This forum need more users. Then it can grow alone. U should make a special or something like this to bring many new users at one time.
Like now it looks like dead... Grin
Yes indeed need more users but I don't think its dead. It seems to grow everyday and already have several number of active users. I think having promotions could help too but first thing to be fixed is the site's payment schedule for the shares. If it will be handled carefully and punctually, members will be more active and can bring friends to the site as well.

I can't find it interesting to join your forum honestly, I'm not a nerd/ expert/ technical person yet I'm comfortable posting and reading posts around this forum. it's the same thing like bitcoin and altcoins as many people think that there should be other coins than bitcoin alone but as we can see from the adoption and usability and of course the marketcap, obviously we only need bitcoin and all the alts could be a side token an alternative method for those people being late to join and be an early adopter of bitcoin.

Even bitcointalk forum is not worth our time but you could still find whatever it is that you're looking for, you could as well discuss whatever you want and of course the signature campaigns with their pay per post model coming as a secondary incentive.

Also good luck with enslaving poor members of community, 20 sats per post or 5000 sats per post are nothing but slavery. you'll need that luck.

I'm looking forward to join you the Facebook and twitter campaign, please don't forget to inform me when it is available.
A forum really needs a good moderator that can modify the topics like deleting or moving it to the right section or boards. Is it possible that when somebody made a topic, there is a pending for approval like in Facebook groups so the staff can check it if its qualified?

There is already an ongoing 2500 Satoshi (max; depending on your followers count) Twitter campaign for a single Tweet - one person is entitle to one claim only. We are aware that reward is very low compared to the other campaign on this forums but that is all we can afford now. The topic for the Twitter bounty is located inside a member-only forum, so you will have to register in order to participate.

Regrading the moderation feedback, currently the team consist of two admins and one moderator. This is enough for a new and small forums like TheBitZone. As soon as our forums get bigger, we will definitely consider promoting some loyal members to moderator rank with the privilege to modify, move and delete posts/topics - and also ban spammers. As for the pending approval system, it is definitely possible. However we decided not to enable it because we do not want our users to wait for a moderator to reviewe their post before it is available to the public - and we do not wish to have the 360 seconds time limit like Bitcointalk too. As far as bot and spammers is concerned, our team will works around the clock to nuke* the spammers' accounts and posts.

Thank you for your comment and suggestion.
Do check TheBitZone out if you haven't and don't forget to register an account! Smiley.

I have seen this share based pay-per-post system on another forum, but the people only paid out weekly at the start and then it changed to monthly and then it stopped. I think the site grew too big and they had to manually calculate the payment based on the shares and that was too much work for them.

After the payment stopped, people left the site and the site closed down. The payment should be automated to make things easier for the site admins to do these payment.

The site was also spammed by a lot of people and the site moderators had to constantly delete posts that did not qualify for payment, which complicated the whole payment process. ^grrrrrrr^

That is interesting. We do a conversion every two weeks using an automated script that will count shares and distribute the pot equally. Not really automated system because it require someone to click a button and approve it before the script will run. As for processing the withdrawal, we do it manually so that our wallet will not be connected to the server - to prevent hacking incident.

It has been three months and so far we only have had two conversions. This mean that TheBitZone is very late. The reason is because the revenue from advertisement is not high enough. We also cannot add too much to the pot from our own wallet in order to sustain the forums for a longer time. We may consider to switch to monthly payment if the 'trend' still continue.

We will not stop doing conversion anytime soon as we have put in a lot of effort into this forums. Also, since we are a revenue sharing site, we will be able to continue for a very long time.

We have seen a lot of spam posts this month. I will make sure to have a stricter rules and regulation so that TheBitZone will have quality posts and hence quality advertisement which yield higher revenue. Currentely, we do not delete users shares for getting their post deleted. However, we may implant this in the future. The reason being, it is very complicated*.

TheBitZone will not fail anytime soon, I promise.

* for example, if a user make a post during period one and get shares for it. Then after period one, a conversion is held. During period two, our moderator found that the post the user made is useless and delete the post. Since the shares is already converted, should we deduct the shares from his period two balance? How does it look form a customer point of view to see someone with negative shares if the user did not post during the second period? Or should be deduct the amount of Satoshi? What if the user already withdraw or send it to another forums account - which could be a trade or the user alt account?

[snip]

Number of registered users are growing everyday but can you see the online stats? I think its not worthy for you i believe since if thats the case theirs no actual enter action will be happen aswell as advertiser well be away since they can't see any potential on this site. Maybe you need to do some good advertisement to gather an outside audience and you should not be settled onhere since surely they will leave you if you cannot give them a profit that they want.

I agree with what you said. Yes, Bitcointalk will not be our only place for promotion. We already reach out a lot of forums and made our introduction topic already. We will continue to do so and find new ways to promote it - for example, social media like Twitter and Facebook giveaway. Smiley.

Thank you for your comment. Do join TheBitZone if you haven't done so. Smiley.

Being honest at this point of Bitcoin development level, any idea that will last a few years in the future may prove to be a success and bring millions of profit. For developers the most difficult thing is only survive!
And remember that haters will hate!
Good luck! Smiley

Thank you for your kind and encouraging comments fachant! I hope to see you soon at TheBitZone. Smiley.

Lol, 6 users active, 5 of which are guests--that's what I just saw when checking out the site.  Seems pretty dead and is likely to remain that way.

Paying people to post is a bad idea, because it mainly appeals to people who have nothing to say, and it incentivizes shitposting.  You can see the same thing happening on bitcointalk.

You got your point too. Initially, we wanted to pay our users as a form of bonus for posting on the forums. However it get out of hand quickly and a lot of our members is making useless post. We will look into it and probably have a tighter rules.

Guy doing something! Several people active on his forum can be more valuable than the hundreds of spammers on Bitcointalk. You should to know that very well.. Wink

Edit - Just want to say that comparition Bitcointalk to other english-speaking forum is pointless, but every forum with interesting statements can be much more valuable. Let them grow..

Thank you for being so supportive @keyscore44! I really appreciate it and I will not disappoint you and others! Smiley.

This is something very similar to BitBiz.io < Account suspended now > They also had a share system built into the forum software to reward people for things they do on the forum. The reason they failed was because the owner lost interest in the project and he wanted the place to be Ad free for a better experience.

You cannot fund a project like this out of your own pocket indefinitely and expect it to survive. You also cannot expect it to succeed if you do not spend time on your own forum to make payments for the work that was done.

They had a excellent idea, but a very bad owner.  Angry

Your negative is the fact that you are linking Bitcoin < Pseudo-anonymity > to people's Social media and Google accounts. This takes away all anonymity that are one of the pro's of working with Bitcoin. ^sad^

Interesting! I always thought that my idea is unique and haven't be done before. After researching more about BitBiz.io, they idea is similar (if not exactly) the same as mine - our focus is also on funding and general crypto discussion. Another thing is that the owner and me have similar progress. I know it is very bad and show a very negative view for a owner to say this, but I am also slowly losing interest in the project. My partner also haven't posted on the forums for a really long time too. However since we put in a lot of effort into this project, we will not stop it like BitBiz.io did.

I understand that we cannot fund a profit-sharing project like this for a really long time and expect it to survive. I also understand that I need to put in a lot of effort in order for it to be a successful forums.

Thank you for your comment and I really appreciate it. We will see a much better TheBitZone in the coming months, I promise.

As for the last paragraph that you wrote, our forums enable people to register/login via their Facebook and Google+ account. Users can opt-out if they do not wish to link their social media with their TheBitZone account. Smiley.

I checked out your forum and do you have plans to increase your rates per shares? For sure that will boost your traffic.
And if that happen new members will be automatically come to your forum, well good luck to your forum congrats for doing great for the past two months!

Thank you mega_carnation for your kind words! The rate per share is determined by our revenues and activity. The more revenue we have, the higher the rate per share will be. The lower the activity is (sadly), the higher the rate will be. However without activity, our revenue will not be very high. So the more members with have, the higher the rate per post will be. Smiley.
It is your initial stage and in that stage if you will rely on the income from the site then it may not be able to support itself but you have to manage for some funds from your pocket. If you will give some money for the members to remain active then they will spend more time on your forum and slowly your members will increase in quantity after that your site will be able to bring a huge profit and the members will be happy with the revenue shares.

Thank you @FLoving for showing your interest. Like mentioned before, we have been putting our own money into the sharing pot for the past three months. And we will continue to be doing so until our website become self-sustainable.

I have a suggestion for you that you start a signature campaign on your forum to pay fixed amount of bitcoins to your members and ensure that your campaign remain competitive to the signature campaigns which are running on this forum. People will take more interest on your forum.
