freedom of speech only applies to the government. any private person can restrict you from saying anything on a forum they own.

Is there a way to tell how much more time you need to spend online? I mean *I think* I should be able to post outside of newbie box now, but the system says "no". I can see how may posts I have but I don't know about how much time I have spent here?

The point of newbie restriction is to prevent troll accounts and spammers from flooding the forums with junk content. Don't think the number of posts should be the exclusion criteria.
