And as expected by everyone, the Nuggets takes game 1 very easy if I may say that. And as I have said in my prediction, it's a blow out win, double digit lead advantage. Aaron Gordon was the X-factor in this first game and it seems he is enjoying the matchup whether defense or offense that the Heat is putting up on him. The last time the Nuggets lost, it takes a combine Booker and Durant to have a perfect night and beat them. I don't see anyone on Heat's caliber though, although it might take like Butler and Bam to really contribute big in their offense to offset the Nuggets in this series.

Butler and Bam were trying to lift the team, but it was the off-night shooting performances of the rest of the team.

they've been outscored by the Nuggets, that tight defense really bring that big impact to the outcome of the game, Nuggets fans
surely enjoy what they've seen from all the players who step inside the court. They provide what the team needs and give enough
rest for the core players and continue that great performances.

As far as I can tell about what happened in Game 1, only Bam have tried to lift the team because I don't know what happened with Butler. He seems to be tired about the recent series they've finished because instead of being the one who always try to penetrate the paint, I didn't see that much of Butler and his stats are actually much lower compared to his last 10 games. Fatigue might be a factor but who knows.

Decision-wise, the Denver Nuggets indeed got more chances to win in the first game hence why their odds is that low compared to the Heat. Even the bookies know the real chances of the Heat and it is not that great after all, that is why they are giving a tempting odds of 4.00

That said, I think I will just go under for now because the odds is somehow profitable for me while the chances is also good as I think it will be a close game with both teams on defensive mode. I'd be putting for the Denver but that 1.27 is not that much for me.

Regarding about Tyler Herro, his status has been changed because he is now likely to return in Game 2. We'll be seeing that one for sure.

And the Denver Nuggets won game 1 indeed it was a tight one but the lead stayed with the Nuggets from the beginning to the end of the game the Miami Heat is scoring the paint because of Bam Adebayo, if you have gone with the Nuggets I think you also got the win from them,

And regarding Tyler Hero, he will be available on game 2 because his expected return from the Miami Heat is June 4, so he can now play game 2 we got 2 days rest going towards game 2 then another 2 days rest going into game 3 I think this is a great opportunity for the Miami Heat to rest,

here is the result of my pick for today's game

Denver Nuggets VS Miami Heat SCORE 104 - 93 - WIN

From start to finish the Denver Nuggets' advantage was very viewable for this game Jimmy Butler defended and stop his points with just 13, points while Bam Adebayo and Gabe Vincent did a great job but surely it was not enough, Aaron Gordon got 16 points, Jamal Murray has a double-double of 10 assist and 26 points, and Nikola Jokic has a triple-double of 10 rebounds 14 assist 27 points for this game, the Miami Heat needs to prevent this winning of the Nuggets or else this will be crucial for them to take that deficit like the Boston Celtics did,

That royal duo is the worst thing for Miami because they need to guard outside and inside the basket in short they must have a good defender from inner cause once Jokic has the ball he can totally make a points in an easy way because there's not enough guard from the inner. And if we talk about outside shot then jamal murray can handle it and he can make a good shot.
If in game 2 Miami can't find the answer on how they will defend murray and jokic then for sure loss are weaving.

Denver Nuggets easily won this match. Miami focus on Jokic in first half and he just had some crazy passes and was already up 10 assists just in first two quarters. In game 2 im expecting a little closer game but still a win for the Nuggets. This duo is so deadly once their both are hot its o most game over for everyteam.

Don't bet on basketball that often, but since this time it's the final it wouldn't be wrong to try a bet, just one bet on Jokic over 23.5 odds @1.89. It looks like that won't happen because until Q3 he still scored quite a few points, but in Q4 he was able to score more points and even became the top point scorer for his team in this first game. I think game two will still be a bet on him coming back and in game two the Nuggets are going to dominate the game again unless the Heat makes a significant change.

Those were actually good numbers.  I might throw a rebounding prop on jokic next game.  Odds aren't good enough to bet Denver and the over/under will be a mystery this whole series.  Jokic touch rare is so high that it's almost a given he will either hit his props on pts, rbs assists or a combination of all of them.  I missed with the over last night.

Yeah, so congratulations to the bettors who took the risk at -10.5. Nice catch there.
Aaron Gordon was damn aggressive in the first half, I guess he want that championship so bad because he had been in the league for a long time but now he is on a team that could possibly take in just 3 more games to win.
Jamal Murray was also phenomenal as most of his perimeter shots are going in. That's the Jamal we missed for 2 years after that knee injury.
Miami Heat on the other hand found their offense thru Highsmith but Butler really needs to come out if they want to win games on the road, I almost mistakenly assumed that he was injured because I cannot feel his presence.

Anyway, 1/2 for my single bets but I am happier with this bet builder that I won.

Here are the updated series betting odds after the Nuggets won the first game, considering the moneyline only:

Heat: +500
Nuggets: -714

These odds reflect how the public initially perceived this series as a complete mismatch, as evident from the significant disparity. The first game seemed to confirm that belief. However, I would like to challenge the bettors. If you truly believe it's a complete mismatch, would you be confident enough to bet on the Nuggets sweeping the Heat in the series?

After waiting for the line up, I settled for a 3-players props parlay, Caleb Martin Over 14.5 Points + Kyle Lowry Over 3.5 Assists and Nikola Jokic Over 13.5 Rebounds at 7.08

https://prnt.sc/59jQsViFaZKW

Caleb Martin have been red hot for the Heat from their conference and I expect the confidence shouldn't drop tonight, Kyle Lowry off the bench have been very inspirational for Heat too and his experience in the finals would need for Heat here, 4 dimes shouldn't be more off an issue, Jokic have been very dominated off the board in the playoffs and if Miami Heat have let guys like Tatum afford double digits rebound almost all the 7 games of the conference finals, 14 board should be an easy reach for the Joker.

GL everyone.

Good luck! Caleb Martin needs to produce in the second half since he was scoreless in the first half. It's possible that the defense was focused on him, which is why he wasn't able to be productive. Let's see what kind of adjustments Miami will make in the second half after being down by 17 points.

Martin has only scored 3 points now, and it seems unlikely that the bet will win. The Denver Nuggets have been in control of the game, despite it being low-scoring. They have a significant lead. We're now in the 4th quarter, so it's highly unlikely that the Heat will be able to stage a comeback. They might even be fortunate if they manage to cover the spread. Additionally, for those who bet on over 219, this game will be disappointing as it's turning out to be under.

N. Jokic 1+ 3pt / KCP 1+ 3pt / M. Strus 1+ 3pt / C. Martin 1+ 3pt @2.00  X

I think Miami will give Jokic the 3 ball all game long, and make it tough for him to score inside. Jokic might not be the best 3pt shooter, but he's shown he will knock those down if they leave him open. He is averaging 1.8 3s on .47% shooting in the postseason which is not too bad.

KCP has at least one three-pointer in 12/L15 postseason games, including 7/8 at home. He'll get decent looks, and i'm confident he'll get one.

One of the key points of emphasis for Miami on offense is to have Jimmy and Bam ultra-aggressive and attack the basket while putting Jokic in on as many PnRs and ISOs as they can. Martin and Strus should benefit off of that, getting open looks from deep. Strus has 1+ 3pt made in 17/L18 games, while C. Martin is 16/L18. We might see some slight regression in Martin's numbers from the Celtics series but nothing too crazy.   #Let it Fly  Cheesy

Denver Nuggets VS Miami Heat

The stake odds for this game are 1.27 for the Nuggets and 4.00 for the Heat, Right now Collin Gillespie is out of the season, for the Nuggets while Tyler Herro has a hand injury and can not play for the Heat, and  Victor Oladipo has a knee and is out for the season, rather than that injuries there are no pertaining injuries on both parties, but for me, the Nuggets has the most advantage in this game and Miami Heat will be needing Kevin Love for the Offensive and defensive rebounding, but for this game I will be going with the Denver Nuggets,

Decision-wise, the Denver Nuggets indeed got more chances to win in the first game hence why their odds is that low compared to the Heat. Even the bookies know the real chances of the Heat and it is not that great after all, that is why they are giving a tempting odds of 4.00

Regarding about Tyler Herro, his status has been changed because he is now likely to return in Game 2. We'll be seeing that one for sure.

They are trying to bait people into it.  Denver is well rested and will come out firing in this one.  The only thing I'm debating is the over and under results.  Miami has played a slow game all playoffs but I think they will need to adjust to Denver game.  I got this one 122-109 hitting the over on game 1.

Enjoy the game and good luck everyone!

Man, I probably agree with you on this one, but it is so hard for me to bet a spread when it's this far apart.  I am in full belief that the Nuggets will win this game, I just can't figure out by how much. I could see it being a pretty big blow out, kinda like your score indicates, but I could also see the Miami Heat shocking everyone as they have all playoffs long.

Hour and a half to decide how to bet this..

Speaking of my bet, here's mine.
Miami Heat -8.5 @ 2.01 + ML @ 4.2 vs Denver Nuggets
Just to avoid confusion I think the "-" is a "+" @2.01. Maybe @mirakal just made a mistake.  Wink

I still can't believe Nuggets are given those odds. I get it, they have the likely chance to win, I am not expecting Heat to win neither, but that's too little, we should be seeing something more like 1.70 at least, and 3.00 for Heat instead of 4, this one just doesn't take Heat seriously.
A lot of basketball have repeatedly said this during the postseason, Miami Heat is underrated in the whole playoffs. They cannot gain that trust from the viewers and gamblers so I think giving them a high handicap is a bonus for those who will risk it for them especially the Heat fans.

Thanks @wheelz1200.
Usually, the first games are like observing each other and there's a chance they might not play as hard as they did defensively in their last series, yet. Game 2 will be the toughest fight. I hope Jokic and the crew didn't rust their bearings and will showcase how strong they are offensively in Game 1 later so we could hit the overs.  Cheesy
I think Bam will make a lot of mistakes today by not moving up when Jokic makes a high post or a screen, he should not leave the Joker there. 40 percent at the three-point line is a scary number.

These are the odds for a first seeder meeting 8th seeder during first round, not during finals. Nuggets is a great team but Heat made it to finals, it should not be really this much difference between two teams facing during finals. It is going to be boring game if the game ends as the odds expect, I would expect like 20 point difference to make this legit, then I would understand why the odds were like this, but it would also be a quite boring game for sure.
