In many countries, many people are connected to Bitcoin. Our hopes, our dreams have always been filled with Bitcoin. Everyone already heard the word bitcoin. The future is very bright.
They've just heard it or read it one time or another but I don't know if they asked people if they really know the technology behind cryptocurrency or what it is intended for if only all those 75% are more interested to invest or already into cryptocurrency the americans can lead the way for adoption.
It's great that in one of the leading countries of the world actively accept bitcoin and spread knowledge about it. The more people talk about bitcoin, the faster it is implemented as a currency.
America is really a developed country, and new digital technologies are actively accepted in it. I hope this trend will spread faster around the world.
That is unbelievable.. If 80% of the united state don't know about bitcoin and bitcoin is as popular as this.. That is a good news if it have to reach 50% then bitcoin will be as high as that of dollars
This is not a bad statistics, but if you take the total number of people around the world who have heard about bitcoin, then this is certainly a very low figure. I want as many people as possible to know about this technology and accept it.
In my country, the enlightenment in the field of bitcoins leaves much to be desired. I don't know the exact statistics, but very few of my friends know anything about bitcoin. I hope that the situation will change over time.

That survey indicated that 79% of Americans have heard of bitcoin. Additionally, nearly half of millennials wish to invest in bitcoin.

Some of the most interesting facts gathered from the survey include:
- 79% of Americans are familiar with at least one kind of cryptocurrency
- 71% of Americans have heard of bitcoin
-The next-leading cryptocurrency is Ether/Ethereum, with 13% of Americans claiming they’ve heard of it
- Men are significantly more likely than women to report hearing about a cryptocurrency: 27% of women claim
they have not heard of any cryptocurrency, while 16% of men chose the same answer
- Litecoin was the third most recognizable cryptocurrency, with 18% of men reportedly knowing about Litecoin and 5% of women
- Despite the widespread acknowledgement of bitcoin, few respondents were directly involved with the world’s largest cryptocurrency; of those who had heard of bitcoin, 87% have had no interaction with it, which means they haven’t bought, sold, or mined bitcoin
- Approximately half (49%) of respondents said they were “Glad I didn’t buy bitcoin earlier, and I don’t plan to buy it”; 15%, meanwhile, wished they “had bought bitcoin earlier, but I feel like it’s too late now”
Relatively few people have any immediate plans to buy bitcoin, according to the survey, despite the fact that over one third (36%) of respondents believe cryptocurrency will become widely accepted
- Cryptocurrencies continue to have a stigma associated with illegal transactions, with 25% of respondents claiming that they believe most cryptocurrency transactions are for illegal purposes; an additional 19% said cryptocurrencies were used equally for legal and illegal purposes, with 17% reporting that cryptocurrencies were used more for legal than illegal purposes
- Among millennials, approximately half are interested in cryptocurrency: 48% reported being interested in cryptocurrency, with 50% claiming they were not interested
- A narrow majority of respondents (57%) said they would not be interested in converting into crypto away from the US Dollar, with one third (36%) claiming they would be interested in converting the majority of their funds to cryptocurrency
Overall, this study provides one of the best views of public opinion towards cryptocurrency. With 2 million respondents, the YouGov survey was bigger than most other crypto surveys to date. You can take the survey results in an optimistic or pessimistic way. Optimists will point to the fact that 36% of respondents would be interested in switching their funds to crypto, for example, while pessimists will mention that 50% of respondents had no interest in cryptocurrency.
It’s also important to note that YouGov is an online data analytics company. That means the results are inevitably skewed towards representing people who are already on the internet. 79% of respondents reported knowing about bitcoin, for example, but those respondents are all connected to the internet. If we were to take a more representative study of America as a whole, it seems unlikely that 4 in 5 would have heard of bitcoin.
While the crypto landscape changes, we’re still a long ways away from widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies as a unit of account. This survey, however, shows that the public is interested in crypto – or at least aware of it.

I think that is a good news that 80% of americans have heard about bitcoin because it symbolized the popularity of it.
The survey gives us very positive results. This proves that Bitcoin in particular and virtual currency are generally popular with a country like the United States. This ratio is quite true for other normal countries, except those that are too backward. This survey shows that people are skeptical about Bitcoin's ability to be successful and stable, as they still believe that Bitcoin will be unlucky, and they still believe in using the flat.
I think that is good news because 80% of americans knows or heard about of bitcoin. Actually bitcoin is so popular in my country so our government wanted to destroy it.
Those survey results indeed pretty good for us that this will makes us more confident to use bitcoin for long term purposse because eventually people of America finally have heard bitcoin but even so i think this is not enough for me that i was hoping more even if it is necessary all of people in this world know bitcoin but not only one particular country

cryptocurrency and news about it flew around the world more than once. but I think 80% is an inflated figure, or takes into account those who just heard. actually use bitcoin 10-15% maximum
This is very good news. Bitcoin is very popular cryptocurrency. And it take new market and new people every day.Now days bitcoin is a big craze. So many people are interested to invest on bitcoin. And they also earn good profit.
It's great that majority of Americans do know or have heard about it. Here in the Philippines, I estimate that almost 80% did not heard about blockchain system, cryptocurrency, or even bitcoin and I think that big percentage of the human population still dont know about these things. But I know that bitcoin will be more popular as time goes by and more people would invest to it to be ready in the digital money era
This is a good thing that more people are now getting familiar with BTC. Thi slaso means that there is a peaked interest among the people that they want to be a stake in the market too.
I am not surprised that in America 80% of its citizens hear about Bitcoin because it is an open country with technological innovation in the world and the US also legalizes Bitcoin. The more people hear about it and start investing or start consuming it for their daily needs, the crypto market will continue to grow and we will grow as a stronger community and demand will also increase. That will cause a price increase. I hope similar things happen to other countries.
Luckily, the results of the survey is positive. Cryptocurrency is the future to the digital transaction system. With advancing time, people are now understanding the need of Bitcoin more.
Yes, of course, it is very positive news. Meanwhile, we are still far from mass adoption, I think. There are more speculations, than real use cases at the moment.
That's good considering that the survey is definitely almost accurate, and it is certain that in 5 years bitcoin will become a daily payment instrument. That's what I think.
