v22.3 released.

Improve Grin31 performance on 1080ti & 2080ti.

that was fast, 2 releases in hours!
will give a try 1080ti grin31 and 1070 win10 8 gb grin29 this evening

1080ti, grin31 => no visible impact (@70% power)
1070 8 gb win 10 => out of memory on grin 31, no visible impact on grin29

Oops, forgot to mention.

v22.3's improve for Grin31 requires available GPU memory over 10GB, so it may not be any improvement for 1080ti on win10, because of the extra memory occupation by system.

Win 10, gtx 1080ti x 6, Grin31, TDP 71%
NBMiner v21.3 - 7,4;
NBMiner v21.4 - 7,2.

Yes, I also found that v21.3 is faster, but on RTX 2080Ti - 2.12g/s for 21.3 vs 1.95g/s for 21.4 on cuckatoo at 85% TDP.

Try new version on windows.
Win 10 driver 419.35, gtx 1080ti, Grin31, TDP 80%
NBMiner v21.3 - 1.40
NBMiner v21.4 - 1.45
NBMiner v22.1 - 1.45 (or 1.38 @70% TDP)

Win 10 driver 419.35, gtx 1070, Grin29, TDP 80%
NBMiner v22.1 - 5.00 (4.7 with latest BMiner)  (or v22.1 4.67 @65% TDP)
Grin31 out of memory (is very close to run...)

thanks

Any chance you can add support for SWAP (cuckaroo29s)
Only real option is gminer at this point and would prefer not to use them for multiple reasons

Sure, considering add swap support in next version.

Any detailed information for the difference between SWAP and Grin?

Basicaly only cycle length and nonce length differences.

Grin   Cuckaroo29  -> Cycle length: 42 bits / Nonce lenght: 8 bytes
Swap Cuckaroo29s -> Cycle length: 32 bits / Nonce lenght: 4 bytes

For the share verification, the cycle needs to be packed according to the reduced length.

i have mixed rig with 1080ti 11gb + 1080 8gb and 21.3 will not work here, got error out of memory for 1080. Have to disable 1080 for nbminer and use bminer for 1080. Is there any way to make 1080 work with nbminer too? Prefer to use just one miner for all my cards and in one session. OS is windows 8.1. Thanks.
Win 7 and Unix will work as they do not spend memory of GPU as win 8 & 10 do.

Can anyone help me? I have the error "... check pool name" for Grin 31 f2pool. I have tried stratum and w/o but failed. Bminer and Gminer work fine.

Mining Grin on f2pool needs to add an arbitrary password at the end of username (f2pool requires that, don't know the reason).

You can find the sample usage in readme:

Grin31
sparkpool:  nbminer -a cuckatoo -o stratum+tcp://grin.sparkpool.com:66667-u [email protected]/worker
f2pool:        nbminer -a cuckatoo -o stratum+tcp://grin31.f2pool.com:13654 -u username.worker:passwd
nicehash:    nbminer -a cuckatoo -o stratum+tcp://grincuckaroo31.eu.nicehash.com:3372 -u btc_address.worker
Thanks
