That mistake of lebron james has a bad epact of the game which is we all know that if he didn't force that shoot then there's a chance to make a down into tie or else have a 1 position shot advantages but that mistake comes and then nuggets will have a good run and end the game with a 6 point lead advantages 132 to 126 which is pretty good start for nuggets they will win the game one and now they are leading the series.

There’s a chance but there’s no guarantee that it will tie if others make that shot. James is the most capable and reliable on crucial times since he have the most experienced and the best in the league. This is the difference when Lakers is playing against Denver that have a very good defender like Jokic. They can’t easily get an easy basket that they can do to Grizzlies and Warriors.

Imagine the points of Davis but still they didn’t beat the Nuggets badly. In normal games that Davis show that kind of explosiveness, Lakers always win the game because enemy team can’t answer from that kind of aggression yet Jokic still maintains being the playmaker and at the same time scorer.

I Denver will have a rough time if Lakers outside shooting will be the same but I doubt that they can be beaten if Jokic team mates will not choke which they almost had on last quarter.

Here is my pick.
Denver Nuggets - Los Angeles Lakers‍ - Denver Nuggets (-6.5) @1.94
Over 220.5 @1.77 Good luck everyone.
This is like good bet but home games was likely nothing right now with most of the remaining teams, so my bet was for L.A. Lakers (+7.5) @1.81 and Under 223.5 @1.85. My bad for countering your picked bet though haha, I just like how it will play since this is Conference Finals and I think defense will be the key factor now for Lakers or both team.
Then we are both 1 of 2.  Grin
The Lakers did a great job at their comeback in the 2nd half. The Nuggets could've ended it with a blowout game but they got careless defensively and let the Lakers make some short run that but the lead into as low as 3 points.
Thankfully, the Nuggets played well at the last minute of the game and secured their win. But, my spread was not covered. I thought Reaves was fouling Murray at the last possession but they didn't find the energy to whistle.  Grin

Good job for the ones who didn't get greedy and took only the -5.5 Nuggets and then over 220.5. That is sure a hit for todays match. Let's see in Game 2 on how the Lakers will adjust after that bad performance in the 1st half.
In the first half, the Nuggets' three-point shooting was very efficient, and Jokic also had a great first half. However, in the second half, the Lakers had a consistent mini-run that lasted until the fourth quarter. The Nuggets almost had a big regret, but fortunately, they made some excellent decisions down the stretch.
The Lakers should have reduced that gap to 1 or tie it but Lebron forced that three point shot, I think Reaves, Schroeder, and Davis can make that shot. I really like how they position Hachimura to defend Jokic and then let Davis double team when Jokic is forcing it on the paint. Moreover, it's a risky strategy considering how good Jokic is on making some creative passes.

The current betting spread is as follows:

Celtics: -8
Heat: +8
Total: 210.5

I'd like to share some thoughts about the game. Personally, I'm considering betting on the Heat. They have a history of surprising as underdogs, so at the moment (though I haven't made a decision yet), I'm leaning towards taking the Heat +7.5 on the spread and considering the moneyline as well. What are your thoughts?
I think +8 on Heat is a good bet considering they have the same players for the past play in and two series wherein has great contribution factors especially Vincent, Strus, Kevin Love and Lowry. We can't deny the fact that Celtics are gonna take that Finals spot once again but Heat comes surprising most of the time too. Under 210 might be a good play since I'm not expecting a high scoring game unless they start strong.

I looked at betting on the Boston Celtics to beat the Miami Heat in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but I was deterred by the odds. While I’m somewhat confident the Celtics will win game 1 at home, the risk/reward factor just didn’t merit betting. So I don’t have any skin in the game on this one, but I am expecting the Celtics to win at home.

Here's the updated Lakers vs Nuggets series odds.

You see the betting odds for the Lakers? They are quite high, offering a significant payout if they end up winning the series.

This presents another opportunity for those who have confidence in the Lakers, especially since they are only down 1 game in the series.

A good opportunity to earn if you are a Lakers believer, the odd is very sweet if you think they can still win this one.

Not a Nuggets fan here, but the winning chance is really good for them as they've got all the core and role players who are playing
all the best that they know about winning games.

We all witness that from both past series against Wolves and Suns, let see if they can continue that strong game and lead there
way to the finals.

I believe the Lakers have a chance to win the series, although we can currently say that the odds are against them. However, considering how they were able to come back from a significant deficit, it makes me think that the Lakers can give the Nuggets a tough series. Let's say the Nuggets win Game 2, but it's not over yet, as the Lakers have been dominant at home. We saw a similar scenario in the Nuggets vs Suns series, where both teams won two games on their home courts, but unfortunately, the Suns had a very bad game in Game 6, resulting in their elimination.

I'm leaning on the Nuggets -6.5 in this game, I think they will not allow the Lakers to dictate the tempo here. In the bubble the Lakers have Dwight to bother Jokic throughout the game.

But in their current lineup, they only have Davis, so definitely it's an advantage of Jokic and I think he will go all the way and body up Davis in this game and see how Davis is defending him in post with all of his moves.

You are right, no one can stop Jokic now, and it certainly wasn't Davis because he already showcased his MVP form in the first half. Jokic nearly recorded a triple-double in the first half, so it's highly likely he will deliver an outstanding performance throughout the game, potentially achieving a triple-double. Hopefully, the team will secure a victory and his performance will not go to waste.

They won, but that handicap was not able to be cover as the Lakers make a huge comeback although if Bruce Brown made that layup instead of passing to Jokic and then the Joker just 1/2 in FT, that could be coverage, ouch for those who bet on that handicap. Most likely -5.5 is a safe bet.

Anyhow, there are still a lot of games here, we can get back to winning column again.

Next game is the Celtics vs Heat so I'm leaning towards Celtics at home with -7.5.

The Lakers' offense clicked in the second half. We can't consider defense as the problem here, as we know the Nuggets aren't focused on the defensive end. They prefer to move the ball around and find the open man for shots.

In the first half, the Nuggets' three-point shooting was very efficient, and Jokic also had a great first half. Here's my predictions so far, just got lost on that Under 223.5, it was really a high scoring game for the Nuggets. Just look at that +18.5 and +15.5 handicaps, that was a juicy bet that I take risks when the Nuggets are taking over the second half. That was an intense game and I bet the Nuggets was bit pressured during that last quarter.

It would be beneficial if someone could advise Gordon to work on his free throw shooting. We wouldn't want to witness a 'hack-a-Gordon' strategy employed against him due to his struggles at the free throw line.
Well, he was a 70% FT shooter and that strategy might be good if Gordon is doing the handling but Jokic is taking over on that position most of the time and he's good on the line.

What do you think about the over/under 222.5?

I think it's easy to achieve if the game is high-scoring. If the Nuggets dictate the tempo of the game, we might see a high-scoring game.

And my prediction was correct. Hopefully, you all also bet on the over.

It was a bit nerve-wracking for Nuggets fans when the Lakers cut the lead down to just 3 points, but fortunately, the Nuggets made some crucial stops in the final minutes to secure the win. It would be beneficial if someone could advise Gordon to work on his free throw shooting. We wouldn't want to witness a 'hack-a-Gordon' strategy employed against him due to his struggles at the free throw line.

Just as predicted, Jokic finished with a triple double performance.

34 points, 14 assists, and 21 rebounds.

The Lakers are making a run in the fourth quarter, reducing the lead from as high as 20 points to just 9 points. I believe the Nuggets need to bring Jokic back onto the floor, as their offense becomes quite predictable without him. With plenty of time remaining in the fourth quarter, it's difficult to determine which team will come out on top. As they say, it's not over until it's over.
The Nuggets are responding, and you were right, Jokic is back on the floor, and their offense is now clicking. The main weapon for the Nuggets is their 3-point shooting, as they are currently shooting 50%. While the Lakers also have a high percentage in the 3-point line, the Nuggets have attempted more shots, making 13 out of 26, compared to the Lakers' 7 out of 17.

J. Murray 25+ PA / KCP 1+ steals / B. Brown 2+ rebounds @1.73   won

I think the Lakers will try to get Jokic in early foul trouble as they did in the bubble. They will go after him on defense relentlessly, attacking the paint, putting him on various PnRs, isos against Davis, and try to draw fouls on him...it's actually a solid strategy if you think about it, it worked for them back in 2020. That's why i'm having J. Murray for my parlay, he's had decent game 1s vs. Minnesota and Phoenix (24/8 and 34/9). He's covered the 25+ PA line in 9/L11 playoff games, not sure Russell or Reaves can guard him if he gets going.

KCP is currently on a 10-game streak of recording at least 1 steal. He was on that Lakers championship roster back in 2020 and had 1 steal for them in the opening game of the conference finals. I like him in this spot against his former team.

B. Brown is the Nuggets' main guy off the bench, averaging a solid 25+ minutes. Energy guy who plays defense and does all the little things for them. He has covered 2+ rebounds in each of the 11 playoff games he's played this season.

Lakers game line is down to +6.  I don't know why it's moving but my guess is everyone leaning in on Bron this series.  At home I think -6 for Denver should be easy Pickens.  If they double jokic they are in trouble.  If they leave him one of one with Davis he can get him into foul trouble and make him work too much to be effective on offense.  Think this is a quick 5 game series for Denver.  Denver in a blowout tonight 128-109

Enjoy the games people!

Over 220.5 @1.77 Good luck everyone.

My bad for countering your picked bet though haha, I just like how it will play since this is Conference Finals and I think defense will be the key factor now for Lakers or both team.
I'll go with danherbias07 because I believe that the Lakers are currently receiving a lot of hype, and bettors will certainly take the handicap. Since this is the first game, the home team might start strong while the Lakers struggle to make adjustments. Therefore, I think the Nuggets might win game 1 in a blowout, and game 2 will be a close contest.
Hmmm that's understandable and I understand your view as well and Jokic is dominant almost every game, he either got double-double or a triple-double. My take was that a handicap at +7.5 for Lakers is a good choice considering I'm expecting it will be a close game, at least on my view, I could be wrong too.

That's a decent choice instead of grabbing the ML. We never know what might happen in this game, everything is just unpredictable in this phase.
As for me, I'd like to start this series with an adventure on my side so I will be taking the Los Angeles Lakers ML @ 3.05 vs Denver Nuggets.

Honestly, I'm not really sure on this bet because Jokic can be pretty hard to solve but I'm taking this chance because there is a slight chance that Jamal Murray might not play later because of an undisclosed illness but the league insured that this illness is not Covid related.

That is quite one of a risky bet you got there my friend and somehow I'm enticed of the juicy money line because it is really not that too far to consider that we can see the whole roster of the Lakers winning in this game mainly with a healthy AD and LBJ. Jokic on the other hand and the rest will have the advantage because the first two games will happen on their soil and aside from that, Jokic has been impressive since the first round and if that goes on, the Lakers will definitely have a hard time defending their paint.

Personally, I will be taking the bet once I figure out for fact about Jamal Murray's situation because currently, he is listed questionable for the game.
