Hmmm. . . .anybody interested in some focused mining?

Zpool only pays out when it finds a block.  If we reduce the number of algos we mine, that should increase the percentage of blocks found by zpool, which means more return for us.

My three favourite algos (for nvidia) at the moment are Skein, X17 and Lyre2RE2.  If anyone wants to join me and focus on these (or has a better option), we could try it for a couple days and see if it makes a difference.  Obviously people have differing opinions, so mine what you want.

Just a thought.

.earl

I am going to put all my NVidia machines on X17, Neoscrypt, Tribus,  and Xevan only  for a few days and see how  it goes =)
Sounds good.  I've moved mine to only those algos too.  If anyone else cares to join this experiment, feel free.

.earl

Hello gents, like what are you moving to. Splendid idea to exclude the useless algos, but it should be worked out.
Curious, what inteval (in sec) would you use in your test?

Mine are all on 180-seconds.

The 13 units on m7m I have the GPUs doing ITNS (Intense Coin) & are mostly AMD cards.

But I have 36 machines on the 4 algos discussed above -- 117 GPUs.

I killed off HSR due to the massive # of orphan blocks.

LBRY due to the huge time gap between blocks -- didn't seem worth it to have my miners swap over on it.

Bitcore also seemed a bit spotty in terms of time spent vs. reward.

My daily profits increased a noticeable amount after I dropped those & Lyra2z.

I would be game... if we could get a group together to commit to it.

I have 150 total GPUs (soon to be 200)... most running on ZPOOL.
With that many GPUs we should be following your lead then. Shocked  This is just an experiment for me; for you it would probably be more.

Anyway, not sure if we should focus on three algos, or just two.  I'm hesitant to do just one as the likelihood of picking the best algorithm seems near impossible.  Having two or three provides a better risk/reward (at least in my head).

The algos I've chosen seem to have a decent find rate on zpool, but are still under 5%.  If we can up the pool's find rate by even 1%, that would be at least a 20% increase in payout.  That's the thinking anyway, I'm sure there's a lot I'm missing.  Do you have a preference for algos/number of algos?

My profit went up when I disable a few stragglers (using ZPOOL)... Lyra2z being the worst offender (0 profit in 7 weeks but yet my miners kept going after it as ZPOOL lists an estimated profit)... also I killed off HSR, Lbry, bitcore as well.

No need to kill Lbry, its not earning much because its not worth much ATM, but it could become profitable again anytime.
Why did you disable HSR and bitcore?
They do not seem problematic to me since they mature quickly.
Anybody know why zcoin (lyra2z) is problematic?
Zpool dashboard for zcoin shows ZERO earnings in the last 7 days, yet my miners keep mining it.
Is it  a bug or am I waisting hashrate?
Also, regarding useless algos: Veltor should be definitely disabled, it takes more than two days for a block to mature.

Only been mining for a few months but my profits have gone down to about just over .002 BTC a day with 6 x 1080 ti's on zpool with Nemos.
As I understand you use the actual yield and not 24hr, in your case NiceHash can bring more income than Zpool, according to his calculator, one card generates ~90$ a month, try 1-2 weeks (payout from 0.01) there and decide where is the best. Only if you use NemosMiner, you need to add a few missing algorithms: https://prnt.sc/heqez1, there are still "Pascal" but for him I found only excavator (complicated to setup).

ahashpool question...

Been on ahashpool for about 8 hours and in my "Last 24 Hours" graph my balance has not moved from 0 but my pending is going up as normal.   I'm a little nervous because in Zpool's I would see the balance going up with the pending.  Is this normal for ahashpools site stats??

thanks

jb

Yes, it's normal.

Hi,
on one of my rigs which is Japanese Windows 10 I am getting an error reading the NemosMiner-v2.2.ps1 file.
When I open it in Notepad it shows some garbage characters near the join statement for example:
join 倒・ + ・$・ $Miner_Index_Combo | ForE

BUT when I open this file on my other English Windos 10 rig, it does not show these funny characters.  Hence I cannot run neominer on this rig.
I installed the English language, I delete Japanese from the settings of Windows 10 on the Jap rig but still I see this garbage characters within the file.

So for now I have to manually run the script and check on my other English PC what is the most profitable coin / algo is at Mining Pool Hub.

Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

So how much is a 1080ti doing on this algo?
I've mined with this and other multi-pool miners and profit has been worse than mining a single coin

My 1080ti pulled in 0.49 mBTC over the last 24h, as near as I can tell from the zpool graph, running multi-algorithm (20 or so algos).

nvOC forever
Does this miner also let you automatically convert to BTC or we need to manually intervene that bit??

Or this only switches the pools and coins according to current profitable coin??

Only been mining for a few months but my profits have gone down to about just over .002 BTC a day with 6 x 1080 ti's on zpool with Nemos.   Does this sound about right for right now?   I'm wondering if I need to fix or tweak something.  In my CMD windows it always shows around 5-6 bucks/.004 BTC a day per card, rarely going much below that and sometimes going well above.

Also, what are peoples thought on neoscrypt algo in zpool with 1080ti's?   Always seems like things go down when I mine that algo.

Do you have ALL algos enabled ?

My profit went up when I disable a few stragglers (using ZPOOL)... Lyra2z being the worst offender (0 profit in 7 weeks but yet my miners kept going after it as ZPOOL lists an estimated profit)... also I killed off HSR, Lbry, bitcore as well.

I also noticed Lyra2z taking a long time to payout.  Currently I'm using:

phi,blake2s,veltor,skunk,skein,sib,x17,Lyra2RE2,c11,keccak,xevan,tribus,MyriadGroestl

I would definitely consider adding NeoScrypt and Timetravel back in your mix.

My miners spend a lot of time on those... even my 1080Ti.

try sticking to xevan or skein for 12-24 hours... i'm getting better results than when jumping all over the algos
