For all people's dont already know about bitcoin and they always say what's bitcoin and popular name for them to know this cryptocurrency even 80% americans heard about bitcoin they are late about it to learn for a late time for them also.
As a developed country with very easy and complete information, it is not unusual if 80% of Americans hear or know about bitcoin. But hearing about bitcoin doesn't mean getting involved in bitcoin trading or investing, because they have a tendency to "wait and see" before making a decision.

In fact, we can see the first Deadpool movie with a scene with conversation saying "Bitcoin", I forgot the release date of the film and if it wasn't mistaken it was before this thread was created. So it is clear that developed countries are already familiar with bitcoin for longer.
That was another indication that Bitcoin is near mainstream. I have also watched a portion of Ellen DeGeneres' show which talked about Bitcoin. And when she made mention of it, the people in the audience were clapping their hands and cheering. I think it showed the state of Bitcoin's popularity in the US despite the infamous reputation the banks and the SEC is painting it with.
I think that at the moment not only 80% of Americans are aware of the existence of bitcoin but also 80% of the world, as the Internet spread this feeling with a very fast speed.

But the thing is not all that 80% are using bitcoin. And maybe thry heard the bitcoin in different manner like if they heard the bad thinfs about bitcoin so that they will not use it. There are lots of possible to happen, but I think it is still a good news that there are lots of people today that are hearing some facts about bitcoin.The worrying part is that most of them have heared about Bitcoin, but even knowing it they don't feel inspired to adopt the currency. The propaganda was made, Bitcoin is well known worldwide, however it wasn't enough. Then I don't know if people are too satisfied with fiat and their currently financial life, so they don't think about using Bitcoin, or if they think it's useless or shady. The fact is that Bitcoin didn't touch them.
The more people hear or read about bitcoin, cryptocurrency or blockchain in news resources, the more powerful our community becomes and the more well any coins on the market will feel. We remember how last year a strong HYIP around bitcoin provided him with a strong investment infusion and how everything went to the bottom when the conversations were replaced by negative news. There is a very strong correlation here.

I think this is an excellent indicator. The more people will know about the cryptocurrency and how to use it, the faster we will be able to start using it as an alternative to the usual national currency.
The fact that bitcoin's popularity is growing is a good sign. This means that this technology is really needed by people and will be implemented for its intended purpose - as a currency.
America is a developed country so it is possible for high percentage of American citizen to have awareness of Bitcoin. No matter what the Government are doing a very high percentage of them are investing in bitcoin.
Take in consideration that if they want to buy, they need to do it ilegally if they don't want to pay taxes. But if they want to do the things on a good manner, they need to pay a bunch of money for taxes, and that is what makes them stay away from bitcoin.
It's sad, but that is the reality
in the next 5 years all Americans and the world's population will hear about Bitcoin, then in the next 10-15 years, the whole world will use Bitcoin and Altcoin as payment instruments. I hope this survey will be green light for us to continue to survive in Bitcoin...
A lot of people know about bitcoin, the reason people heard about bitcoin is becouse its price at one point of time. That time was when the price of bitcoin was high and it was going up and up and up,thats why but now the people who heard about bitcoin now dont give a fuck about it.

I agree with, I think that it is a positive result and I hope that it will help the bitcoin and its community to be better. I hope also that that percentage of people that heard about bitcoin will now use it also so that it can really helps the economy of the bitcoin.
I dont know what to make from this information
On one hand it is bad since, there is no more room for explosive adoption since everyone already have heard of it. On other hand this fact maybe could mean that since they heard of it, in event of price changes, they could decide to buy cryptos.

America is a developed country so it is possible for high percentage of American citizen to have awareness of Bitcoin. No matter what the Government are doing a very high percentage of them are investing in bitcoin.
Because with a large number of Americans who know about bitcoin, at least bitcoin can get a lot of money and the value will increase but until now, we have not seen too many good signs, which means Americans only care and know about Bitcoin but they do not have the investment, it reflects the fact that bitcoin is not welcome too much.
What about African counties? Doubt even 1% of the population of African countries ever used btc.
This is not a surprise to hear that a large percentage of Americans have already heard about bitcoin. I was even expecting a greater percentage than this. The level of education among Americans is far greater than many places in the world. I believe there is more people in America who have knowledge on bitcoin than the 80%.
After the media last year trumpeted to the whole world about easy earnings on a bitcoin hold, 80% of Americans are already a small figure. I thought 99% of the Earth inhabitants have already heard about Bitcoin.
This survey gives an optimistic result because most developed countries like the United States have more positive perceptions about bitcoin, whereas in countries that are too backward, the government is still a barrier. Great for the development of Bitcoin
