on IOS, you can still use breadwallet (http://breadwallet.com), so far so good and also reviews are generally positive. I used to just for import private keys and send bitcoins to another wallet, but it simply works fine.

This is bad news for me.

Was planning on switching to a iPhone in next couple of weeks and was thinking I would use MyCelium on there as I'm currently using it on my Android phone.

So I will now either have to consider another wallet and or maybe just stick with an Android phone..... decisions, decisions..... Cheesy

uhh, thanks for surprising info. you know, logo is same, name is same, design "feels" same so I really thought, that I'm dealing with real Mycelium and not some piece of simialar crap.

at least I'm bit smarter now, anyway this "pseudo-software", which is not even working is not good for bitcoin at all..

so for everybody, how is not fully aware like me before couple of days: DON'T USE MYCELIUM FOR IOS.

OK, this is a pretty trivial request and others may not agree with me but I'll run it up the flagpole and see who salutes.

I run with several accounts and after I have done working with an account and I am on the "balance" screen, I'll hit the back button, intending to go back to the accounts selection screen to work with a different account and the app will exit.

Now, obviously, this is "correct" given the logic of the UI but it would be nice if hitting back in this situation (and maybe others) would take you to the account selection screen. Having done some android development, I know this would be a pretty simple change.

Thoughts?

so so, this is also thread related to mycelium from IOS?

I recently switched from my nexus to iphone 6 (ios6), because I have to...installed mycelium, imported paper wallet and...I was unable to send my bitcoin to any address. They literally stuck in phone, so I have to install multibit HD and import wallet with couple of words from mycelium backup.

this is standard behavior, that mycelium for ios is not able to send any bitcoin outside or it is just me?

Hi, the updated version of the mycelium wallet is 2.5.3 right? I already updated it via google playstore and when the update finished, I checked my mycelium wallet but the version is still 2.5.2. I checked for update again via playstore but there's no update button which means the app is up to date. Still, the version 2.5.2 Huh What am I missing? Please help

Thanks!

I was able to update to 2.5.3 by selecting to update from mycelium homepage instead of Google Play. Download the file and click on it and it should update. Google Play tends to lag behind in getting the latest version. I also had to do it this way to get 2.5.2 when it came out.

Finally a response on this thread Grin Actually I already did that just yesterday and it really worked, I guess it's not really on my side but on Google Playstore side. Thanks anyways for at least replying on my inquiry Smiley

It just happened to me for the second time that Mycelium refuses to work because there is a newer version, but when I chose to get that newer version from the Google Play Store, there was none.

I could imagine that some users would be rightfully worrying about sideloading an app like Mycelium from another source, having to allow installing from unknown sources, etc. Therefore I think it could be better to let Mycelium demand a new version only after that version is in fact available on the Play Store.

Right, or even better allow me to skip the upgrade if I don't want to download it right now. Maybe I want to wait until I get home and can download the new version over wi-fi, but still want to be able to use the wallet in the mean time.

For critical upgrades maybe it makes sense to prohibit old versions from being used, but most upgrades aren't critical.

Beside this place and github, where do people go to discuss Mycelium wallet ?

Is there a reddit, a twitter, a support forum ?

I've seen stuff on Google Plus, but that may only be for beta testers, I'm not sure.

Could be there's a page for the released versions too - I'm not a big fan of Google Plus personally.

looking to how i can import a watch only HD wallet from an offline mycelium app, over to my regular online phone.

* go to 'accounts' tab
* 'add key'
* 'advanced'
* ('scan', then scan xpub qr code from paper wallet) OR (have xpub code on clipboard and touch the 2nd button to import from clipboard)

Mycelium did a double spend today on me. I sent a payment and it tried to broadcast the same transaction twice about 8 minutes apart from each other. The second transaction was nullified by the network as a double spend. Thought this was odd. Checked back and my balance was incorrect, couldn't get it to correct even after refreshing. Had to uninstall  Sad  Has this happened to anyone else?

Yesterday I loaned 0.03 btc someone and same thing happened with me too. It was a really scary thing for me. I thought , I sent the borrower 2 times by mistake, when I saw the same transaction double in transaction list of my android mycelium wallet.

So I have tried to cancel the double spent transaction and everything went ok now.

Unfortunately not that simple from my reading. Coinkite explains in their blog post they had to change the code in their wallet because of the double spends. Mycelium and others may have to do the same until BIP62 is adopted.

Ahh thanks for the link! This all makes more sense now. I was thinking it was an electrum problem when instead it's a nasty node, or multiple nodes... isn't there a ban score for malicious nodes so we can ban nodes like Amaclin's?
