People won't learn until they experience it Even though they got bad experience, they'll do it again and again. So there's no point telling them repeatedly about this problem.
Most people on this forum are pretty smart and you have to be pretty stupid to keep all your Bitcoin on an exchange. Most people learn from other peoples' mistakes and the bitfinex hacking would have shown a lot of people not to keep Bitcoin in an exchange.
That's right, because they have a brain for think about that and not all people is always ever having experience about that, and I think there are a people just seeing about the experience for another people for them to learning about that.

Indeed for us to avoid a victim of a scammer, just every time we earn in the different exchange platform  we should transfer it at once into our local bitcoin wallet address.

Never keep ANY coin on ANY exchange.

Fixed.

Please people, learn to put your coins in your own local wallets where you control the private keys, never have coins in exchanges. How many times this has to be said? I guess some people never learn.

Even for how many times you will remind them there is still other member's here are  still stubborn into it. I agreed not to put all bitcoin in all exchange platform we invest. We must put it in our local wallets.

Would you guys recommend storing your coins on myethwallet? They allow storing different kinds of coins as far as i know. And so are shapeshift. Storing coins in these app can help me access them anywhere with just my Tablet.

Not sure what myethwallet is, is it an online wallet service? I couldn't find a website or Android app for it, I'd be careful about using obscure apps/services. If it is an online wallet service then I would suggest that you have a look at Coinbase instead, they are trusted, regulated and provide insurance against hacks and thefts, plus they have mobile apps. I've been using them for a long time and have never had any problems. And since they're an online service, you'll be able to access your coins from any device without needing to install an app.

Never keep coins anywhere except investments and your wallet and not for a long time either. You can always withdraw instantly in casino's etc so never a reason to leave your bitcoin there either.
It's like going to a casino and leaving your money there to pick it up the next week not so smart, be safe.

The story with Bitfinex teached all of us that it is too risky to hold all of your coins on one exchanger. Thanks God I wasn't holding my bitcoins there. I use Yobit and Blockchain. I like Yobit the most it is very easy to use and the  page is in different languages that is very useful if you are not so good in English.

That is why I just put a small percentage of the coins in the exchange to do the trade. I keep most coins in my own wallet.

I also do the same it was a lesson for all of us who often kept their money in exchanges, and those online wallets which do not have any good review or history are also not good for keeping our bitcoins in there , as they also can be hacked.
even there is some people used an exchange as their online wallet lol ,

as bitcoin wallet is private , you should not tell and held your private key to anyone ,
by storing bitcoin in third party like an exchange and other online wallet which you did not hold the private key , you are just giving away your bitcoin.
Private key has always become a general things before you're wanna for saving your money in a place, and maybe I know if you are trader and anytime you don't have a time for moving your funds into your wallet but for the normal people is not a traders and keep their money in exchange site. stupid ever.
many times i heard about people used an exchange as their wallet ,
yepp it is pretty stupid especially when you are storing about a lot of money ,
the hacked exchange should be our lesson to not go full 100% trust ,
even an exchange have a very trusted reputation.

If that is a cheap exchange website then it is likely to steal a person with a lot of bitcoin that will be stored. But for those who are known they have the thinking that trust is essential for that certain exchange to survive. Though some end up being a scam site.

no one would definitely choose unfamous   exchanger   if they are actually dumb to  put their money on those sites. As of now i think poloniex,btc-e,c-cex,yobit, bittrex is quite  famous on exchange sites as of now but  theres also a risk  on all of those exchange sites thats why i didnt put all my money their if i got profits i usually  withdraw it directly.

I agree with this  many exchanger cannot be trusted my friend already send coin to other exchange but there is no coin receiving in her wallet,  Angry always take care when you send your coin to other exchanges.

Yes the problem of exchanges not receiving deposit  is normal, just file a support ticket and they will look at the issue.  It happen to me several times and after filing a support ticket, they fix it.  About keeping the coins, it would be wise if you spread out your coins to avoid losing them all when something happen to the exchange.  Just what happen in cryptsy, on of my friend keep all his coin in it and lost it when cryptsy shutdown.

I think the best strategy in trade at exchanger is put bitcoin as much as we can. So the amount that increase will by big. Then after we done our trade, we should be withdrawl all of our bitcoin in to wallet. So the risk will be reduced.

Never keep your coins on some exchange site, never invest your money in cloud mining services, never gamble all in. For sure there is couple more rules that people need to follow if they wish to not lose their money fast. I'm wonder often how many sheep's and wolf's there is on this forum, too many obviously. I don't get how they trust and believe in some services that are proven to be frauds, sooner or later.
Well I think there will be always sheep's and wolfs around, we can't do nothing to change that.
but yeah all those gambling websites make bitcoin even bigger so i would definitely not advice people to avoid gambling websites

It is not about trusting all the time, though trust is also something should be in mind but in most cases exchanges get hacked by evil users of internet, so that is why keeping all your coins in a exchange is not safe.

Thats why im not focusing  on 1 exchange site  because  i i putted all my bitcoin  on  a site then suddenly been hacked then i got wrecked so bad compare   to   scattered all your bitcoin  on some exchanges so that if one would be lost then you could easily recovered from the remaining investments.

That is the reason I keep most of the bitcoin in my own wallet. I just leave some in the exchanges to trade.

There are some instant exchanges, where you can deposit your bitcoin and sell it without any confirmation. The coins that you receive after selling these are unusable however until a confirmation happens, and the transaction will be reverted if the bitcoin deposit is forgotten by the network.
