In my opinion something like Sound of NEM cannot harm the project, but it might create awareness, which is needed to make the great tech of NEM known at all.
Btw: No dev was involved in Sound of NEM of course. So there is no reason to believe the tech development was slowed down by this game. Just in case you were trying to say that...
Hmm okay I thought this was a DEV project
Sound of NEM game was thought of and mostly made up by Microove who is a community member and not a dev. It was funded through private donations from NEMsters. Mixmaster and I, who are on the core marketing team have helped Microove out with some of the final details so he can see this project realized. I think he has done a great job working out the details and making the videos myself.
Meanwhile the devs have been very busy developing. They have a NEM experimental network of Mijin going at 100 tx/s. Yes, 100 tx/s. Mosaics and Namespaces are just about to released on the public NEM testnet for anybody to test. More information about that will come out soon.
Thanks Jabo, I think NEM devs are the best devs in crypto town, however the wallet is still too complex. Can you tell me how I can make a back up of my wallet? I mean the NEM wallet operates online or are my coins secure on cold storage on my harddrive? I know these are noob questions, but it's still not quite clear to me...

Thanks! However correct me if I am wrong, is it possible for somebody else who doesn't have my wallet files to hack my account? IOW are my NEM coins stored on my laptop or are they online on the network? I suspected the latter, hence my hesitation to get involved in the network...
