NEM is still in experimental phase. Do you really want thousands, even millions, of people flocking to a platform that is still experimental?

It doesn't sound like a good idea when we even haven't left beta stage, this tech will manage people's literal finances which affect their daily lives. Developers have to make sure it's extra secure and stable.

It will be ready when it will be ready and when that happens more exchanges/people/companies will pick up NEM.

"NEM is an enterprise class solution and therefore is not an experiment." - Lon Wong, Founding President, NEM.io Foundation

Guess that is now settled ;-)

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Let's be realistic now kids.

And by the way, I'm an early hodlr of NEM so no fud here. Just don't like sensationalistic garbage, let NEM grow naturally and organically, not by using cheap marketing tactics

you do not like arrogance, but you still use statements which go very near to that...

Yes, no need to make needless sensations, but either there is no need to say a project "experimental" -
a project, which has bypassed these phases
- "it is a scam"
- "they never get the blockchain working"
- "the project will die in a year"
- "the value of NEM will be going down, down , until it is 0"
- "they wont get any apps"
- etc.  etc.

How NEM is different from Bitcoin ?

1. The amount of users is smaller.
How the amount of NEM users is raised?  By sensations ...?

2. The ... ?

What are you talking about?  Stop using google translate Cheesy Roll Eyes

I am disappointed to you.
The number of your posts refers to better knowledge, but maybe the first post of yours reveals, what you are about Smiley    ("ban...")

Now you are jumping away again, but let's grab that "joke" too:
- why are you taking Google into this discussion ?  (I am not using it)
- you have not yet defined what do you mean by "NEM is experimental". (So, you are writing FUD, ... why?)

NEM will be used by more people when there's enough incentive for them to do so.

Whats the next big feature NEM devs are working on now? Any link for the roadmap?

the next big thing is catapult. you can find the whitepaper and information on the homepage. there a lot projects going on beside that. I think telegram and twitter are best to be updated

I've heard catapult for quite some time now. maybe the market has already digested this information. the breakout pattern last week seems to be disrupted by the regulation news on ICO, what a pity

Sooooo. How about that catapult? and silver coins

Catapult should be released 4th quarter but it will be on the private chain first for testing which is fine. I doubt you will get any concrete answer on Silver coins or more importantly the Silvercoin fund. Believe me i have tried.

There is a breeze.

Interview with Lon Wong, president and founder of NEM Foundation

Probably everyone knows about the NEM blockchain solution platform. But always behind every project there are those responsible who put their best to advance day by day. One of those people behind the NEM ecosystem is Lon Wong, president of the NEM Foundation, who kindly gave us an interview that we will share at this time:

Highlights for me from the interview are - Any failure in one off-chain smart contract does not expose the system to a systemic failure and it can be stopped, corrected and re-run without having to fork or rollback the blockchain, which may have other applications that may not be part of the problem application.

Is there any big company interested in NEM today?
Yes, there are companies working on NEM, many of which are still in the development stage and under NDA.

What are NEM’s plans for next year?

NEM’s plan next year is basically out to market. We have assembled a team are undertaking a huge marketing effort for the next year. We just held a global strategy summit recently to identify our goals for the near future.

Regarding XEM’s market prices, what could we expect in the future?

We will expect the price of XEM to climb up significantly as we roll out our projects. Or growth was intentionally designed to be organic and steady.

Interesting.. hope some developments come sooner rather than later. The lack of volume is troubling to me and I think we need a good shot in the pants to keep from "falling off the radar" as it were..

Seems to be very interesting because once everything is developed than the price of NEM is going to be in Moon then. Really NEM is going to become good to other market where it should lead the cryptocurrency very soon.

I made new NEM news. Topics: NEM news: ICO Graft, COMSA, Bankera, Qchain, Competitors, conferences
https://youtu.be/PsfYCWTfeGY

Great work. One minor comment is that Graft is not actually utilizing the NEM platform outside of the ICO pre-sale. They are only using NEM mosaic during pre-sale to raise funds and then will burn them to transfer to their own PoW/PoS hybrid block chain. It's great to see people choosing NEM over ETH to host their ICO tokens but don't want people to invest in Graft thinking it will be using NEM technology.

So would i be right in thinking the only ICO that exclusively uses XEM is DIM?

The ICO participation was in XEM and others. But they use the NEM platform

What are the requirements a server must meet to run NIS? I'm mainly asking about RAM and storage needs.
I've made simple node with 1 GB of RAM. But for supernode several GBs are needed.
And for storage - blockchain in not big for now, a couple GB is enough.

Does anyone know if NEM will be having a airdrop soon?

Nope, all XEM has already been distributed.
