The altcoins out right now like Ripple and Ethereum will never surpass Bitcoin in my opinion. Anytime you hear about crypto its always Bitcoin and how it skyrocketed in price and make people millionaires so the new people out there will flock to Bitcoin.
I don't think that another altcoin will replace bitcoin soon as it is the pioneer and has been in the market for quite some time. It is still the leading cryptocurrency and it will never be soon replaced.
