Another split on the early bets and won some thanks to the New Orleans Pelicans defeating the Memphis Grizzlies. 2 of 3. Not bad.

Like I said, it's a mismatch. Pelicans should definitely win that game without any problem but the Grizzlies somehow gave them some trouble even when Zion is playing and most of their stars. Anyway, a win is still a win.

Nice winnings danherbias07 even though 1 game was lost, it was still a juicy win for you Pelicans look good Zion Williamson is now playing for the team, and CJ McCollum looks great along with Brandon Ingram for sure the Pelicans will be a hard team to crack,

Now for the games today here is the pick and prediction

Milwaukee Bucks (1.45) VS Philadelphia 76ers (2.85)

The game will commence at Fiserv Forum, the home of the Milwaukee Bucks, for this game the Milwaukee Bucks don't have any injuries, while the Philadelphia 76ers have James Harden with a personal problem, and can not play for the Philadelphia 76ers, Well right now this is the first time these two teams will play for the regular season so this for me is an interesting game because Damian Lillard is now playing for the Milwaukee Bucks, well the Bucks has become 1st seed last season, so for sure the Bucks will be dominant in this game and now that Lillard is in this team for me Damian Lillard will eventually get used in the Bucks so my pick is the Milwaukee Bucks,

Los Angeles Lakers (1.48) VS Phoenix Suns (2.75)

The game will commence at Crypto.com Arena, the home of the Los Angeles Lakers, for this game Los Angeles Lakers Cam Reddish has a foot injury and is doubtful if he can play for the Lakers, Jarred Vanderbilt has a heel and Jalen Hood-Schifino has a knee injury and is doubtful if they can play for the Lakers while The Phoenix Suns, Devin Booker has a foot injury, and Bradley Beal has a back injury, and both are questionable if they can play and Damion Lee has a knee injury, for this game, I really think that the Lakers has a smooth run sometimes but seeing the last game for the Suns Devin Booker is firing up and have defeated the Warriors so for sure the answer is the Phoenix Suns,

We will be having 2 games for the NBA Today

Milwaukee Bucks VS Philadelphia 76ers

The stake odds for this game are 1.45 for the Bucks and 2.85 for the 76ers, for this game the Milwaukee Bucks don't have any injuries, while James Harden has a personal problem and is expected to be out until at least Oct 29, for sure Harden wants to be out of the 76ers so I really don't know if Harden will really return for the Philadelphia 76ers, now for this game, Damian Lillard will now be playing for the 76ers and he is making progress with the team's gameplay, for me Milwaukee Bucks is kind of interesting with Damian Lillard on the Roster so for this game I am going with the Milwaukee Bucks,

Los Angeles Lakers VS Phoenix Suns

The stake odds for this game are 1.48 for the Lakers and 2.75 for the Suns, for this game Cam Reddish is questionable if he can play for the Lakers, and Jarred Vanderbilt is Expected to be out until at least Oct 29, Jalen Hood-Schifino Expected to be out until at least Nov 4, can both can not play for the Lakers, while Devin Booker and Bradley Beal are both questionable if they can play for the Phoenix Suns, and Damion Lee is Expected to be out until at least Dec 31, and can not play against the Suns, for me I really don't trust the Lakers for now, but for this 1st regular game for this two team I am trusting the Milwaukee Bucks that landed in the 1st seed in the eastern conference and now that Damion Lee is playing for this team, so for sure I am going with the Milwaukee Bucks for this game,

Luka was efficient so do Kyrie and Lively, and those steals they made on the last seconds really make a difference to take that lead. I think both of these rookies has the potentials to improve and what an NBA debut they have had, it's totally a great match and feels like a playoffs category type of a match.
Luka is back in his usual form, notching a triple-double in the game, much like his buddy Jokic, who's also started the season with the same impressive production. It's great to see them performing at their best.

Irving is playing well too, and this time around, it seems there are no chemistry issues. They've likely worked out those problems after the disappointing outcome of last season.

But when you take a look at the Spurs' roster, it's nice to see how well they're sharing the ball. They're maintaining a high field goal percentage at 52%, and an impressive 7 players are scoring in double digits. That's some impressive teamwork.  Smiley
That game last night was close til the end. I had Dallas -4.5 and was very worried they wouldn't cover. Kyrie played like shit til the 4th quarter and Luka was clutch at the end. Luckily in the last 2 minutes Dallas took over for good.

I'm not sure how deep Dallas will go, but I agree the team chemistry appeared to be great. It's early in the season, but if they can play as a team like last night, they should have a great year. I'd like to see them with a little more defense is my only real critique.
Luka is bulldozing those who defends him and I don't think Jeremy Sochan will be able to handle that, he's just so good and has high IQ on the floor. That Spurs performance is commendable knowing there's no superstar on that team, they are just well-coached I think. The thing is that if Luka goes to bench the team goes at a disarray on the floor, and yeah I agree with yahoo that Kyrie just has been good on that last quarter.

Hey sports enthusiasts,

We've got two games coming up tomorrow, and here are the betting spreads:

Sixers @ Bucks: -6.5
Suns @ Lakers: -5.5

As you've probably noticed, the Lakers are now heavy favorites at -5.5. This line was initially set at just -1.5 for the Lakers, but that changed due to the news about Booker, who's doubtful to play due to a foot injury. It doesn't seem to be a severe injury, but he's likely resting for this game. Do you think Durant can lead his team to a victory?

You can check  my previous post for the details.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.63058095

I'm leaning towards picking the Lakers to win and cover the spread. They're coming off a tough loss on the road, and this game marks their home opener against an undermanned Phoenix team. There doesn't seem to be a compelling reason why they can't secure the victory.

While we all know Durant is a superstar but he is not anymore on his prime, while the Lakers with their full squad are in full strength. I believe the Suns' offense may struggle to keep up with the Lakers. My prediction is that the Lakers will win and cover the spread as they might win by double digit.

I went the other way and picked the Suns +7.5. They still have Durant and I’m expecting an epic LeBron/Durant matchup. Not to mention it isn’t set in stone that Booker and Beal aren’t playing yet, and if they do play I think the Suns are the favorites, so it seems like a decent bet. I also added in a Bucks win because I think they’re going to be better than expected this year.

I will go on the -2.5 @1.82 for the Dallas Mavericks against the Spurs on a live bet. There's no question how good Wemby is, we have seen him in pre-season and for sure he will be one superstars in this league.

However, I think the experience of Dallas will be too much to handle even if they take a big lead at the start of the 2nd quarter.

And I'm sensing the Luka might pull a triple double.
Actually, I sniped the ML @2.07 in favor of Dallas while the Spurs was still up by 5 or 6 if I were to remember it correctly on the third quarter. The last minute of the last quarter was really an intense one considering Wemby really explodes and definitely he just was unlucky with those turnover and foul trouble in the early quarters but Coach Pop is a true genius to still let Wemby in even with the means of getting fouled out.

Luka was efficient so do Kyrie and Lively, and those steals they made on the last seconds really make a difference to take that lead. Good call mate, Dallas won as Luka takes the game over and he did manage to pull a triple double.

This is just the start of the season but there are a lot of great games already. Like the Knicks vs Celtics. Boston started hot with KP first game as a Celtics and he has a explosive first quarter. But the Knicks refuses to give up in this game, and even though Brunson is struggling the whole Knicks team make a huge comeback and even take the lead. But KP again exploded with his back to back three's and then just play good defense in the dying seconds.
The top teams at the start of this season performed quite well by getting win in their first match.
The eastern and western regions each provide quite impressive match schedules but there are two teams that are quite big and strong but failed to win namely the Lakers and the Warriors.

From the western region tomorrow there will be match between Lakers vs Suns and this will be quite an interesting match.
Let see if the Lakers manage to get a win in this match as revenge for previously being beaten by the Nuggets with very narrow point difference.

I decided to toss up a little parlay to get some multi bet excitement going for tonight’s games. I got the Nuggets beating the Lakers and the Suns beating the Warriors. I think KD is going to come out like a man on a mission. Just to spruce things up a little bit more, I added in a Wilder win for this weekend’s boxing match up.

1 day into the new basketball season and so far I’ve predicted every game correctly and won my multi bet. Will I be able to keep the parlay streak alive for a second game? Probably not, but I’m here to try. With 12 NBA games scheduled for today, it will be a little more difficult, but for now I’m happy to be at 100% accuracy with my picks.

Last night was the worse day to go for player props' as I couldn't figure which players are the new starters or bench and role players for majority of the teams, I believe it will take a few more games to be able to finally know which players what coaches have decide as their starting 5 for the season all things being equal.

There were also a lot of anomalies with line spread and over/under, I guess that's a normal phenomenon when there are 12 games for the night, it's very tough to get every spread the right way.

___________

Today's fixture looks rather more straight forward with the two games, Lakers against Suns, and Milwaukee Bucks vs 76ers, I think I'll be backing the favorites in both fixtures.

So what's left is the Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks who have not played the regular season just yet. Tomorrow they will be matched against each other.
But here is the problem.
Sixers' James Harden returns to practice, but won't travel with team for NBA season opener vs. Bucks
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/sixers-james-harden-returns-to-practice-but-wont-travel-with-team-for-nba-season-opener-vs-bucks/
Take note of that before placing your bets for tomorrow guys because this will affect the game big time. The Bucks might get the W in their home without much resistance if James Harden keeps on resisting.  Cheesy

Thanks for this news, and probably why the Sixers are a huge underdogs against the Bucks for tomorrow's game.

I already locked in my bet at -6.5 at 1.93. I think the Bucks can cover this one if Giannis and Dame putting up a show for their fans in their first home games. And regarding the James Harden news, not sure why the Sixers though have this curse, first it was Ben Simmons drama, and now we have Harden refusing to play or just insisting that he wanted to be out of the Sixers and traded to the Clippers. But it seems that it's not going to happen for now, so let's see who is going to win in this one. Whether it's the team or the player itself who will succumb to the pressures.

There was some news on the Harden saga while I was watching my bets dissolve with the Wembanyama double-double and to score over 20+ points go bad early on since he was riding 4 fouls at the start of the second half of last nights game against Luka and the Mavericks.
There was some talk on 76ers but with their other superstar player Joel Embiid looking towards New York to become a Knick's player:

Memphis ruined my parlay. I didn't know that Ja Morant would not play tonight. (Under suspension right?)

We won't be see him for 25 games of the Memphis, due to his 2nd offense which the NBA as given him more serious punishment.

Here's some news regarding that.

Morant is suspended for the first 25 games of the 2023-24 season for what the NBA termed conduct detrimental to the league.

I’m going for an easy (lol) parlay today hoping to cash in on a second multi bet for the second day of the season. Here’s the winners I’m going with.

Celtics over Knicks
Heat over Pistons
Timberwolves over Raptors
Kings over Jazz
Mavericks over Spurs
Clippers over Trailblazers

Would be difficult to hit that many games so early in the season with so much unknown, but those were the picks I felt comfortable making today.

I was so close to hitting this parlay. Absolutely ridiculous that the Minnesota Timberwolves lost to the Toronto Raptors by 3 points. My streak is ended on the second day of the season. Would have been one hell of a hit though. I think the odds were 13:1 or something like that. The Wolves fg% absolutely lost the game for them.
That's still impressive, bro! That's 5 out of 6. Just come back tomorrow with a winning parlay, maybe reduce the number. Grin

As for me, I got a win, but it was just a single bet. I also had a live bet on New York, covering the +4.5 handicap. I was thrilled watching the game, and I'm glad that even though the Knicks lost, the +4.5 points made a big difference for my bet to win.

All of your bets/predictions are correct. I bet on Wemby to score 24+ points and I had already lost hope by the end of the first half as Wemby had only scored 6 points. Wemby got into foul trouble which is why he ended up playing only 23 minutes in this game. The game was crucial, but in the last minute the Mavs managed to gain momentum.

Memphis ruined my parlay. I didn't know that Ja Morant would not play tonight. (Under suspension right?)
