It's been annoying. I don't want to spam other threads, yet I need the posts to post relevant stuff later.

I think this rule is really stupid. Wouldn't it be enough to impose some kind of account age restriction? Anyone can spam in the newbie section to get the post count, even if they troll / post spam on the real board.
It's been effective.

I think it would also be great if people couldn't post to the lending section without 6 months of account activity.

This is a good idea, but I think the post limit for noobies should be lowered.

I think the posting requirement should be reconsidered. But it wont be easy to find something better. With all the anonymity around, the only thing I can think of is taking money for it, like 0.1 btc for example.

glad I have my 5 posts now Smiley

I've been lurking here so long that when I finally went to make an account so I could post a reply to something, I was confused when I couldn't find the option to actually post. lol

the post threshold limit is odd. It makes me wonder if we are expected, encouraged to, or discouraged from simply posting nonsense in the newbie section just to get out.

I mean, I signed up on this forum months ago but I've had no legitimate things to discuss, so I'm basically permanewb until I actively choose verbal diarrhea. ;P
