I've just claimed my (partial) stake from the AE.  Everything went well untill I had to re-enter my private key to make sure it was the right one.  I re-entered it after saving to clipboard (and a text editor) and it said the private key was wrong which can't be true...  a) How can this be possible? b) What if the shit hits the fan and I can't claim my stake due to this fault (somewhere)?

(in worst case scenario I can always prove everything (with screenshots and everything) I just wrote to the person...human, who sends out the actual NEM.)

you mean you took the address sent it off with your stake and only then went back to copy the details and save them?

seriously?

I think he is saying he copied his details, but when it asks you to enter your PK to ensure you have the right info it said it was wrong.

"I've just claimed my (partial) stake from the AE.  Everything went well untill I had to re-enter my private key to make sure it was the right one"

"re-entered it after saving to clipboard"

by the sounds of it he created the data > redeemed his stake > saved data(copied to clipboard and text editor) > realised it was wrong > posted here.

Maybe. The day of redemption is going to be flooded in here with people not recieving coins I am sure of it. Just hope I did everything right and I am not one of those people.

Life is but a dream within a dream
Here is the good news: new beta build is here: https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2595.new#new

Nice! Managed to update.
Only thing is, why does it have to synchronise from Day1 again? Tongue

Actually, guys, I'm not young, but I feel the drive of understanding involved in NEM. Indeed, it may very well be that this is part of world history.

When creating real account data, I noticed the private key is sometimes 64 characters and sometimes 66 characters. If it is 66 chars it always begins with "00".
I tested them by importing with the Add an Existing Account button and in all cases the address matches except the first character and the last seven characters.
Is this ok? Just want to make sure before sending off my NEMStake.

yes that is how it should be.. to be extra safe.. you can download the new beta release that is posted above your post and in that release there is a feature for checking that the private key you have saved actually creates the address that you have saved so you can make 100% you have the correct details.. best you do that before going further.. better safe than sorry.

So the Private key with the 00 is good or bad? My PK has a 00 beginning and I already sent oiff for my stake.

00 is perfect.. some have 00 and others dont.. those with 00 at the start should be 66 chars long and those that dont have 00 should be 64 chars long.

Thank you all for coins Smiley

Seems I have a problem with local harvesting:

Quote
Oops!

The provided account does not satisfy the basic criteria for harvesting. Mainly it is related to the amount of NEMs within the account. Harvesting starts with at least 1000 NEM.

NIS is synchronized, many confirmations from transactions and almost 500000 TNEM.

Tried to close everything and boot local node again with no results... :/

This is not a problem, harvesting can only start after 24h.

Oh ok, thanks Wink
