I am not sure if people are indeed serious about new economic order/replacing bitcoin and stuff. Its like reading dogecoin holders predicting 1doge=1$ "soon". In my opinion the chances of nem ever evolving past 2nd tier altcoin are pretty slim.

Nobody knows about the LTC, alts or colored coins so no matter what you got to mention btc and security. I'll be sending out tweets to ppl I know but these people have no clue about anything crypto but BTC and how people get robbed on it.

I've also answered him on PM many times. The first payout will be on 4/19 at the earliest, so he should just wait until he gets a firm answer, like I said in multiple PMs already.
I've been busy setting up extended redemption and contacting all the applicable people. I think most or all of the current sock appeals will be processed in time for the first payout, which will probably be around 4/19. Funds are all in multisig, so we need to schedule payouts.
Transactions fees are deducted from the stakes, of course, for late receivers and socks. Sorry for the inconvenience, but this should be taken care of for the most part within the next 1-2 weeks.
So keep your Clients harvesting on 4/19...

It is not something meant for the 50,000 crypto nerds. Perhaps even fewer than 50,000 as we're talking about coins that only exist on Bitcointalk. Even then bitcoin 2.0 was something originally used by NXT, before the coloured coins tried to co-opt it to refer to their unnecessary blockchain bloat. Using something like "Bitcoin 3.0" would just confuse people who had never heard of Bitcoin 2.0. As well the whole "forget Bitcoin - here comes NEM" doesn't do much to address people's first impression on cryptocurrency: mainly the issue of criminal image and theft.

That is what the issue is here. Cryptocurrency is often referred and interchangeable with Bitcoin, nobody knows the name cryptocurrency or alternative (like personal water craft) and they don't want to learn the term --> they only know this term Bitcoin and that's buzzword that has to be marketed.

Funny thing but I could had sworn NXT had the whole Bitcoin 2.0 (generation 2.0) branding before it was co-opted by the colored coins. Big problem we have here is very few people understand what cryptocurrency or alternatives are: they only recognize the brand Bitcoin and they perceive it to have security problems. Hence it should make people think when they read a contradiction like "Bitcoin 2.0 NEM anti-theft platform".
