Well, it would probably take about 4~5 hours on average to generate a block solo mining if the difficulty stays the same, if you want to stay on the safer side you should probably pool mine. I can't really say what would be better for you, neither is definitely more profitable, a pool generally gives you a much more reliable payout, but finding a block makes you feel like you've struck gold

I would probably recommend mining in a pool, just because it's more reliable, but if you feel like solo mining, or doing both, it can sometimes be more profitable, it's your call

When you solo mine there is no definite reward, at least for a while. Ok, thanks. This is my first time mining without a pool, and I didn't expect shares to be accepted unless they were new blocks. I'll probably just keep solo mining then until a reliable pool pops up.

The 3 in brackets means that you have only found stale shares, so unfortunately you haven't mined anything of value yet Sad
