I wish I had read this when I first signed up, but I can't argue against the sensibility.
I also like the approval process here, but this is also a reply to get to the required # of posts so I can start posting meaningful comments in threads that are relevant to my bitcoin interests.

I'm wondering how accurately this thing calculates time; I've been logged in a good bit already. Oh well, it'll be over soon. I understand why they try to take these measures.

Aye. Newbie restrictions needlessly fill the forums with posts, and they are annoying when you need to make an anonymous account.

It seems to me that the newbie restrictions actually encourage me to spam newbie discussions. Maybe that is why this thread is hundreds of pages long.
