Gonna buy several hundreds dollars worth of stuff on Newegg now, getting rid of all of my BTC. (:

I'm not sure, but judging by their instructions it seems they accept direct deposits.

Never heard of Newegg, but it looks pretty good. I'ma start using them, since they offer BTC. Any other sites like this that accept BTC as a payment?
If talking about computers, DELL shop accepts bitcoin payments directly from the company which is really awesome.

Omg. Omg. Omg. I've been using Newegg for ages. I absolutely love them, their support is awesome. Now I can use my BTC to good use.
Just about to make my first purchase on the site, and the only reason I'm using them is that they accept bitcoin.

So accepting bitcoin is half ass dumb.

Let's say Amazon gets around to accepting bitcoin. Only an idiot would then think that the millions of little mom and pops that also sell through Amazon but are completely separate entities handling their own inventory, shipping and finances would all also accept bitcoin.So accepting bitcoin is half ass dumb.

Same situation here, just one level up.
These setups are really no longer ideal for mining even scrypt based alts. Other alts are really too new and speculative to invest any meaningful amount in mining them.
Mining an altcoin and selling it on an exchange for BTC doesn't require any significant amount of investment in the actual coin itself. You could use a site like Coinwarz.com to find the most profitable coin for your setup, mine it, and then dump it on an exchange for BTC. It doesn't really matter what coin you choose to mine since you'll be getting rid of it anyway. It's just the short-term profitability that matters.
If you want to go through this route, then those Newegg mining kits would make sense. Not to mention they can double as a gaming rig when you're not mining.

However, they would be great for mining altcoins and exchanging them to BTC. You could also use them for gaming too, although the Sempron processor is a bit weak.

I just built a computer with all newegg parts just 2 months ago. With this news though I may be upgrading again rather soon.
