Using PPP will not make that data to be accurate, why did China having the strongest economy if PPP is used for the GDP calculation, but normally people always says it is US that has the strongest economy, this is because nominal is used which is what people recognized more, then followed by PPP. I still do not understand why Chainanalysis make use of PPP, even if PPP would be used, why not having nominal too which will be first to recognize. If the wealthiest man in the world are calculated based on PPP, did you think the richest men will be from US and Dangote will even be ranked higher. That data is a little confusing, I still believe Nigeria still remain first in P2P in Africa, using just trading volume will be enough. We do not need to go for most Africa most crypto friendly country or the Africa country that adopt Bitcoin and other crypto the most.

Also, the data does not include the transfer of funds with custodial exchanges among customers, correct me if wrong. Did you know how Nigerians are using more of exchanges even without thinking about KYC.

It is clear on the exchanges how Nigeria is the first in P2P in Africa, but check what Chainanalysis calculated out because PPP was used in the calculation or maybe also with other reasons I do not yet know.

Kenya rated 1st
Togo rated 2nd
Tanzania rated 4th
How come Nigeria is rated 18th

Even that small Togo is rated 2nd. I think you should try to check this out very well and know how this could be misleading when it comes to trading volume per country. Also with this calculation, it is clear that you can not be able to know about crypto trading volume per country. Just imagine, can Togo be ahead of Nigeria? We should not always believe what this sited are giving out to the public.

Although, I just used this as an example to bring up a suggestion about how our local board should be like, so that we people will make decisions about how our local board should be like, it was really good we had good discussion about this and I was surprised people were concluding this to be a good suggestion and highly welcomed by Nigerians on this forum that participated in the discussion.

Child-board for politics and society was suggested but some people still think that it is not yet necessary.
Also to make the main board '(Pidgin) Nigeria' was suggested but another user commented that Pidgin is not only spoken in Nigeria, it is also a lingua Franca in some other west African countries while native languages might still also fit into the local board later, which means all Nigerian languages are welcomed.

In accordance to our discussion, this were what we wanted for our local board:

I will be making the introduction of this on our request board and edit the OP. If there is anything anyone of us is not yet pleased with, let us know. To add more board, we can still later request for that as once suggest, or if we have local moderator, that would also still be easy to achieve.

Nice one!

Why using PPP? While not nominal? Nominal could have given us the information we need which makes Nigeria number in Africa in P2P trading and also probably in adoption. Or maybe there is something I am not still getting rightly about this but using purchasing power in the calculation makes this not to be accurate to me, but although it was indicated that PPP was used for the three calculations which were used for the crypto adoption index.

I noticed we lost that position to Kenya since July this year they leapfrog us, that's the advantage of having government who think and the ones without sense, since banks started putting limit to inflow and outflow p2P traders could not trade as much as they normally trade so I think the new CBN restrictions play a vital position

I think we will have more accurate result about this from this Chainanalysis report which also include the information provided above.

We may be leading in p2p but adoption? Hell No!!!
According to the report which is also indicated in the image above, did you actually noticed that Kenya is ranked higher even in P2P trading than Nigeria? Kenya is even ranked as the first.

Kenya ranked 1
Vietnam ranked 3
Nigeria ranked 18

On-chain cryptocurrency value received, weighted by purchasing power parity (PPP) per capita
On-chain retail value transferred, weighted by PPP per capita
Peer-to-peer (P2P) exchange trade volume, weighted by PPP per capita and number of internet users

On the other news we are already losing the crypto fight as Africa number one to Kenya.
Please, provide more data to prove this. I do not think we are even competing with any other country aside South Africa, I may not be totally correct, providing data will solve this but I do not think we are losing anything to Kenya at all.

Guy I no say dem no dey destroy beer but wetin me and you know be say for naija things still dey happen when dey still dey stop am. Beer still dey make market for north there. In fact, nothing wey no still dey happen there, even brothel and babes wey dey hussle dey there both muslim and Christians all on code.
This is true, I remembered when I was in North, there are places like that and it is one of the most developed part of the state.

For human rights wey them dey violate for hisba as you talk, my broda naija dey violate even more. Government wey no dey release allege offender wen court don rule for release.
Exactly, absolutely right.

are they part of the Nigerian police or just a locally Made police cause I never understand why they have such power to decide what happen to a state full of Muslims and Christians
Kano is a Muslim state, Hisba can not have power in Christian states. Just like we have customary court like Sharia in North, so are Hisba which deal with what are related to native related matters which is basically setup with the laws of Sharia too.

the anti-grazing law is on the media because it's against the Muslims agenda, all the killings and kidnapping of girls child is never talked about.
We know how these people are, even bubu will like open grazing, that is why he will always want it to continue so that Fulanis will terrorize southern states.

Them get their sabo gari area wey dem dey flex, na who dem catch go collect. I dey really feel wike, although na because him too no be APC
Southern people makes Sabon Gari to be like that, Hisba got no option because of the tribes that dominate the area which are people from the South. But, why are beers destroyed or confiscated on their way to north? Try to related it to what CB post which is the truth of the matter. Hisba are violating human right, truth to speak.

This Hisba are very powerful under this government before now I never hear of this Islamic police or group before, are they part of the Nigerian police or just a locally Made police cause I never understand why they have such power to decide what happen to a state full of Muslims and Christians, normally you hardly see a good Muslim taking beer so I no see why den go want destroy something meant for the Christians and they will still look up to the same company for monthly taxes.

This is something a president will address on normal norms but we live in an era where the President no even care about anything concerning religion as long as the Muslim is at an advantage, the anti-grazing law is on the media because it's against the Muslims agenda, all the killings and kidnapping of girls child is never talked about. I too see nothing to gain from BBN and many other reality shows, that is why I do not watch them. Although, I wasn't bothered about what was happening in the show before because this is life where women prefer semi-nude appearances, I remembered when I went for NYSC that out dress was even okay and official, a lot of things happened, that is how humans are. That is why a hubby should not let is wife to go for such show because a wife can not be trusted when not a home, that is just the simple fact many people do not like believing, though some women just have the OT to avoid such stupid situations.

Make e no shock you say dey plan am I mean dis days anything dey possible.
Tega husband says he once cheater on her wife on their matrimony bed which I am very sure will be a lie, tega reunited with her family after been evicted from the show and her husband accepted her. This let it to be like it could be planned but this is just a negative lesson to Nigerians. And what if planned but the plan went wrong and they actually did something. I am not a type that even believe otherwise.

Also wetin una reason for wike talk, say make we all dey on our own. I hear the northern been destroy beer and yet dey still wan they recieving der percentage for wetin the company's dey pay for this side them dey reside. Tori just plenty for town this weekend.
The northern part of Nigeria are hindering the country, they focus more on religion (don't get me wrong, read this in full) while some of their laws will hinder the progress of the Nigerian, most of the internally generated revenue comes from South West, South South and and South East, and most of the revenue Nigeria generate comes from South generally, even if Islam is against alcohol, that shouldn't mean it should be enforced on people. Just like South West (the Yorubas) has Muslims, but nothing like anti-alcohol law. Hisba is making life worse in Kano under the pretense of Islam but just as a result of self-centeredness and extremism.

Can you imagine
Hisbah bars radio station from saying ‘Black Friday’

There are many of news like this
I lost over N35m to Hisbah – Beer distributor whose goods were destroyed in Kano

This is the one that happened few days ago
Hisbah confiscates two vehicles carrying 5,760 cartons of beer in Kano

This is the most annoying show I've seen our youths fully involved, the most annoying fact is that there is no moral lesson or even something to learn, just some random men and ladies coming together, eating, partying, having sex and repeat again for 90 days. When I hear the news I then asked myself "what was a married woman doing in the house in the first place?" and then I asked myself the second one " why would a responsible man allow his wife to participate knowing how stupid and evil the show is?"

Then I read about the answer to the first one on the media where the wife was interview and according to her I quote " My hobby said I can do anything in the house apart from sex" like wtf a married woman? And what a stupid man.

There are millions of Nigerians involved in this show if Bigi or the sponsors fit dey encourage crypto news thru this show e go make sense but for now nothing come out.

The only difference wey go dey between Naria note and e-naira na the way of storage, Naira note uses bank while the e-naira will use a centralized wallet from CBN.
Also naira note (in cash) is completely anonymous because the exchange will be P2P directly, but sending fiat (naira) using electronic transfer makes it not much different to the e-naira but just as you commented, one is through the bank while the other will make use of totally centralized government-controlled wallet.

Than opposite of crypto is what the e-naira stands for, this is why all the government(countries) officials are running to create e-curency to devalue bitcoin since they have no control over it.
Yes, the opposite of decentralized cryptocurrencies is what the e-naira is and all other CBDCs, but they are also cryptocurrencies.
