Hmm, must have missed something... Last time I saw the stats IOS and Android had 93% of the Dutch market. With Android around 80%...

True, more or less. Except a lot of Android users are non crypto users, i.e. teenagers. Like 13 year old boys and girls who use Android phones because of the simple fact that most of those plastic thingies are cheap.
Picture shows last 28 days of visits from Guldencoinforum. Take a look at the numbers shown.

Pardon my ignorance but why is iOS wallet such a big deal?  Huh

Hey Mega,

It opens up the doors for more people to purchase from offline merchants like subway as iphones are still more popular then android in the Netherlands, it also shows intent that we not just sitting around waiting for others to do it and that we getting ahead of the pack and builds more confidence that we are a serious coin with a great community. Smiley

When Rijk has spoken to offline merchants and some of the owners have iphones it doesn't look good that we can't accommodate iOS.

Hmm, must have missed something... Last time I saw the stats IOS and Android had 93% of the Dutch market. With Android around 80%...

thsminer, you are absolutely right... I don't know why I assumed it was the other way around, but the main thing is we need to cater for everyone as best we can, businesses want to make sure all smartphones users are catered for. This is mainly for street/walkin/offline merchants.

@Veertje . +1 This will definitely help with more exposure for the coin. Smiley
Smiley Although IOS has a small market share it is an important user community. So that wallet would be a big plus for the coins credibility.

These 2 articles show iOS still has impact in the marketplace.

My experience is that a particular type of people use iPhone which includes a lot of business people. Android phones are a lot cheaper than iPhone so probably more used by the majority. Maybe this explain things a bit.

This is a good one! Nice portfolio they have. They must be good in their job.
Lots of connections, so I think they will spread the word about NLG.

How is the purchasing power of NLG determined when buying something? Is it based off the last market price?

Price at that moment on litebit.

Is the price based off the orderbook? So if I make a purchase using 10 000 NLG it will sell 10 000 NLG on the market and give me the avg?

It is based on the price on litebit in Euro as far as I know. So if the price on litebit is at 1,60 Euro for 1000 NLG and at that moment buy a sandwich, you pay that price. Maybe someone can make it more clear.

F.e.: Sandwich 4 Euro = 2500 NLG.

But I don't know how litepaid handles it further.
