Dear

I have Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB with Samsung Memory chip.

My claymore says it is using 100 W per card, and settings are 2100 memory and core 1150
I used Polaris flash for bios.

Can you help me please to have lower power consumption?

This is what I use in claymore

-epsw x -mode 1 -dcri 5 -asm 1 -mport 3339 -mpsw API2018 -cclock 1150 -cvddc 940 -mclock 2100 -tstop 80 -tt 60 -fanmin 60 -fanmax 100

Thank you

You can try -powlim -20 or test if you can lower -clock 2100 to get same hashrate

You know, I tried most of the mods that someone in this forum and also in the other forum to my sapphire nitro 570 8gb (micron) but i only got 28-29.5MH until some of my cards got bricked and I tried to bring back to it's original mods but error code 43 shows up in some of my cards.

Various RX 580s 8gb sapphire nitro has best cooling according to me. All other brands fan is failing after 3 years of runtime :-)
Each card separately fine tuned (could do more) :-)
Avg setting 1180 core @840mv , mem 2100@850mv using claymore with straps 1,2 rxboost 1 -y ....
I get average 32.x mhs @ 135watts on each gpu(miner shows 85watts average), could make it more efficient but dont want to reduce hadhrate as have fixed power rate :-)

6 gpu rig total : 196mhs@850watts off wall. . Claymore shows 540 watts gpu consumption lol, i wish :-)

Hello.

I am currently running a rig of two Powercolor Red Dragon RX 580 8Gb's, one Powercolor R9 380X 4gb, and one XFX R9 380x 4gb using Window 10 Pro, Blockchain Driver August 23. XFX sits directly on mainboard, the other three on riser. RX 580 are using modded bios from Anorak.tech (https://anorak.tech/community/t/bios-request-powercolor-rx580-8gb-red-dragon-samsung/28052). Here are what I got:

Hash rate of 101 Mh/s (29.6 for RX 580, 21.4 for Powercolor R9 and 20.5 for XFX R9)
Power pulled from the wall is 880W which is very high.

Does any have good setting for Powercolor Red Dragon RX 580 to lower power consumption?

Thank you
For RX 580 you have to use settings -cvddc 830 -mvddc 830 with lower GPU frequency to achieve stability (may be 1150 Mhz, it depends on ASIC quality of your GPU). Most of energy consumes your R9 cards.

RX 580 do not accept less than 850mv stable. almost all RX 580 will do 30mh except if memory are very low tier. the best for me are Micron by a huge lot. i have two MSI Gaming X 580 8gb with samsung memory, and they can't go past 2100mhz without having losts of errors. two micron are doing 2250 without erros. The rest are Hynix with variable results. I have 1 card doing 2050 at best. And other hynix doing 2250 without errors.

all RX 570 and 580 will pull from 120 to 140 if well optimized, bios modded and undervolted. less than 120W is unreal. if you see numbers like 90W or 100W that's only core power. the rest is not being counted, which is obviously not real.

Sorry, I don't have a solution for your question, but if low power consumption is important to you then try mining one of the Cryptonight variant coins, I found they take 25% to 30% less power to mine - and you can always then convert your Monero (or whatever) to Ethereum.

I run my RX580 sapphire nitro+ special edition with modded bios from anoraktech at the foll values set by overdriventool

GPU 1175 mHz / 850 mV
MEM 2200 mHz / 850 mV

Hashrate per card 31.5 mh/s at approx 110w on the wall

How the hell can you guys mine that high with such a low power consumption ?!

My MSI 580 Gaming X is pulling 28 mh/s + 1100mh/s DCR and it takes around 200watts

Would anyone want to give me an overclocking lesson? I guess it could be very usefull and I could pay for it...

First of all, you should stop dual mining, it doesn't make any sens anymore with decred asic, and you will increase your ETH hashrate while reducing A LOT your consumption. You can find plenty of nice tuto on this forum about overclocking. I have this one in mind : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/guidetutorialxmrethhow-to-mod-bios-rx470570480580-vega-mining-1954245.

Anyone using ASUS Radeon RX 580 8GB Dual-fan OC Edition GDDR5?
I got a pretty good deal for this model but the thing is, I found different opinions someone says it is decent, someone says it has a bad cooling.
Any first hand experiences here? Someone mining with such? What are the temperature, clocks, and what algo are you mining whit it? Do you also have any other model to compare the Asus with it?
Thanks!

I have one and the cooling is totally fine. Pretty silent and while mining different cryptonight coins and ETH it sits at around 70°C max. So yeah, go for it. Good luck with memory vendor lottery Cheesy

Hmm isn't 70 celsius kinda high?
I have MSI Armors and currently I mine Ethash with 31 Mhs and 59 celsuis. Undervolted and bios modded.
Thanks for the answer!
