im running stock @845GH when i click on miner status...nothing.  awesome miner gives me readings 76/76/77 hardware errors over 70000 uptime over 2 days...hashrate never drops/no restarts...maybe ive just been lucky with this unit.

Is that batch 2 A3? Batch 1 comes with 600 stock, do you have 845?

yes..batch 2. i have 845 as stock

Bitmain pulling another Bitmain I guess.

Halong Mining sold 600 units of miners for SiaCoin. They are still mining now with them on siamining.com.The shipping will be from 24.03-30.03.In one week you will mine 1 usd for day with A3. All the ASIC miners sellers are using them for mining before shipping destroying the profitabillity and make it impossible to ROI that's why they have months in delivering after paying them. They make profit once on the seller price and once from mining with them before shipping to you(almost a month if you are lucky). So stupids are not the one who sell them but the one who buys them.I'm one of them:)

I ran my A3 overclocked at 930 Gh/s average for over one month with (low hardware errors under 2k/day per board)

I used 120V power on APW3++ and it worked like a charm!
Temperatures averaged around 62-65C for boards and outside room temps were between 60F-80F

I would say bitmain's PSU is stronger than it seems and does work well!

This is a dangerous example, since overloading the power supply may end up breaking it.

The input circuit in the APW3++ is designed to be able to handle max. 1200W at 110-120V and max. 1600W at 220-240V mains voltage.

I've also been running miner around 900-930 Gh/s (Overclocked from 600-650) and the power doesn't go above 1200W, it stays around 1180W on my A3's. Temps on boards are around 88C-93C with good air circulation and before at room temperature the miners would run stock at 80C-85C. After talking to Bitmain support the boards can run up to 115C before overheat protection kicks in but I would not like for the boards to get above 95C.

Hi!.

How to get a power of 1180-1200W?. When I set the A3 to 650, my power is at about 1450W!!. Do you have an APW3 power supply?.

Did bitmain tell you that the board supports up to 115C ?. I think it's a very high temperature..

Anyway, when I put more than 640, it starts to give a lot of errors and the hashrate fluctuates a lot.

Best regards.

I'm using an APW3 power supply. What I did was overclock to 650 then after the settings are changed I rebooted the miner. When it first comes up I can see the power spike to over 1400W and then after a few hours it slowly settles in at around 1180W-1200W. Yes bitmain support said the chips on the boards are rated for 115C but from my background in computers I wouldn't recommend going over 100C. All miners are different but mine seem to like to be at around 650-662 which appears to be the limit of the boards because any higher they start to get lots of errors.

Sure?. Humm, I don’t understand. I have configured my A3 with 662. I have restarted. And after a few hours my power consumption is 1500W and does not go down there.

So, I do not know how you can get it down to 1200W.

Currently, the fans are in 5010, the pcb in 63,61,65 C and the chips in 85,75,80 C.

Best regards.

So...when I loaded my A3 out of the box it was pulling 820 - 900.   Did y'alls start at 600?  I thought the 820 was standard and it's been running fine no errors or drops.   It is loud as all get out though, blows the L3+ out of the water in terms of dB.  The power cord is warm too, it is generating heat way beyond the L3+.  I unplugged it once and touched the 3 prong and burned my hand they were so hot.

Also, there were pre-configured settings for mining using antpool  (this is direct from bitmain, not an third party or ebay sell).  Is this standard?  I don't remember that for the l3+

Using standard APW3  and I haven't touched A3 in terms of OC.

1st batch had come out with 600 MHz frequency and they are indeed pretty hot my 5 pieces are running at 72-75 Celsius on boards and around 90 Celsius on chips, underclocked at 550 MHz

the reason the wire is getting so hot is because you are using the wrong gauge wire. A regular PC power cord (10a) is not enough for long term use. i went to sam ash and got a 13a power cord. now the power doesn't get hot at all.

Does anybody have good advice on best pool?
I received mine last week, and was shocked! I thought it was broke, gave error messages, couldn't connect, so i started to disconnect hashboards one by one.
Long story short: it's not nicehash-compatible!

I set mining at bitmain, luxor, and siamining. these 3 worked.
But profit seems quite low...
What are your findings/earnings of today's date?

Thanks!

oh btw: its much more silent as my S9's.... Noticed?

I I got today the first A3 with DHL, tomorrow comes one with UPS and one with  TNT.
All ordered and paid in the same hour.
The next day ordered A3 comes still on  Tuesday.

That's 4x A3 Yeah, I'm greedy.
But I also bought 32x D3 and one A5 (which does not work anymore).
3x D3 blades came from a warranty repair yesterday.

Little money comes with 47x L3+ and 6x L3 .
In addition, there is a gift from Innosilokon- one A4 + (Already mined 2.5 LTC. A long way  go to
10 500 USD, what i paid to Innosilicon for A5 and PSU-s.)

Total Litecoin miners Speed   26 000 MH/s , 3.5 LTC per day.
The money to pay for electricity comes from here.

So I  do not plan spend SiaCoin before soft fork.

What soft-fork?

Hello,

In the last 24 hours, my reward has been 820 sia, with one A3. This is getting worse.

Regards.

Hi there, would you please be kind and tell me where do you exchange your siacoin to bitcoin? thank you

https://www.shapeshift.io/ is a great site for exchanging Sia, good rates too, especially if you use precise.

Superminator is right, Shapeshift is super easy.

If you are looking to trade on bittrex it can be a bit confusing when you first start out but you get more confident in it.

With shapeshift you can trade for whatever you would like that they offer.  In bittrex, you will be trading your sia for bitcoin...maybe ethereum (i cant remember if that is a pair off the top of my head)  and then you can trade that out to gdax or coinbase or USDT if you want for cash  (USD, EUR, etc.)

If you are just wanting another coin, then use shapeshift.  If you are cashing out.  use bittrex.

PM me if you need any help.

Hi

Can someone tell me the stock heat readings for the boards/chips is for this device ?

I can run my l3+s up to about 75 Degrees - 80 without any issues (btw I am in Australia whatever)

So I am wondering what is the max safe reading you guys are running at the moment - People in sub zero temp environments need not apply

I ask as I plugged one these into the rig and would reach 100 quite easily and higher....Dont really want to turn it back on if that is normal....
