Allergic to false promises
PhotoMead it:

- Advertizing at the expense of multinuclear system of virtual and real offices round which free and hired participants of the virus mechanism of the photo are grouped. Advertizing becomes expedient, thanks to mass character of visits, and as a result of operation of the virus mechanism of the photo. The virus mechanism of the photo is based on street photo opportunities with transfer of the coupon to any photographed person who as a result of it can become the participant of the project itself.

- A Media Bank and Frilans-Platforma for all photo capable participants. The media drain is intended for placement of diverse content by participants, including thanks to removal of the photos received as a result of the invitation in the project to public level.
The freelance platform allows rating participants to cooperate with the business interested in advertizing on PhotoMead.

- Service of Registration of intellectual and other property in the blokcheena of the NEM cryptoplatform.
It is the unique opportunity inherent in a phenomenon crypto. The document registered in the blokcheena receives the most advanced stage of protection against any unfriendly manifestations.

Except this PhotoMead has all opportunities of a social network.
Phew, you really've got me there as I don't understand a word, but maybe the joint is to blame...

storage and internal payments

for storage of the earned money
or for acquisition of necessary content or services...

one of services such: having own Agency, you will be able to place advertizing on any of many thousands of similar Agencies on the world...

Thanks, I feel like crushing some bones, but I appreciate your help  Wink Also, this project is still in the early stages so I expect things to get better in time  Smiley

The underlying engine of NEM will make it so people like yourself won't ever have any of these problems.  We just need to fill out the tech more built on top of it.  The core of NEM allows for trustless webwallets, usb drive wallets, mobile wallets, quick start desktop apps, special ultra-secure off the internet hardware wallets and more, all of which will be one-click and start.  The underlying tech that these things will be built on is way better than regular 1.0 "coin" platforms.  And the great thing is that all of these wallets and apps from numerous third party developers can interact with each other pretty seemlessly across Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and Linux.  If we had more coders and builders, those things could actually happen fast.

NEM devs wanted to make a blockchain that just worked, and while a pretty amazing base is being built, the finished product and nice end user experience actually hasn't been built yet.  But in time..... :-)

Yeah and I would like to add
a) People who run a full node usually know what they are doing, and then they usually run the full node on a Linux system which means no installer anyways^^
b) NEM is not exactly focusing on the end-user till now. We are building a hightech blockchain platform and I personally don't expect end-users to understand the potential. I hope this doesn't sound arrogant, what I mean is: The general potential of the tech is nothing end-users really need. They need well done graphical user interfaces, developed in an extremely userfriendly way and maybe even for use cases where they don't even expect NEM as the backbone.

But yeah, we are planing to improve the NCC (NEM Community Client) interface for sure. Right now the devs don't have a lot of time though, because they are focusing on things with higher priority (mijin cooperation, node rewards, to just tell 2 examples).

Okay I give up, I just manually boot locally, also the DB blocks having to load all over again every time I start my wallet is frustrating, I just have to accept that this wallet is a pain in the ass in some regards... Embarrassed Undecided
Please understand, that you are running a full node, not just a client. Starting a full node takes some time (load the complete database, synchronize...), but with NEM you are not forced to do that, but can still be 100% safe.

Please read our tutorials, we have really written a lot of helpful stuff: http://blog.nem.io/nem-quick-start-guide/

Regarding your problem with auto-boot etc:
I think there is some problem with the installer version setting the right state (db fully loaded, booted, synced), but I am not sure, I dont use the installer version.

EDIT:
To be able to run just NCC, I think you dont have to download the standalone version if you already installed the installer version.

Now it's just stuck...renamed my node name for my auto-boot settings and now it says;

"Booting NIS... (at block 288965)"

I get that message on top, but somehow I am able to locally harvest now? So does this mean I am connected to a local node after all even though the message on top of my wallet says otherwise?

"NIS needs to be booted. Please open your wallet and boot a local node via the popup dialog or configure the auto-boot setting"

This is the message I get...

Thanks I already have the "auto boot' option vinked, however it doesn't automatically boot when I start my wallet? I have to do it manually each and every time still...
Are you using the installer version? I think this is not the first time somebody reports this problem.
Are you just opening the NEM software and then wait? Or are you manually starting NIS and/or NCC? How exactly are you doing it?

Also I like the project "Crypto Apex Inc.", however I don't like the name that much, why this name? Isn't "Nemdaq" or "Nemdex" or something much better? I mean NEM and the exchange belong together right? Why is it called the way it is? I don't think it's a good move marketing wise...
Well, "Crypto Apex" is not a NEM internal project. It is a third party application/service. But rockethead or other people who are involved could probably tell you more about this.

Thanks again for helping me out nembuddy  Smiley. Well, yes I use the installer version for Windows, when I open the wallet and the db blocks have loaded I get a message on the top of my wallet that says I still need to connect to a (local) node. Then I go to the settings on top next to the grey puppet and click "boot local node". I have to do that each and every time myself, not that it's the end of the world, it's just more comrfortable if a local node boots automatically...
