FF 23.0 OSX with Adblock Plus... is that why I'm not seeing people's games being open for more players after they are created?

There isn't an actual games list, you just create a room and get matched to someone with the same settings.

Right now the game works such that you can use your "unlimited" bankroll of fun points or bit points while playing in a game. At first I thought this would make for the most interesting games because people could continue to rebuy bit points when they got low if they wanted to stay in a game and try and win the bank funds. However, especially with fun points with no real value, the game feels a bit nebulous with no clear meaning because you cant see how many FP your opponent has.

Do you guys think it makes sense to change it so that the game works by taking the buy in and putting 50% into bank funds and the other 50% into your own balance to be used for buying properties, etc? Then the players have a limited amount of points to spend within a particular game based on the buy in amount.

thoughts?
I do think that is a great idea. Buy in is always better in my opinion.

So, I just tested a round with my brother and I have a few points to point out.

We'll start with the first one,

I find the board to be very unclear, I understand you're going for a bland and simplistic look, and I'm not sure what exactly would improve the board, but maybe a bit more colourful, or a bit more of a depth effect?

Me and my brother had a hard time finding our players, they constantly just bounced around. An animation to see it actually move would be nice, and a lot more clear, maybe they could be slightly bigger / different to, to be more noticable.

Whilst trading the inactivity timer keeps counting, which is VERY annoying. In example, I get a full street traded, I'm happy! Guess I'll go buy a server and then roll - oh, shit, only 5 seconds left, quick, roll! And bam, there's your turn while you were nowhere near done.

I found it a bit unclear what the balance was, at first I thought the "Bank" was my balance, however I quickly discovered it's on the player list. It's nice to disply everyone's balances like that, but a small bar just like the bank one above it with your own balance would be nice and more clear in my opinion.

The e-mail says that I have to verify before I can play, however my brother did not verify his e-mail and was able to play without any problems.

Here's my small feedback, hope it helps! Wink.

Fry's Electronics: Players are sent here when their computer crashes and must pay a fee to get their computer repaired, or wait a maximum of 3 turns before paying the fee. If the player can roll doubles, their computer is fixed for free and they can leave that square immediately.

That's a pretty generous description of what happens if you go to Fry's.  Cheesy

Any chance of a physical game coming out, or is that treading too far into copyright issues?

If this is based on monopoly, which, by the name I do assume, there would be copyright issues, HOWEVER, there have been many released of different Monopoly boards, and I'm fairly sure there is either a fairly flexible rule on this, or a site to easily create your own boards.

Thanks for all the great feedback so far. We have found a few crucial bugs (of course) and I'm taking the site offline to get those fixed to prevent anyone from losing points. Will have the site back online by tomorrow.
