I did so but the blockchain still won't download. Or is it just a client glitch causing the Out of Sync thing to appear? By adding addnode=69.164.204.19 I only get 3 connections too.

Yeah mine is out of sync half the time.
If I can get the entire blockchain downloaded, I'll host a node. Can't be 24/7 though as it would be hosted from my laptop. My dedicated platforms are under maintenance.

I can't even load the block chain properly, it doesn't update at all 
The network has about 10 miners and 2 nodes. It's barely functioning

I agree, but it seems this coder was actually just hired by "maria 2.0" and understands bitcoin but isn't too into the community.
How many days are needed to make the patch? I could make it in 200 days if I was lazy.

Well here is an update. The cocreator/actual coder wants 1btc per day to work. 5btc to take over the domain.
We can basically take over bytecoin but I don't know if it is worth it or to just give up.

That's ridiculous. If the actual coder really wanted to be a legitimate dev, he would make this patch without needing an exorbitant daily payment for a patch any C++ coder who understands p2p networking to make. I personally wouldn't pay for that.

I got an anonymous message from the creator stating he'd do it for 3 btc but I'm not interested in basically giving the creator cash when he seems to have abandoned it.

He should know that the bounty only is paid when the code is done....

With merged mining, you have almost guaranteed stability.
