whats the security whole you see? the account you harvest with is not harvesting without seeing the whole blockchain. the accont you harvest with just borrows the importance of another, in a very similar way to nxt, only the harvested nem gets redirected to the main account so it doesnt matter if someone gets the private key for that account. if there is a security flaw with nems delegated harvesting due to a proxy account doing the harvest, then the same can be said about nxts leased forging.

How do you see the whole blockchain if you harvest on a remote server (controlled by a hacker)?

Why have i had a transaction made of 6 XEM go out of my account?
I never sent any funds anywhere, it says its an importance transaction, is this think sort of automatic to increase your importance?

did you set up "delegated harvesting"?

If you did that was what the transaction was for. Smiley

I've created a new wallet, then chose add existing data by using my private key.  But my wallet shows 0 XEM, my token etc was registered and my real address is viewable from
https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/registered/   as satb.  But 0 xem is shown in the wallet, as is on the blockchain when I type my address.  Anyone got any ideas how to resolve this?

is the account you imported the same as the account on registered list?
HI, the account is the same, I've double checked the address and it is the correct address, and the public and private keys match the ones I had stored.  But still receiving the message:
0 XEM (vested: 0)

Harvesting without seeing the whole blockchain is a hole in the security of NEM. I wouldn't tell about this feature on a conference (NEMsters are going to attend conferences, right?) because doing this is just asking for troubles. We can discuss the feature later, when the dust of the launch settles down.

So I read ...thread over thread over thread over website again other website again some big bullshit ...and ended up here. Where guess ...what ? I found more bs. I can't find the end of this ....where is the silver lining in this "Crypto" or how it is?

It says something like :  "The fundraising is especially designed to promote fairness and egalitarianism. This is the first funding scheme of this type ever and we believe it is revolutionary in its effort to bring egalitarianism to the crypto industry. "

How is promoting fairness and egalitarianism ? And how raising funds on Bitcointalk with a lausy Google Spreadsheet is revolutionary ?

Can please somebody tell me what the hell is this ?

You have to switch over to your secondary account which you loaded via your private key click top right corner and there is a drop down to secondary account. Had the same confusion.

No I think he has the same problem I have. check if your account ID is listed here  (ctrl+f) : https://forum.ournem.com/nem-news-alerts/the-age-of-extinction-the-final-blow-to-sockmasters/msg13979/#msg13979

Still error 700 even if I have more than 10 000 XEM ?? Any idea?

I'm guessing you transferred your XEM to a new account and your "Vested Balance" is 0 or less than 10,000 XEM?

If so have to wait a few hours till your vested balance shows up.

Ok so I can harvest until 6 hour I guess. Thanks

[in nem] "oh no i cant run nis, my computer is too crap" "how can i harvest safely"  "hey dude, that sucks, heres my IP address, have fun"..

[in nxt] "hey dude, that sucks, first you need to go set up a server and do all the config stuff and set up nxt on it, then you need to create a new account on the server and then go back to your client and lease forging to that new account on the server, oh yeah, make sure to grab all the harvested nxt out of it soon as possible cos your passphrase is on the server and someone could take them, not all that hard, have fun"

yeah... not different at all...  Roll Eyes

you shouldnt even need to add any message when withdrawing.. only when depositing.

Go to https://www.poloniex.com/balances. Scroll down to "[XEM] New Economy Movement" there is a button called "Generate New XEM Message". Click on it and you see what message you have to supply.

EDIT: ah you want to withdraw, forget the above statement.

Thanks Guys!

The message thing confused me!..

Happy XEM Trading!!.... Cheesy

Cheers! Smiley

I just saw that I ordered 4 NEM silver coins way back. Also I remember that there were talks about how each stake, will receive a free extra NEM silver coin. Is this still happening?

as far as i know, that is still happening. but of course it would depend on market cap and volume i think.

I'm trying to send XEM from Poloniex to my NEM wallet.

What's the message I need to put there?

Is this poloniex thread?

No. It's NEM Official Thread.

Say it straight. What you want to say.
