As you mentioned, marketing is an art and therefore you need to hire a specialized person to achieve success, just as if you were looking for qualified developers or an integrated team.
Think of it as the sides of a triangle. If it's not perfect, you won't be able to succeed.

We cannot give you ideas because marketing means spending money and of course spending money means a short-term and long-term strategy that needs proper planning, the tips we will give you will not be ideal for developing such strategies.

Nothing is impossible or beyond in marketing. Therefore, any way to make profits is possible and acceptable.
Remember: you will not be successful in marketing without money unless it is something unique that will change the world or solve a real problem.

Bounty campaign is not recommended either.

You can go for the signature campaigns in this forum. They are being run by many businesses in this forum specially casinos, marketplaces and exchanges. Since the majority of bitcoin users visit this forum, you project gets a chance to be viewed by these people.

For social media recognition, depending on what your product is, get a social media manager and allow them to help grow your networks. For the start try to give updates through social media as a way to gain followership there.

promotion needs to be adjusted as well depending on the project type. if you are going to attract potential users with some gifts or bounties, why not.

bounty campaigns are certainly not worth as much as they are promised campaign budget. yet they make some kind of noise about the project. although one quality influencer can contribute much more than 3k "hunters accounts" participants in a bounty program.
they are mostly promised large quantities of tokens from the project which are worth nothing at the moment of entry. so there is no painful investment for owners in the bad promotion.

I think this will change your opinion about the bounty campaign here when you find out the stats you have upon advertising through the ads space in the forum.

It's not very sure of the social media marketing today, the investors are not lurking there. You're going to see more results in advertising on the concentrated community or forums of people that are surely interested in investing, trading, and cryptocurrencies.

What is it that you want to advertise though? Assuming that it's a service/platform that people would actually want to use:

- Ads: You could buy some slots from reputable sites. Not necessarily something as big as CMC or Coingecko, a smaller site like Etherscan should cost you about 1500$ a week or so.
- BitcoinPRBuzz.com: It's good to gain some exposure on sites with a lot of readers (would cost you about the same as the above).
- Referral system: This would encourage your users to advertise the service.
- Renting avatars and personal texts: I realize that bounty campaigns (social media and signatures) could cost a lot, so this could be a good and cheaper alternative.
