sickening abdications of responsiblity

If you have any useful input, I’m happy to take it into consideration. That is why I post this information. Do people want me spending thousands of dollars keeping the wind turbine looking pretty, or is functionality all that is important? Do we want to blow our BTC repairing an old problematic R4, or put it out to pasture? Did we want to continue in the future with handling altcoin mining like we did with the A3, or was that gain not worth the effort involved?

With no useful feedback, I can only assume that I’m doing a perfect job in my actions. If you had any actual legitimate feedback instead of your usual OgNasty is evil nonsense that everyone in this thread knows is BS, or if you think you can do a better job, I’d love to hear/see it.

Thanks for watching the thread. It’s great to see there is still interest in this project both inside and out of the organization.
Grow up. Stop pretending you have any clue handling people's money. Pay everyone back their bitcoin.

I apologize but I can't take anything you say here seriously after reading your trust rating on me claiming I've stolen 2,100 BTC.

I have some news...

Antminer R4 issues...  I've been trying to keep it running the last few weeks, but it was clear one of the boards was on it's last leg.  I noticed today that the power cables had been burned and the connectors on both boards are pretty much destroyed.  It looks to be the result of some sort of failure on the bad board.  While I could get the connectors replaced, it would likely result in the same thing occurring again.  The R4 is also not capable of running using the supplied firmware with only 1 board.  That leaves me with few options, which is a bit disappointing.  The good thing is that this machine mined for a long time and has been less effective as of late, so it isn't a massive loss.  Any loss stings though, so this sucks.  On the plus side, my house didn't burn down and I'm sure I'll be able to replace the damaged PSU cables.

Siacoin update...  I had sent the mined SC to HitBTC a while back and they have had some internal issues for the last 6+ months that hadn't allowed me to sell this SC.  The end result is that we paid 0.1287 BTC for a Siacoin miner, sold it for 0.036 BTC, and mined 0.13217798 BTC when it was sold (would have been 3x more if HitBTC hadn't screwed us) resulting in a gain of 0.03947798 BTC for NastyMining.  Better than a stick in the eye.  Smiley

Antminer S9 ASICBOOST...  Bitmain's ASICBOOST implementation firmware has been loaded onto our S9 to save some energy.  Thanks to braiins for forcing Bitmain's hand on this issue!

Monsoon Season...  The Wind Turbine took a beating this summer as the weather was a bit extreme.  It is still functioning, but could use a little TLC.  I am debating just how much money is reasonable to spend on upkeep for the turbine, but I do like the project and think it is beneficial to continue.

Outside of all that, everything is pretty typical.  The NastyShop continues selling goods and NastyMining continues mining to raise funds for NastyFans.  At last check NastyMining had around $112,000 saved using the current exchange rate.  No current plans to deploy this capital, but I would like to get some more miners going when prices have adjusted for the next generation of hardware.

Been quiet on here, but figured I'd say "hey!" to all of the Nastyfans out there!   For those of you that have been around for some time, always weird going through these boom/bust cycles...also the best time to get donations which may not seem massive now...but letting them sit and collect next boom cycle, feeling pretty set!

Anyway, hope everyone's doing well and having an enjoyable fall!

How can I get donations for my nasty silver coins? I won them in the lottery a couple of months ago.

The addresses are 1nasty1oKaPW86JsZcoE5EsVaJE76asvj and 1Nasty5Tzv9sbcvv5uDswyujhznSU3Jrqn. I haven't received any distributions but nastyfans says several distributions have been made.

I can't find any way to add these coins to my account.

Looks like the first address you listed has 0.00004572 BTC pending according to the analyzer. There’s a minimum threshold before distributions are made in order to keep the address from being loaded with dust. You need only to wait until more BTC is accumulated.

You add the coins to your account by providing nonnakip with the necessary information. You can do this using this form: https://nastyfans.org/post

Five years ago I released my first coin.  Today I celebrate that event with the release of the Platinum NastyFans 1000 Minted Seat coin to raise $4,000 for NastyFans (oops).  Modeled after my favorite coin, the 2oz silver round, this is the first platinum crypto coin and another great addition to the Minted Seat family.

Out of curiosity, any plan to buy new gears with the 16 btc ?  Grin

The plan is to continue growing that BTC.  However, I will be upgrading our hardware to the latest available at the opportune moment.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NASTYMINING!

Six years ago I decided I didn't like the way people were selling fixed hashrate mining opportunities and I wanted to do something different and honest that could benefit the community as a whole instead of just the issuer of the asset.  NastyMining was what I came up with and it has come a very long way in the last 6 years.  It is a dream come true to be able to continue working on this project and I thank every single of one of you who has contributed in one form or another.  I hope I am able to continue having fun with my fellow NastyFans for the rest of my life.  Long live Bitcoin.

In honor of this 6 year accomplishment (huge in the Bitcoin space) I am offering a raffle to raise some funds and have some fun.  Enjoy!

I've sold off our Siacoin miner (Antminer A3) and sent the funds to NastyMining's address (txid:8840609192e99a9fe64060d2324a561ec59c75f51ef70996747eba24deb52078).  I will continue sitting on our accumulated Siacoin for the time being.

I am surprised anything got offered. I thought that was a totally lost cause. Good deal to get anything.

Agreed.  It was a nice surprise.  Great news for everyone involved in this community project.
