There is a concern regarding our purchased PSUs. (I corrected his statement below per later clarifications)

Quote from: BFL_Josh (corrected)
As a side note, if you are planning on doing any overclocking or running an Imperial, please be sure your PSU has 18ga wire for the PCIe connectors. If you have a cheap PSU that has  Huh wiring, you are going to be a very sad panda at some point I would imagine. The warranty will not cover melted connectors due to incorrect wire sizing. Most quality PSUs should have 18ga wires for their PCIe connectors.

Someone later stated that our ordered PSUs (EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2) use 20GA wiring for their PCIe connectors.  Upon reading that, I looked into it, but was unable to find confirmation of the PCIe connector size used in our PSUs.  This is somewhat of a time pressing issue, as tomorrow is the last day we could return our purchased PSUs for a full refund.

Should we be safe and wait for BFL to recommend a PSU while returning these units?  Anyone have more insight on this issue?

I have received a response from bobsag3 regarding the unit he offered to operate for us.  He does not want to honor that commitment.

I will check out the log.
Thanks for the hard work.
I am sorry I missed the chat today I am not doing well.

The full log from web chat is available on history page of nastyfans.org.

As I mention in the web chat nastyfans.org may be down in the evening of 3 June. Our ISP will do some infrastructure maintenance.

I am on vacation at this time and will not be able to check if there are server problems. Today I rebooted nastyfans.org twice to make sure all services come up on boot. Usually the ISP does not need to reboot the server but sometimes they do.

NASTY JUNE 1st - 11:00AM PST - LIVE CHAT LINK:
THANKS TO THOSE WHO PARTICIPATED!

NASTY MINING CURRENT ORDERS UPDATE:

Alpha Technologies: Waiting on chips to begin testing/assembling miners.  Expected to ship in July.

Black Arrow: Claims to have shipped first X1 miner to a customer.  Also claims to be receiving a revised board for the X3 in the next 2 days.  Expected to ship in June.

Butterfly Labs: Has working prototype of 600GH/s miner.  Waiting on revised boards for both Imperial and standard Monarchs.  Claims to be receiving revised boards in the next few days.  Expected to ship in June.

ELECTRICAL CAPACITY UPGRADE:
We previously had a maximum capacity of 80amps available to our mining operation.  Last week I upgraded our 3x20amp circuits to 6x20amp circuits and also prepared an emergency circuit to be easily accessible in case of a need.  We now have 160amps available and easily accessible for our mining operation.

CURRENT ELECTRICAL CAPACITY:
6x20amp circuits in mining closet
1x20amp circuit in mining room
1x20amp emergency circuit

It is worth noting that for the first month, Nasty Pool has surpassed Nasty Mining in average hashrate.

NASTY MINING AVERAGE MONTHLY HASHRATE:
1.42TH/s

NASTY POOL AVERAGE MONTHLY HASHRATE:
1.56TH/s

Below are screenshots from our p2pool node showing the status of our fan operators for the month of May.  Thank you all.  I have sent numerous messages to babsag3 about why he hasn't been able to get his unit back online, but he is no longer responding to me.   Cry

I will not comment on BFL anymore I found out too much disturbing stuff about them recently to be impartial anymore and I do not want to be dragged into the impending shit storm.

I am glad I sold the other one I purchased not long after I got it.  Fingers crossed.  I will do a tear down when I have not just had a 6 hr round trip to my surgeons.  I am beat right now.

Could be worse.

I hope BFL follows through on the hashing.

So they are going to ship out just a few to try and quell the angry customers while making another excuse for an extended delay yet again.
Sounds and looks familiar.
I am not surprised.

No, they are hoping to get enough working cards to start providing cloud hashing for us until our units ship.  It is unfortunate that they are still revising the boards, but I noticed that I had several different revisions of the original single boards as well.  It is good that they are resolving everything before shipping this time and keeping the underperforming boards for their cloud hashing project.

An update on the hosted BFL Single.
It ate a 2nd power supply last night.  I was able to pick up a new one while I was in Syracuse today for a Dr's appointment.
It is back online.

Damn, that sucks.  I hope something didn't happen to it during shipping that is making it run through PSUs.  Sad

Where is Monarch?

Here's today's BFL update:

Quote from: Monarch Engineering Update 28 May 2014
Engineering work continues on the Monarchs. We have a stable 600 GH/s board hashing currently, without any major issues.

Over the past week, we have been diagnosing an issue with heat on the boards and finally located the culprit. With the Imperial class product, the board begins to overheat without extended cooling measures. The board was originally designed for 350w. At 600 GH/s, the board works as designed, since the power usage and current is within the design parameters. In the Imperial class boards, the power and current requirements are substantially more than it was designed for. There is a common copper power plane in one of the layers of the board which is inadequate to carry the amount of current required. As such, it starts to heat up the board to unacceptable levels and would shorten it's life. Because of this, we have to create a new revision of the board that will have a much more robust copper plane that will allow 4x the amount of current as the current plane, while letting the board run much cooler. These new revision boards are in the manufacturing process right now and we expect them to come out of manufacturing around 6 - 9 of June.

In the meantime, we have a number of the 600 GH/s boards available and they are being prepped for deployment. I have proposed that to get the hashing power out to customers as fast as possible, we offer Mining By the Gigahash to the customers that have orders in the queue, in order date sequence. We will supply each user with hashing power for each card ordered. Customers that receive the MBGH wouldl have use of the hashrate until their revised 1 TH cards are ready to ship. This will allow our customers to start hashing right away while we wait on the revised boards to make their way through manufacturing, packaging and shipping. We are looking into the feasibility of this and whether or not we can deploy the cards in enough time to make this effective, as it entails quite a bit of work on our end to make sure this goes smoothly, works properly and everyone gets what they are suppose to.

Well, I don't know what's going on.. Tonight I got an email from BFL which said they expect to ship within a week or so..

As usual with BFL, time will tell..

Squirrel, you were quoting a post from BFL that was more than a month old.  They've shown they have a working product and are expected to begin shipments next week.

Where is Monarch?

I would guess maybe end of June if lucky or start of July.
