With the code adjusted to be 48 coins per 5 min and re adjust the difficulty every 7 days (2016 blocks), the inflation rate should look like this:

http://www.i0coin.org/inflation.png

So we will end with the exact same amount of coins in our blockchain than bitcoin in it blockchain but the maduration period will be much much sooner (maduration: when we reach the ~21M limit)

DoubleC will you have i0change.bitparking.com online by tomorrow?
I'll have an exchange up, yes. It'll be i0exchange.bitparking.com. Unfortunately 'release' time for i0coin is in the early hours of the morning for me so it'll be up a few hours later than release. I'll also want to monitor i0coin for an hour or two to get an idea of the block solve rate and number of orphans so I can set a reasonable deposit confirmation period.

For those interested, BTC Guild has prepared a fork of the frontend and backend for i0coin.  You can sign up and prepare to mine at:  i0.btcguild.com

Proportional, ~2.08% fee (1 coin if it goes 48 coins/5 minute block, 2 coins if it goes 96 coins/10 minute block).  Full BTC Guild interface and round statistics.

You can setup now and make sure your miners work.  I'll be swapping i0coind for the official release version as soon as it becomes available.

so we just mine with btc client against the pool or need i0 client?

EDIT
i mean miner not client

You can mine at I0Guild with the same miner you already use.  Just signup for an account, setup your worker, and mine away.  You can test your setup now (we're using the "testnet" i0coind right now).  The rewards/shares from the test pool will be wiped clean once the OFFICIAL i0coind is released.

WHERE are all the people decrying alt chains as "scams" and proclaiming they won't participate in I0coin for whatever moral reasons?
That's likely because IOcoin is a direct response to largest complaint against Ixcoin.  I0coin is Ixcoin only without the guy who mined solo for three months before public release of the project.

I'm here! Hum... I guess I already said everything in other threads... I really don't care for profiting with this stuff so I am not participating in any of this. But it is fun to watch  Cool

You make it sound like all those people were arguing that Ixcoin was a scam just because it was an alternate blockchain. In fact, most of the posters who called Ixcoin a scam focused on the fact that hundreds of thousands of coins were already mined before the project was made public, unlike this project or say namecoin.
