as the governments and central banks kinda hate Bitcoin, I dont think it will be easy.
What if people convince governments of their nations to make Bitcoin as a legal currency or what if we agree to give tax on our bitcoin income? Will government then make Bitcoin a legal currency.
Just take ETF on SEC on this matter, those people are pushing hard ETF yet SEC is just denying their application for the second time as they see bitcoin unfit and unjust.
So what you're proposing isn't a joke and this is a serious matter that need a lot of talking. And besides, we can still use bitcoin as a payment even it isn't a legal currency and as long as we use it the way it should be it will be fine, anyway. In fact, this whole ETF thing is just a show up so whales can easily manipulate the price.
I don't know what will other government do but I'm quite sure that the government of my country will definitely do that if all the or most of the people want it.
I think negotiations with the government will be very difficult to find a meeting point because the current condition of bitcoin prices is still not stable so that it will be very sulti to get legality.

One thing that I am very sure is that if the government legalizes bitcoin and most types of cryptocurrencies, they will surely place a tax on it. In my opinion, I think this is not good because most people in the world of crypto will suddenly lose interest because of the significant decrease of their profits.

I have read tons of comments about this topic, and they have their own opinions and of course there are pros and cons. well, however the government's decision to legalize bitcoin will certainly bring change to crypto and I cannot speculate whether it is good or bad development, just follow the path and enjoy crypto on my own way. We should set a case to the state, how to utilize bitcoin and clarify every one of the advantages if bitcoin is authorized with the goal that the legislature can pick up learning about the advantages and inconveniences of bitcoin. While it is a good suggestion but if we look at the big picture so we can say that people can not force governments to make things but like if the government is fore sighting the world then they can make some policies which is in the favor of bitcoin like if the government allow crypto freely in the country so the price and usage will also rise.
in my opinion it's not as easy as you think, there are many factors that cause the government to ban bitcoin, one of which is because bitcoin can be used as a tool for crimes such as money laundering and many other factors, but does not close the possibility that bitcoin in the future will be legalized in all a country with a flourishing technology world in the future.

Its not the matter of tax alone but a lot of other things.
One thing i can think of right now is that if a lot of people can get rich out of bitcoin, no one is going to work and the nation will lack workforce which will then influence the economy and everything else that depend on it.

I think that's a good idea in other country but on our country maybe it's a good because in our country corruption is the number one main problem in our government, maybe when bitcoin is over control with our government there will be a corruption too in the tax that will be given, base on what am I seeing nowadays tax is their reason why they have to put the prices of our daily needs, so when bitcoin have a tax in our country there will be no fair for those people who is using bitcoin and investors.
I think for my country, bitcoin is impossible to become a legal currency because the laws in my country oblige to use domestic currency in daily life.
I believe that part of the income from cryptocurrencies already pay taxes, because when you move to a conventional bank account, you see a new income. On the other hand I think that the issue of acceptance is going well, the more people use cryptocurrencies, the pressure will be enormous.

I think it is a yes. What government aims is to regulate whatever it is that affects its nation's welfare and being. I guess it is okay if it can be access by the government though I hope they will not use it for their own good. What bitcoin should do as of now is to make sure to continuously stabilize and grow. Also, it must avoid issues that can affect its name. Aiming to be accepted by the government and every country worldwide is what I also look forward for bitcoin.
I know it will not that easy to convince government to accept crypto currency in the country.But still it is a very good move to try negotiating government into legalization on cryptocurrencies.
