mining is so 2012-2013
I hope the November 22nd deadline for Phase 2 is extended until reports of JavaFX errors subside, or sometime in early December. On one of my two computers, I got this error in both Firefox and Chrome despite installing the correct Java 8 32bit version after removing the incorrect Java 8 64bit version. I work in IT, and am concerned that the complexity involved in installing NEM at this stage is unfair to people without the ability to proceed past Phase 1 requirements, given the beta testing stage of the NEM client.

If we want NEM to be mainstream, it has to be accessible to people with a seamless install, not one with a bug that seems to affect random people who've installed the required Java version.

Sorry you think that client is too complex to deal with. I have no IT background and I find it really easy to deal with compare to the early days with NXT. This client is by far way to easy to deal with. I have no probs what so ever. You're an IT guy you'll figure it out bro. I did and im just a average Joe. Smiley

Arghhh......you have reminded me of the early days with NXT and trying to get the wallet working.....I was wanting to forget about that  Cry Cry Cry

I just started crypto in the days of 5 NXT clients and none worked well. It was sooooo confusing. NEM in comparison is soooooo easy and this is pre-launch.

Nxt NEM
How much does 1 NEMcoin cost in btc ?

1 NEMstake ~ 35K Nxt. 35K Nxt ~ 2BTC. Approximately, cost of 1 NEMcoin is 2 BTC/ 1M = 20 satoshi.

2/1m = 200 satoshis.

or will it be
 2 BTC / 2000 000 = 0.00000100 BTC = 100 satoshi

Wouldn't that be a nice, round number, even hanging on the decimal and SI systems  Smiley

It's not too complex for *me*; I worked around the bug by switching machines. We can't expect most people to have that sort of luxury and skill, however. I'm trying to look out for average and beginner users who run into the same bug I have. That's partly why I'm setting aside 1% of my stake to give to people in the first year who've made honest claims, but were denied their 100% share for various technical and time-deadline glitches.

P.S. Ouch! Thus. each coin is too expensive! There would be no good ROI  Wink

Are there anymore plans regarding the NEM asset exchange?

Sure, there has been lots of discussion on the NEM forum. After launch, we'll focus a lot more on that.

Another question. My name used to be on this list showing me as registered, after I put in the token that we got from patmast3r https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/registered

I book marked it, but now I don't see my name. What have I missed?

Just in case you didn't find an answer until now, here you go: https://medium.com/@xtester/updated-phase-2-redemption-guide-401e63b43344

P.S. It was just above your post.  Smiley

Thank you very much.

NEMcoin has not been released yet. Not available on any exchange.

You can trade NEMstake (=1M NEMcoin) on Nxt Asset Exchange.

Posting here, because I can't fix registration on nemcoin.com forum. The resend authentication link gives this error when I enter my email address and password, leaving "new email" and activation boxes blank:
"Please enter a valid email address, ."
If I go to log in, it says I need the activation code, but it's not in my email.
