Listen people! Try new beta version of NEM client. There is a new feature - hidden balance. It greatly improves your security level. You're gonna love it! Tongue

New version works great and it is very stable at least at my end. Great work guys, what an amazing team NEM has!! Very glad to be a part of this!!! Many thanks to all involved

So how can be stake registered right now? I havent registered yet but I have NEM adress.
Can I just put there my token and real NEM adress? Or is there some special process for late comers?

What is the deadline for the second stage of redemption? I'm really busy right now and don't want to miss out ...

No idea.  It is not written anywhere.  All I see here is a date of November 22, maybe the day after on November 23 is when coins are sent out to launch wallets?

Info can be found both here: https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2631.msg8425#msg8425 and here: https://medium.com/@xtester/updated-phase-2-redemption-guide-401e63b43344

And you're right, 22 November is the deadline.

Thanks guys good to know I have a couple of weeks. I think it is a little rushed if even a crypto fanatic like me feels under pressure to claim the stakes and hopefully no one misses out  Cry Should be extended in my opinion.

The 22nd is the last day to register the AE stakes...

and if you don't then, as for the BTT Holders, the 'extended period' kicks in and the longer you delay the less NEM per AE stake you'll get:

23 Nov to 22 Dec: 750,000 NEM per stake
23 Dec to 22 Jan: 500,000 NEM perr stake
23 Jan to 22 Feb: 250,000 NEM per stake

On and from 23 February, any unclaimed stake is worthless.

Correct?

Not worthless but nothing can be claimed thereafter.

so, i installed NEM, created a real data account and transfer the stake from NXT AE with the encrypted message of my real data NEM account (N....)

and now  Huh  Huh  Huh

i'm still logged in with another NEM account (T....). When and how do i see my NEMs in my wallet and can start with harvesting?

You mean Unencrypted, right?

It's not 'worthless'. 1 NEM is always 1 NEM and the total Market Cap doesn;t change.

The user who doesn't claim it will lose the NEM's that't it.

It'will be worthless when you send a stake to the Genesis.

Can anyone say what is true here, please?

To get nems we must be in register before  22nd day.?

To be in register we must use nem Beta application. ?

The Beta works in Linux?

We have tried Beta in Linux but the client screen stays blank. Both nis and ncc scripts are run in their own terminal windows and both say that ready for 127.0.0.1 etc etc and no errors.
The browser window for ncc port remains blank.
Whats the problem?

If we cant get it workin, it means that we will not get any coins?  Sad

Our Saviour lives - that is the truth ;-) Everything else is relative! :-)
The 22nd is the last day to register the AE stakes. Please read OP for the detailed instructions of Phases and Steps.
It is not easy to help you if we don't know where are you now on those steps.

My wife is using newest/updated Linux Mint (xfce) and there wasn't any trouble installing NEM monitor.
Here are the steps for getting everything working on that setup:

This is for installing java 8:
(Learned here: http://youtu.be/GRlFFAvZO74)

In command line punch this:

Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install oracle-java8-installer

java -version

NEM installation:

After that restart your Firefox and go to: http://bob.nem.ninja/webstart
And click on the bottom link to start nem client.

(you may need to allow the Java to run if promted by Firefox).

If you succeed with this - let us know and ask more questions/request testNEMs :-)

Have a nice day NEMber! :-D

EDIT: It even works better (no problems whatsoever, straight booting of the node...) and it is easier to setup than on Win7 :-)

Right now the competition is all a bunch of amateurs. One serious team could smash it's way into crypto if done right.  That's why my latest fear for NEM is the new IBM/Samsung partnership to build a blockchain. I would me be so happy if what we did is to build a platform and have them join us, the same way Counterparty built a platform and is getting Overstocks backing.

I'm serious that the first crypto project to go full steam a head with its 100% can seriously turn this whole crypto field upside down in just a few years. Bitcoin is an awesome experiment that probably wasn't ever meant to getthis far and the rest is just a handful of underfunded and undermanned teams.

I wouldn't say amateurs but I would be more inclined to say, idealists. Wink

Despite all the duds, fuds and trolls, I believe NEM has a bunch of serious people with great visionary ideas. NEM is also fortunate to have world class devs and a good support team, but it would have been much better if we have a few more of them. We have a good spectrum of young, aggressive, mature and experience people here. What we are quite void are go-getters, unless they are still watching closely at this stage.

I don't think we should have much fear of our "competition". Our V1 as I see it is going to be a great platform and we are a platform. We have all it takes to be a block chain 2.0. We are not a coin per se which what most people in the forum seemed to be so skewed to think so.

I would be more inclined to champion the platform to corporate and the financial institutions. But first and foremost, I don't even want to think about that just yet. The most important thing now in my mind is to get AltNemo off the ground.

Now you can check if you have successfully registered here (use ctrl-f to find easier): https://chain.nem.ninja/stakes/registered

Yes, it is normal to still have anly T (test) addresses and "account" since real NEMs haven't yet been released.

If you want to test the system you can do that by using testNEMs. Just put your testNEM address in the signature or go to official forum and request it there:

You can harvest with testNEMs but it is all just for testing for now.

Further instructions/info will be posted soon. Please check frequently this thread as well as other resources:

plus it was supposed to be UNENCRYPTED as in NOT ENCRYPTED. Well, more manual work for me.
