If NEM is ever ported to C, these $20 boards can be used for forging/securing the NEM network.

I think there is nothing bad people offer money for NEM stakes, it's "crypto-gold-rush" time, nothing we can do with it.
NXT,NEM, other coins - are alpha/beta versions, when we get something REALLY usefull, something REALLY stable and POWERFUL, something PERFECT, something that you CAN NOT EXCHANGE to USD or BTC, new crypto-currency era (i think it will be in 5 years).. Now it IS time to create and sell , crypto-currency marketing, cryptos are 'eating' fiat money, they are doing great job ! when all USD converts to 'sexcoin dogecoin saturncoin' etc, some time after 'XXXcoins' converts back to BTC/, and it will really rise 10000USD/1 BTC, because bread will cost 10 USD, it's time to understand that USA not the CENTER OF OUR PLANET.
History makes spiral moves, next Capital of Earth is not what we are expecting for..

I am selling my NEM stake for BTC5.

This equates to 0.00000375 BTC per NEM. This is 21 times smaller than the current NXT price.

PM me if you're interested.

I am selling mine for BTC4
PM me if you're interested.  Grin

I'm offering 3.5 BTC for a stake

As this is a moderated thread, why aren't these post deleted already?

wow so eager to sell stakes. Wtf ?!
If this is what we can look forward to when NEM hit's an exchange then good night.

You're naive if you think that all the stakeholders here are going to work on NEM to create a better world.

Ofcourse there will be people selling their stake at the beginning. It's not that bad you know. They will distribute the coins so you don't have to do it.  Wink

Fine by me. I'll buy them up, distribute a portion to the development of the coin and keep the rest.

I've already got in mind how much of my own stake i intend to "donate" to community efforts and development. Better this way long term if everyone thought along the same way.

I fail to see how that's a bad thing?

People want to sell their NEM stakes = NEM already has a value. If there is a lot of selling on an exchange then it means the distribution will increase even more.

Hoarding coins for as long as possible isn't intrinsically good, and selling coins as fast as possible isn't intrinsically bad. It's just market movement. Besides, isn't PoI being developed for NEM specifically to encourage spending/selling NEM?

POI is supposed to give incentive to use NEM regularly. Dumping a fuckload once will prob not be considered important to the network.
I didn't actually state that it was bad (won't say it's good either) just that I was suprised to see it already.

Easy to take a dim view on this and how the philosophy of NEM, UP and others can be overturned. I believe this is a very small minority, the stakeholders are several thousand in total and these early "offers" are less than a dozen. Wait until the community has something to get behind for the masses that aren't developers and then we'll see if NEM is different.

But it shows the beginning of dumping down a coin. I hate people do that. "I bet 6BTC, so let's sell it for 4,3,2,1,etc". What is this???
Everybody ruins the business of each other and in the end, the business of the whole community together with his own.
- Instead of being proud(!!!), to be a part of such an active collective and keeping the price up. That's one of the many reasons why I hate people and with them our whole elbow-society.

EDIT:

Luckily I'm not Utopianfuture, I would kick them all out of their stake!

Yeah I wasn't really naiv in that regard. I was naiv thinking that people would be smart enough to wait a little longer Wink
Even if expected it upsets me a little to see it so early.
