Myetherwallet is safe ,it depends on the users why some of them says it's not secure, it's thier fault they believe in every email that they recieve that contains a phishing link.

It is their fault by not believing the MEW because I am using it for more than a year and didn't face any problem. Only thing isbwe have to be very careful because we should not share our private key to others. Don't click on concerned links related to MEW.

I think MEW is safest wallet to store ERC 20 token but we have to secure our wallet all possible ways. Otherwise, we will end up loosing those coins, it always good not share any of your personal information regarding wallets.

the most important thing that must be kept confidential and security is our Private Key, do not be given to others, lest anyone know besides our own and do not get lost. And if you accidentally give Private Key to others accidentally or unintentionally, then be sure that sooner or later the Coin - coin in your MEW account will be stolen. Moreover, if you forget or remove the Private Key that you have, then you will never be able to access your MEWmu account unless you find the private key again.

Been using Myetherwallet for almost a year and ive never experience any problem on thier wallet. Its safe and secured as long as you know what youre doing.

Exactly, even i want to express same because i am using it more than a year now and i dont face any problem till now. The major thing we have to keep all the information in safe place to protect our account. Before sending the private and secret information better try to check twice.

Im using MEW for long time. Never had any problems with that. I don't think you will have any problem till you save your private key or Keystore file in unsafty place

saving your private keys in a safe place wouldnt help you either because there is still a chance that you can get phished if ever you didnt bookmarked the original official site of myetherwallet. private keys isnt also the safest and recomended type of accessing your account but instead they rather recomend you to use metamask , misk , and json file for a safer transaction.

In my case i also never experience any problem using mew ever since i started using it 8 months ago.therfor i can say that is actually safe but it depends on how you handle your account or how carefull you are.

somebody using myetherwallet should be very carreful with phishing sites. He should be %100 sure to go to legit website.

ALso computer should be checked against viruses as they can catch private keys from memory when you copy and paste.

Hello guys , I would like to ask this from more veteran people here if MEW or shall we say myetherwallet.com is safe or not..?
Some of my colleagues said that myetherwallet is not safe because there maybe some intruders with wide and depeest knowledge
When it comes to security bypass could get access of your account at myetherwallet? Please
Help me answer this if mew is safe or not.. Is this a user fault to expose their private key or there is.someone could really
Access our account .. using security bypass? Please thank you.

well to me as the case may be security should be the first things that will come into our mind because any slight mistake you are gone and is forever not yours. the only i have to say MEW is that they should introduce 2FA the is the only were by we can reduce the fraud and hacking of a case.
see telling you online wallet are secured. i would love offline wallet because difficult someone to hack you just like that. i m seriously pleading to ether technologist to advanced in the security aspect because a-lot of complain are really going concerning ether wallet.

The use of MEW will depend on the purpose of each person. If you decide on long-term investment and hold, using MEW will be insecure as the website can be attacked at any time. So if you have long-lasting hold, you should use offline hardware wallet to be more secure. If regular trading, then uses the MEW and bookmark website to access to avoid access to the phishing site similar to MEW.

for now myetherwallet wallet is very safe, because it already has KYC so maintain your account security, and secure your money.
myetherwallet is the safest wallet for your current money saving. but still the hackers are more in love, so I hope you are wiser in choosing.

I think myetherwallet can be very secure but if we are not aware of giving away our private key it is very dangerous

If you do not have the need to trade but merely invest the hold for a long time, then I do not think it should contain cryptos on MEW because it is not safe, can be attacked at any time. You should store crypto in a cold wallet such as a Ledge Nano S or any offline wallet that is safer than storing it on an e-wallet online. And when you want to sell, please send to MEW to conduct transactions on exchange floors.

Yes myetherwallet is safe to stored ethereum. Here in my country mytherwallet.com is one of the trusted ethereum wallet that are use of of many user for storing ethereum while in treading.

I just want to add the ERC20 tokens or the Eth based tokens. MEW is capable of storing any tokens as long as its ETH based. I know which Country you belong and I believe MEW isnt gonna be used by majority to store their ETH anymore, since the mainstream local wallet in our country added the new wallet to store ETH.
There are lots of 3rd party wallets which are really capable on storing out ETH but i would still always prefer on using MEW over them. Why? Simply because you do have the full access into your json.file and your private keys which you cant really obtained if you are using 3rd party wallet sites. If their service or site is gone then say goodbye completely with your coins and thats the risk involve on using them this is why its always been the best to store it out in MEW.

I agree with that. When talking about the safety of storing your ETH and other Erc20 tokens its always the best to use MEW. The only reason why I used local 3rd party wallet is only for my own convenience, and Im not storing huge amount of ETH anyway.
Looking from which side on this look. If you are observing safety on your personal computer, then you are doing well. Everywhere is not safe!

Myetherwallet is the safest wallet for me  right now cause you save ethereum and erc tokens. MEW is my favorite wallet . Safe, secure .
Its purpose is to store ethereum and erc-20 tokens, it doesn't make it safe because of that  Roll Eyes
It is safe because no one can crack your private key and steal your funds, unless you have keylogger or someone phish you, but that is other story.

i think, not possible as long they cant able to crack your private key they cant do nothing to have an access into your wallet which I can say that MEW is safe for now. If you have seen the recent hack of Etherdelta. Some people do make false assumptions that MEW isn't safe because most people did able to lose their tokens because hacker did have an access to their mew but the truth is that its being accessed because hacker used DNS type of hacking which if you have logged in on the exchange without log-outing your account then for sure you would really lose your tokens.
