Myetherwallet is safe to a very reasonable extend. It is also advice and very safe to use my etherscan.io to access your token in your wallet instead of going to your wallet direct on the internet.

MyEtherWallet is not a wallet. I suggest to everyone and each of you READ what is written in slides when you open either MEW or Mycrypto interface. Everything is written there. MEW is an interface, it is not the wallet, bank or anything like that.
Both MEW and Mycrypto is safe enough for me. I don't usually use json and I never use private key, I use Metamask connected to the Mycrypto for my daily use and Trezor with Mycrypto for the stagger solution.
MyCrypto,, This is the first time I've heard this name because I've been using MEW to store my ETH and token erc20. I just want to add the ERC20 tokens or the Eth based tokens. MEW is capable of storing any tokens as long as its ETH based. I know which Country you belong and I believe MEW isnt gonna be used by majority to store their ETH anymore, since the mainstream local wallet in our country added the new wallet to store ETH.
MEW is always safe to use and you can store most of the altcoin which is developed under this Ethereum Blockchain. Becarefull with the other websites and don't share your private keys to people who ever ask for it, and you can store as many coins as possible in single MEW.

For those of you who don’t know or who are not familiar with Myetherwallet, yes it is safe but be very careful because there is a lot of phishing sites out there and one of which is the same as MEW exchange site. Always check or if not, bookmark the website to be safe and sure.
I think myetherwallet for now is not secure because so many people lose token and eth, because people are not responsible for theft by means of brute force.
Even I dont think if that problems in MyetherWallet, it's just people who using MyetherWallet less careful, I've been using MyetherWallet since 1 year or more i guess, till now i have no problems with thats, all good, Nah I've heard who lose their money from phising site, so keep careful with phishing sites that similiar with MyetherWalletmaybe the problems are we cannot save our private keys in the safe place. because I see that there are a people which copy paste their private keys in everywhere without knows how if other people see this and I guess their tokens can be stolen by that people. I've been using mew too and I don't have any bad experience and I don't want to have it because I want to protect my tokens so I can sell it when the price increases higher.
yes that is the reason why people got hacked because they oftenly visit myetherwallet without bookmarking the real site, thats why they are mostly prone to phised attacks. i myself is using myetherwallet for about 7 months and so far i didnt experienced to get phised because i rarely visit mew and also i do already bookmarked the official site. Overall myetherwallet is fully safe and legit as long as you already know how to spell and read the correct spelling of the site.

One member of my family using MEW and being hacked by someone else. So i suggest you should keep your private key safe in your google drive word, anything that suit you. And use metamask as well. Until now, Metamask have no problem, at least to me

MEW is safe if it is used with a hardware wallet like Ledger Nano S.
