We're forming a SWARM team devoted to the promotion of NEM. We're looking members who are willing to do commenting and upvoting/liking articles, posts, videos etc. in order to promote NEM.

All interested, please send me email to the address [email protected] or PM with your email address and I'll list you!

For the record the SWARM team is not yet active, since there is no coin launched. We're forming the team now, so that we'll have it ready when the need comes.

I am not Dorian Nakamoto.
I have to say I like the DGEX platform, and think their involvement helped NXT massively.

Says the puppet account.

I know Graviton/dgex isn't popular, but I've never had a single issue with his exchange. And they were the only game in town for some time.

The whole Graviton censorship/forum BS, I can't speak to that because I don't use the other forums. Maybe he's a vindictive prick, maybe he's being treated unfairly.

dgex itself? Looks like ass, but it works.

It works... barely. Lets not get started with the sketchy behaviour. And with all the money that has been made, no improvements were made to the exchange except a clean up of the front page to entice more suckers. Now he's sold a bunch of worthless shares for an exchange that gets zero investment put back into it. People are just begging to have their money taken. Is that really the image you want to give NEM? And I see poloniex being mentioned. With their recent track record of being hacked and massive fee hikes to "cover the loss", which actually is nonsense as you can't magically create btc by redistributing fees. You need new depositors. Starting to sound like a ponzi to anyone else? Is that what we'd like this community exposed to?

Its fly-by-night ripoff amateur hour in the exchange scene right now. They're popping up just long enough to swindle funds or prove incompetence before disappearing. There might not be any envy in this movement, but you'll likely end up with at least an angry mob or two.

Be smart and make an exchange built, owned and run by the community. This IS supposed to be the start of something different, isn't it?
.

I agree that DGEX looks sketchy.

Does any of NEM stakeholders want to run an exchange ? (and have some experiences doing so). I know Tristan (Busoni) of Poloniex,  is one of our early stakeholder, Gravitons is as well but how about we are making a fresh one ?

+1 for making another exchange
I would not limit to one exchange only from beginning as this could result in monopoly and high fees
is better to have few exchanges from the start or if this is not the case then
it would be better to have one run by the community and not by a single entity
because it could jeopardize the NEM widespread adoption.

Some of us have been in discussion for sometimes. We could run it as a collective.

Could we make a P2P exchange on the asset market? Or do you want a fiat exchange?

I think the goal is to have a fiat exchange for NEM. That should allow it to have a valuation that is more independent of Bitcoin.

Why don't we do something like this for NEM?
http://www.coindesk.com/tinkercoin-sell-20-bitcoin-only-once/

This way it will be easy to legally set up exchanges for any currency.

That's a good idea. You should add it to the promotion board.

Why should it be more than the NXT starting price(ie priced the way NXT was back in late Nov-early Dec)? That's a HUGE markup especially if you got in during the "Interested" phase.

The NXT starting price after release was 1M NXT = 1BTC or 0.000001 BTC per NXT.(with about 3B less supply)

Also in regards to DGEX, never had a problem with the exchange other than them going by European time(they usually did all the widthdrawals and deposits when I slept). The exchange looks dated, but it has worked well. Also Graviton removed the NXT withdrawal fees and lowered down the BTC fees to compete with other exchanges.

I don't want to get into a discussion about what the market cap of NEM should be. It's way too early. Maybe it should be greater than NXT or maybe it should be less. It really comes down to how much value people attribute to it. I do want to stress one point: NEM != NXT Smiley.

Will some of the money raised be used to make professional information videos or infographics?

I think the hope is that the community will try to make things like this. I have video editing experience, but not much time.

I was thinking of starting an exchange at some point. I just haven't had the time to work on something like that, though.
