Gotta lean in on golden state next game in my eyes.  At home I dont think golden state wants to lose out twice.  Think they will come out muchore focused for all 4 quarters.  Curry proved the defense situation won't affect him, he just needs to play the same way he did in the first q/half.  Taking the money line next game.

I've got the Overs 211.5 @ 1.75, I think game 1 will be a high scoring one with both teams still trying to figure things out, and before the necessary adjustments would be made by respective coaches in the succeeding games, and moreover I think the Celtics vs Heat series saw some games go Under because of how awful the Miami Heat's offense was during the game, and I don't think the Warriors offense would ever go that cold due to the number of great shot makers on the roster.

it looks best pick among all others

Perhaps, I was only lucky. I didn't anticipate the Warriors loss either but I just find the Over more valuable and more probable, luckily it turned out I was right after all.

I like the Warriors spread at -3.5 but i'll go with a safer pick and take advantage of Stake's promo with the Warriors to win @1.60 hoping they'll get at least 12 points or more since the leads can easily go out of hand between these two teams. I just hope the Warriors don't start slow as the Celtics usually take advantage of building early leads.

Took the same bet and just like the others I expected that they would win earlier because it's very unlikely that the Warriors would lose at home in Game 1, I was so relaxed that the Warriors is doing good in the first half and Tatum looks like he's not on his usual rhythm. But when the 4th quarter came, the Celtics suddenly clutched especially Horford who made consecutive threes.

Steve Kerr played himself, Curry had 3 early fouls and had sat out for a while, there was no reason not to start the 4th Quarter with them, he underestimated the Celtics and duly paid the price for that.

Yeah, something like that. Or the Celtics steal one at Chaste Center, win both at TD Garden, and end it at Chaste. Ouch! Just kidding.  Cheesy
I just took it while the profit was fat. Because once GSW won one game that may change substantially downward. It's just a prediction and I am not saying it will happen accurately as the Celtics are not to be underestimated.

That's still possible, however, I would trust the record of the Warriors in the finals appearance, they have more wins than losses and the last time I remember they lose in the Finals was against the Cavaliers in game 7, so no way they'll be lose by 4-1 record.

Nope, their last Finals appearance was the NBA Finals of 2019 where they got a 2-4 record against the heavy line-up of the Toronto Raptors. Surely that line-up gave the Warriors a hard time especially Stephen Curry as he was against Kawhi Leonard.

Back to the topic, the chances of the Celtics and Warriors are just equal. That example against the Raptors was a perfect example because the Warriors is the back to back champion that time and have so much experience in the playoffs and Finals but they are still vulnerable and got defeated.

I think golden state took that finals for granted.  You might see a steph you have never seen before.  They have to know eventually all runs end this could be their last go around.  I expect to see steph gold tonight.  Taking them and giving the points tonight.  Just gonna cross my fingers taytum doesn't go out and have one of them game wrecking nights where he is unstoppable.
They didn't anticipated what happened back then because Thompson and Durant was injured while Curry and Green was left on the floor doing all the works for the team. Curry attempted to carry the Warriors all the way but the Raptors ate them alive and grabbed the opportunity that they're undermanned.

Just gonna cross my fingers taytum doesn't go out and have one of them game wrecking nights where he is unstoppable.
Jayson Tatum didn't but Al Horford did Cheesy

The reality is that the Boston Celtics are more of a team in the physical section than the Golde State and part of that comeback could also be due to that.

Likewise, Golden State never imagined a comeback of that style and they almost never suffer it because as soon as a team starts to come back they start hitting triples that automatically destroy the little remaining morale

I hope not everyone is on the Warriors, it's seemed like the public are all over the Warriors, I'm afraid the refs will fix it so the Celtics will cover the spread. Although I think of that possibility already, I can't trust the Celtics to cover specially if the Warriors are dominating the game. I'm not so confident so I'll just put a little bet on the Warriors spread in game 1.

And you are having doubts yourself if the Boston Celtics can cover up the spread on this game if the Golden State Warriors are doing the same, like I said I am pretty confident right now in saying that the Warriors will be champion this season, after what they did to the Memphis Grizzlies, after their lost from underestimating the Grizzlies because Ja Morant was injured, they have changed their approach and dominate the game I think they can do it aswell with the Celtics, and on the Dallas Maverick's game that made the Phoenix Suns the rank 1 in the Western Conference have ended their run with a 4 - 3 Lead was nearly sweep by the Warriors I think this is a no brainer that the Warriors will heavily favored in the 1st game,

That's my worry, everyone was betting on the Warriors, so the outcome is the oppsite. Warriors does not even won the 1st half, they had a big 3rd quarter run to lead by double digit going to the 4th quarter, but their lack of defense in the 4th quarter gave way to the Celtics' big run of their own.

Steph Curry cannot believe it. They will definitely watch the tape of this game and see to it that mistakes like that won't happen again, especially in the last quarter of the game. The Celtics were outnumbered and as Magic said during the half, exhaustion will be a trouble for them. But it didn't, thanks to Horford stepping up his game big time. They found hope in other players while Tatum was shut down and that's a good display of teamwork.
Marcus Smart gave way to the hot players and didn't go in for 7-8 minutes, iirc.

Winding down.

^^ Yeah, it's very unexpected that the Warriors are going to lost game 1 at their homecourt. They started good at the first quarter and some at the start of the second, but they can't sustain as the Celtics took a 2 point lead at the halftime. And I said that this doesn't look good for the Warriors. So I was not able to watch the second half and when I look at the score, there is it, not sure what happen to the 2nd half, but I will say it was an upset.

Why should be unexpected ? I mean , GSW had fragile games since now and also played weaker teams than Celtic did so it's kinda normal for GSW to not have the same pace , aggression and desire like Celtic because they haven't been properly tested until last night. I also hope that game 2 will look better for GSW but at the end of the day , Celtics deserve to win this year...because they faced and eliminate much more stronger opponents than GSW did.

It's not unexpected, though the Warriors lost game 1 on their home court, but it's not yet over. This series is a best of 7 series, and home court now does not matter a lot, anyone can win at their home court, so let's see how the Warriors would respond in game 2 as for sure they will make an adjustment to even the series before going to Boston.

Here is the result for today's game and it is not really good actually

Golden State Warriors VS Boston Celtics (Celtics Lead 0 - 1) - LOST

It's a total Bummer that the crowd favorite lost on their home turf, and right now I am really surprised at what happened, the Golden State Warriors is playing a dominating game at the Beginning but a sudden comeback for the Celtics in the 4th quarter, I was really shocked because I really thought that the Golden State Warriors could win this, Klay Thompson Does 15 points, Andrew Wiggins has 20 points while Stephen Curry got 34 points, clearly it is not enough because the Celtics mostly have 2 digit scores, from Jayson Tatum's double-double of 13 assists, and 12 points, Marcus Smart's has 18 points Derrick White has 21 points, Jaylen Brown got 24 points and Al Horford had 26 points solidifying the 1st win on game 1 while the Warriors is on home-court advantage, This goes to show that they can not underestimate the Boston Celtics and surely the team with a great defense prevail,

I'm really excited about the Finals, i slightly favor Boston in this matchup due to their individual defense and athleticism, but Golden State has home-court advantage, so yeah...that even things up, should be a 6-7 game series. In terms of betting on Game 1, i went with two props, one for each team:

A. Wiggins 15+ PR / S. Curry 4+ assists / D. Green 1+ blocks @2.03X

Looking at A. Wiggins' playoff numbers thus far, all i see is consistency. He's averaging 16 and 7 in those 16 games. Curry is averaging just over 6 assists per game in the playoffs and nearly 10/L3. The Celtics may decide to take away his 3s, resulting in simple dump passes to Looney/or whoever. Green is averaging roughly one block per game in the playoffs, with at least one in each game 1s (vs. Den, Mem, and Dal).

J. Brown 20+ PR / M. Smart 3+ rebounds / J. Tatum 35+ PRA @1.72X

Brown has 20+ PR in 17 of 18 postseason games and had an excellent game the last time these two teams met in March. Celtics pushed the pace early and often in game 7 against Miami, and it started on several occasions with Smart picking up the rebound and running down the floor. He's had 3 or more rebounds in 7/L8. As for J. Tatum, he is averaging 40+ PRA throughout the playoffs and has played really well in the last couple of games.

I'm also riding on the Warriors bandwagon, at least this game. I still want to see Jayson Tatum's performance against the defense of Wiggins. This is again a good match up for Wiggs specially on how he work out defensively and offensively Luka Doncic.

So like the majority of you, I will be betting on the handicap at -3.5. If the Warriors pull a big lead on the first half, it will be hard for the Celtics to do a catchup. But if it's close, then Steph will bring need to bring his shooting again.

So it's game 1 tomorrow night, for sure many are going to ride on the Warriors side because they have the tools to win the championship again.-3.5 is the opening line for them, but I a guess putting a bet higher for a better odds might not heard us.

So I'm going with the -4.5, current odds: 1.98.

Best of luck to all bettors,  Smiley

Definitely many are going with the Warriors after what they did to Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks and they ended their conference finals with a near sweep, definitely, Bookies will highly favor the Golden State Warriors, and they are highly the favorite to win in this game, and I am pretty much excited about the match, actually.

I hope so. Be strict. Sometimes they are surprised and blow their whistles whenever a player shouts for a foul. That should be avoided and I think they did during the Miami Heat vs Celtics game. There's one time when Marcus Smart did an obvious flop and thank goodness the refs didn't bite it.  Cheesy

Will be betting for Golden State Warriors for Game 1 @-4.5. I don't really like the spreads but it's the homecourt advantage so I guess we have to just accept it.

One thing I noticed though, maybe it's just me, is that the referee are not calling fouls against the Warriors. We've seen this in the Memphis and then the Mavs series. But it seems that the Warriors, specially Steph, take this personally against the referee and then exploded for 30+ per game to take the win and now they are in the finals. Just telling to look for those fouls that are not going to be called let's see if Curry drives and then there is a obvious foul but the ref are not going to blow their whistle. Warriors at -3.5.

I'm following. Just 211.5. I don't want to go greedy in the first game of the Finals. Let's also try to figure out the scoring capability of both teams in this kind of match.
Who wouldn't love that play, right? The game was too intense and I'm sure that even the referees are enjoying the game too. I just hope that we can see some fair and square referees again this upcoming Finals, we already have a good teams playing with different capabilities and we cannot afford to see some refs to give unjust calls.

That is what I wanted to see, why call a foul if it's clear that there's nothing happened or the opposite player didn't mean to bump the opposite player. Also, it was an intense game and the referees cannot afford to call if ever it was a flop. Both teams have defended well but it's the Celtics who have those advantages, in-fact, the Celtics missed many important shots especially Marcus Smart. Luckily, he have a team mate who he can rely unlike the Heat that Jimmy Butler is the one who is carry and Bam, the others were not consistent.
Correct, refs got stricter and avoided soft calls, I loved it too. No one stepped up their game for the Heat except Butler who had been doing it at every win they make. Perhaps he will have the mindset to pass that ball if he saw someone going hot in the three or just having a good night, but none. Almost every player on their side is missing important shots too. Free shots, actually.
