apologies about missing you in the last news letter.. my internet and laptop caused many glitches which meant i did miss some people. to go through 3000 messages and find out who it missed would have been impossible. everything is running far better now with a new laptop and new internet so this shouldnt happen again.

such a weird day on the AE, someone buy like 10 stakes and jam the price to 29k, then people start to dump at 25k buy orders lol.
Look at the NXT/BTC price...
what's the point to dump at 20% less than last buy for something that went up like 10%
create a small panic sell and buy back at 90% - 95% buy a silver coin with the profit
That's what happens when you sell gold and silver for NEMstake while it is still such a small market.

Can somebody tell me or give a link to how to sign a message from the bitcoin address that I used to pay?
it's possible through blockchain.info, bitcoin official wallet and electrum afaik.
i used blockchain.info.
So you'd have to dumpprivkey from your wallet, then import the key to blockchain.info wallet. then on homepage of wallet, (right after logging in) you click on the desire address then select "sign message"
Blockchain.info is quite safe, i've been using it for 6 months now. But always be sure that your privkey is safe, and there's no trojan, or keyloggers on your pc. then you're good to go. Plus make sure your password on blockchain.info is different than the one on bitcointalk just in case.
You can use the vanilla Bitcoin Core wallet, and it has the feature.
I am so glad I got my stake barely last week.

In all that you guys are forgetting the NEM Monitor
It really is too much for non tech people. It should be a Client and that's it. No matter how many different parts work inside it.
Also I think it's only called Frostbite 3 no ?

For beta release, I think it's okay if this sort of thing is still a bit rough around the edges. After beta launches I'm sure the dev team will begin to focus more on the usability aspect of everything before the official 1.0 launch because realistically, the only people using beta will be people who are tech-savvy enough to figure this sort of thing out. I think it's better for the devs to focus on the internals and getting all the basic functionality complete before working on user-friendliness.
Of course, it's still good for us to share our opinion about these things so we can document them and get them taken care of in the weeks and months to come. (And I totally agree with your sentiment as I've already mentioned this before, after the previous alpha release.)
This is something that the devs are aware of. It's been brought up multiple times but right now there's just more important stuff to deal with
