The truth is that: a lot of persons know about bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies, but because of the sentiment of the media, they just keep wondering if this is real or another wonder bank. This is why it's important we take out time to educating people on what bitcoin aim to solve and not majorly the price predictions we do see on media. People should know how it works and the long term benefit for our society, once they catch this vision of its usability, they will naturally invest without fear. We must guide people not to invest in scam or shit project so they don't have the feeling that all cryptocurrencies  are the same.

- Among millennials, approximately half are interested in cryptocurrency: 48% reported being interested in cryptocurrency, with 50% claiming they were not interested

- A narrow majority of respondents (57%) said they would not be interested in converting into crypto away from the US Dollar, with one third (36%) claiming they would be interested in converting the majority of their funds to cryptocurrency

Kinda promising statistics.

of course it's very good, because the more people who know about bitcoin will have a positive impact, because with more and more people who know it will open up big opportunities for many people to buy bitcoin and invest.
Well, I think bitcoin isn't something strange anymore. it can even be said that almost everyone has heard about bitcoin. well, for those who don't really understand the internet, I think they will find it difficult to understand what bitcoin is. but, in general calculations, I think, everyone knows that bitcoin is digital money.

That's a good sign for the crypto world. If ETF approval happens in the next few months I think there will be a huge change in the crypto world because after ETF approval there will be huge American investors.

My response is that the more people hear the more people want to invest, this will make the market better and even increase market prices and demand increases

Yes, it will popularize Bitcoin, and more people will have the desire to invest in this cryptocurrency. Meanwhile, if so many Americans have heard about BTC, it does not mean that the people from other countries know it.

certainly great if most Americans have heard and know about bitcoin. because with many of its citizens who know, the more people there, the investment and development of bitcoin will also run well in America and in this world
but it depends on how they percieved it, if they learnt it in a negative way they will probably retract and keep away from it as there are  a lot of negative news out there in the united estates, but regardless to that i think it would be a good news overall.

In the above survey of a survey of Americans about their awareness of cryptocurrency, I still do not see serious positive developments. The fact that about 80 percent of Americans have heard of Bitcoin does not mean anything. In the past few years, the media very often raise the topic of cryptocurrency, so if the average American listens to the news and sometimes watches it on the Internet, it is very difficult not to hear anything about cryptocurrency until that time. For the time being, I see that the USA is a country with very low activity of citizens regarding the use of cryptocurrency. In other countries, interest in it is much higher. Let's hope that the situation will change over time.

dont be greedy
I think the cause is the increase in BTC prices to 19k last year which caused the cryptocurrency to be very well known. And also bitcoin users in the US are the most in the world, I myself am very aware that in US, Bitcoin is very famous and it's natural that many percentages of people who know bitcoin on US are very high

coupled with the efforts of bitcoin ETF, will increasingly attract the interest of the public to invest in crypto, not just interested. but how about that the public interest in crypto is large, but crypto is still only used as an investment asset, and cannot be used as a legal payment instrument.
with more and more governments legalizing bitcoin, of course bitcoin will be used as a legitimate payment instrument. of course America will become a prosperous country, because when it is accepted as a payment instrument, prices have soared

In a certain way it's good that bitcoin is very well known but let's stop a moment and think why it's known now: probably because of the crazy rally of the end of the last year, so what do people think about bitcoin? For many of them it's something that went up to $20k and now it's worth $6k, so it's famous but for the wrong reasons imho.

80%?  I'm not surprised.  I imagine the 20% that don't know about it are in predominantly rural areas.

This is not a bad statistics, but if you take the total number of people around the world who have heard about bitcoin, then this is certainly a very low figure. I want as many people as possible to know about this technology and accept it.

The statistics is not acceptable, I'm from the united states and at-least 60% people do not know about block-chain technology and mostly they are not interested in knowing about it. Even college students are not showing much interest, we have to create awareness during the next bull-run Smiley

cryptocurrency and news about it flew around the world more than once. but I think 80% is an inflated figure, or takes into account those who just heard. actually use bitcoin 10-15% maximum

I agree. Just having heard of it does not hold much significance. I mean we hear new things almost everyday but not everything sticks. People must learn, understand and embrace crypto, in my opinion.

In the world, bitcoin has become popular news. 80% of the population of the United States knows bitcoin, but not all understand how to work or join a bitcoin business. Only about 5% makes bitcoin a job, the rest only knows. It takes a long time to make bitcoin a profession, because its future is unclear and controversial.

I wish the survey would have checked what percentage of Americans have actually used Bitcoin, I guess the number of would be massively low, probably less than 1%. That's the statistic that really matters, who cares how many people have heard about something, everybody has heard of cocaine but very few people use it.

it shows that this technology is durable and will continue to exist for many years because so many have already heard about it and want to invest their funds
