I looked at those accounts on the NXT block explorer.  A lot of that is from NXT whales that have millions and millions of NXT.  Those accounts can't sell their NXT without crashing the market so it is in their best interest to diversify.  NEM is actually the best thing that has come along for them.  It is also in NEM's best interest to have some NXT whales investing in it.  It helps stabilize price support and shows that other people that have been very successful in crypto are looking at NEM as the next big thing. There has been a lot of NXT/NEM hate that is really unnecessary.  A lot of the NEM developers started NEM after working on NXT and there is some crossover.  Even the lead developer of NXT is excited about NEM.

Anyway, right now I don't see it as a problem that one person owns 5-10.  If one NXT whale wants to buy 100 shares, then that whale could possible hurt NEM later on, but with thousands of stakes, one person holding 10 won't really move the market.

I am a little jealous myself actually.  I would love to own 10 stakes. hahahaha.

Nxt NEM
This was in the queue before the "harvesting" Smiley

Are there any plans to prevent possible sockpuppets to receive more than eg. 5 stakes?

https://nxtforum.org/alternate-cryptocurrencies/nemstake-discussion/msg50732/#msg50732

Or is it now an ineffective way, coz there may be persons, who have "legally" more stakes than defined? (They may have bought them from auctions and AE)

The alpha launch is on schedule?

Is there a new shareholders list? I would like to check if I am still there after the turmoil.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/lv?key=0Ak91SD0veCeddDdmTkdaWV8zbHp2dWlodDVEVUItbXc&usp=sharing

The stakeholder list is intact and was not affected by any of the changes in the community.

Thanks. I actually found the same from the website.

How is the list intact? I thought UF's accounts were going to be removed?

These accounts need to be closely monitered imo.

Someone with a lot of money would have bought them anyway after the launch.  As far as I am concerned UF new rule that he introduced at launch of AE that only 2 stakes can be redeemed per Nxt account is idiotic and should be scratched.

These people bought the stake in open market from other nem stakeholders. There should be no "rules" on how many Nem can someone buy in an open market from other nem holders.

There were people who bought Nemstake without knowing about the threads.  There was no disclaimer on the asset exchange.

This sort of trading would had happened at launch.

Which threads (or threats) ?

About distribution:
yea ... for NEM it could be possible to start evaluating it from the very beginning (with certain assumptions, ofc Smiley )

why?

this was going to happen whether it happened now through AE or after launch?
+1

plus keep in mind its only a small percentage of stakes being traded so its not nearly as bad as it looks!
why does it look bad?
