You know we're about to enter a full blown bull market when the Ponzi schemes are back in full force.

Ponzis make you believe you're making heaps of money, then one day it all collapses and the original person or group who started the scheme, profits big.

Aviod 'Bitcoin Investments', just hodl and self-custody your coins. Don't enter your private key anywhere.

The general rule: if it sounds too go to be true, it probably is.

Many scams will want your Bitcoin.

Many alts will want your Bitcoin.

Stay safe out there.

Scammers have been around for a long time, and today they can do things secretly with Bitcoin.
But in any case and at any time, the only way to fight fraudsters is to raise awareness.

I agree, raising awareness is the key to avoid being scammed. You wouldn't want all your coins to just disappear in an instance, lets all be observant and speculate first what these scammers are using to lure us.

This is not a new trick in crypto space, this has been already happening around. Easy money? Quick return? Instant rich? People got reck if they will put their money to them. It is too much to hear that scheme, people should have to realize that these things haven't existed nor to think about doubling your money because it is out of reality.

We don't need to let them have a way to scam us. If we are a smart person, aware of the situation, I don't think that we can still be a victim of this. And besides, this is also common sense for everyone how to know if that is a scam or not, but seeing a doubling money scheme is was pretty obvious that was a BIG LIE.
I agree that this is not new at all, I get offers like that all the time, what we need to know is that such thing is impossible, a scammer can lie all what he wants about the profits that are possible in order to try to attract people to their scam and unfortunately even if most members of the forum can see through this enough people fall on these kind of scams to justify scammers keep doing this over and over again and as we know once people fall for this there is no way to get their coins back due to the nature of cryptocurrencies.

Most people are not careful enough because when you lose your money with fiat in this way there is always a chance to recover it but this is not possible with cryptocurrencies which is why we should be even more careful about who we trust and not give our money away to random people on the Internet just because they ask nicely for it.

It is a ponzi scheme for sure and there are plenty of victims here in our country to this kind of scheme as most of the people
here in our country are very greedy, they like to generate some huge amount of money without doing anything that is why they are
risking their money to this kind of scheme that promises a good amount of profit in monthly basis.

And now, they are crying as their hard earned money can't be find already as the founder are now in other country evading the multiple
cases that were filled to them. If you are a wise investors, don't be greedy and be fooled to this kind of promises.

I really agreed with you because people get people through scam based on personal needs or want, while many people are trapped into scam, it's because them really wants to multiply their coins which pushed people into investment platform's that leads them to lost their coins, scammers use want we are interested to get us, so therefore we have to observe carefully before adventuring into investment because scammers investment platform are multiple, most especially beginners have to take an adequate care for bitcoin investment.

This is not a new way to scam people, this has been done even before. Scammers always promise to give you more than what you expect where it is really impossible. They promise to make your money grow after a few days or week. But there are still more people falling under this trick even after sending them a lot of reminders.
it doesn't matter whether this is a new trick or not, the important thing is we have to remind each other...
Fraudsters using Ponzi scheme tricks will never stop even if they are under police custody. it is their character and their work. we have to be always tell about the possibility of new tricks they use because maybe many don't know the concept of that scammers.

I think crypto investors need to be extra careful because scammers are devising new ways to prey on unsuspecting people. I nearly fell for one myself to a scam mining platform called  "Cryptomining",  many people ended up losing their hard earned funds but i was lucky i had already gained from investment before they ran.

This is not new in this crypto industry. that is what they called HYIP, wherein they promise for a short period of time your investment might be triple,  there are a lot of people in this world that are not aware what is the real trading in cryptocurrency is, so they are being fall into wrong places, and they will share it to other people and it will. result to stereotyping, the moment they will hear that someone talks about bitcoin and other stuffs they will think that oh this one is fake don't believe it.

Not a new way to scam people. Taking advantage of peoples greed has been one of the prime way to scam people. I still don't get it. How come people still fall for scams like this? How do they expect that they will get "400% return" within a short period of time? I know there are people who knows it is a scam but still gives it a shot in order to see if they get lucky (which they shouldn't since all they are doing is giving scammers a hope), but then there are people who actually thinks it is real. They deserve to get scammed for their stupidity. Being a bit harsh over here, but at least they will learn a lesson and be more careful next time!
Have someone to learn but too sad that they will need to suffer such a thing before they realized how stupid they thinking about quick-rich investment. May this is somewhat in common but the problem is that people are still naive to listen to what others have said. Either believe me but we can't deny and surely scamming is a way to be normal and therefore, we consider this as a part of our life. Saving ourselves is so easy but that different to save others especially when they live in greediness.

Recently, I have seen various messages on social networks such as WhatsApp and Instagram that promise you a short-term profit of 400% bitcoin.
400% short-term profit and all these things are theft and be careful.
How would you believe anyone that’s promising you 400% within a short term? Even bigger investment platforms that has been running for years can’t pay that much, so how will someone else or a random platform that’s not well known promise you a 400% return and you believe them? Without being told, I will already know that it’s a scam.

The good thing is awareness are spreading and those who first failed to follow those fakes giveaways and promises are now learning the proper ways inside crypto/bitcoin. It's good since there are many people now that also concern with others, sharing information and guides in order to avoid being victimized by scammers and hackers.
Meehn, it’s not today that they started spreading. No matter how much awareness is being spread, people will still be falling for scam. It’s not everyone that’s a geek or good at all these things, so when they are still new and don’t know what’s happening, they will be falling for all these things.
Those kinds of promotion have a goal which is to deceive those people who are not financially literate. Of course there are many people who do not have financial education and they will easily become interested on this kind of project especially if they have a mindset of quick rich where they want their money to double or even triple in just short period of time. I think it can easily avoided through gaining knowledge and experiences, a right mindset can also be the key for us to not believe and have a good decision. Scammers are becoming smart in these past years and sadly, there are a lot of people who are being scammed. But I think they have also a fault because they did not invested to their knowledge first before putting their money on that kind of investment.

All investment offers that offer unrealistic profits are immediately avoided, as this is likely to be a scams. For me 400% short-term
profit is so unrealistic, this method is most often used by scammers. Because many people want to get profit in the short term,
so scammers only take advantage of these people's greed. Be careful not to easily trust your Bitcoin to other people. If you want to
profit from investing in Bitcoin, can do your own analysis, it's much safer to do.

Well, this scheme is not new to me though. I've seen a lot of the same cases even the time I was new to everything, and fortunately I never been fall into it. Perhaps, through the help of my friends who have more experience and knowledge always advise me to avoid this kind of scheme. Besides, sometimes you can tell if the service was a scam or not through their promises just like what OPs mentioned. It's kinda suspicious to get a 400% amount of profit within the short term. No one will probably fall into this scheme I hope, but I worrying for those individuals who are about to enter this industry though.

And they sell you multi-dollar packages that you can swing professionally, but all of that is a lie and a scam.
By selling these packages, these people sell very little and beginner information to newcomers to the digital world and promise them to become millionaires.

Do not trust these people and pay attention to analysis and fluctuations in the digital world.

These people want to sell you a dream.
This Proves that BullMarket is near to come because scammers and hackers are now at large again.

They will do anything to go with the flow as people starts being greedy at this point when they are looking for another tons of profit like what 2017 brings.

and this is How this scammers manipulate our mind and starts Singing with Best melody to lure us.

But only fool will believe in that 400% income lol,Unless you are Noob and knows nothing about crypto but to make easy money.

In crypto, I am always careful.  Do not provide personal information, remember! Bitcoin has no physical, read every information, stay away from ponzi schemes, stay away from phishing.  there are ways to avoid the scams that I did.  and I also have a bitcoin community, and we always share information about the development of the crypto world.

The common mistakes that people do always commit is believing that there are such ways of acquiring easy money and there is a fast money return for an investment made with a large possibility of gaining big interest which is totally a very impossible thing to exist that is very clear to be a scam scheme making people be fooled around being lured with such promises that will never make happen for how come it will be possible to pull out such great interest rate just by spending a handful of money and turn it into a big one? Even businesses won't make that possible.

There are really lots of ways on how other people can cheat on Bitcoin and those are really wise people taking advantage of other people's weakness and turn those into their favor so better do learn that easy and quick money return is impossible. Better know and classify what is real and what is fantasy to avoid being caught into scam schemes.

This might belong better in the scam accusations thread ( or posting a link to this thread there might be a good idea as well). With that said..thank you for sharing with us.  There's so many scams out there praying on the uninformed, it's really sad.  I've come across these scams before as well. It's crazy how simple and obvious many of them seem, but a lot of people fall for them so it's important to expose them.

This isnt something new yet this market had been flooded out by lots of it in the past or even up to this present where there are still websites and schemes that do really exist
for the purpose of getting someones funds by scamming them or running away.Thing here is that there are still people whom do continue on feeding up these fools and thats
why they are really that motivated to continue because they do know that theres someone who would really stash out some money. Everything beyond those too good
to be true interest or profit offers into those levels then its better to start out to doubt that you are dealing with some scam so that you would able to avoid it.
