The reason that complicates bitcoin into global currency is a regulation. besides that, the pure bitcoin price movement is determined by the holder so no one can control the bitcoin. Two things that make the parties related to the global economy always reject the bitcoin to be a global currency. But it is also beneficial for bitcoin holders because they are free to do anything with their money in bitcoin form.

So many things to be done for establishing as global currency and it wount happen so early.
first blockchain technology needs to be established then there will be chance for bitcoin to establish as a global currency.

I do not think that bitcoin will ever become a world currency. Most likely there will be a new convenient and simple crypto currency, which will replace bitcoin. Bitcoin has long been obsolete. He is popular only because he appeared first. By the way, Ripple could replace bitcoin in the future.

It's not a news. It is just an idea. It's just a opinion which has been given by Ripple CEO. There are many people give their opinions every day. Many people predict the future.
Tomorrow you might hear that bitcoin will be global and the price will reach 1 million dollar.

Bitcoin is global, but not really the global currency we had in mind. And it will not become this global currency, it is hardly being used as a currency and certainly not worldwide yet. Although more and more merchants and corporations accept bitcoin lately. Issues like transaction fees and speed should also be fixed first.

And who said it? It doesn't matters if some guy creates FUD against bitcoin cause no single person or government organization controls it and saying things like Bitcoin wont be Global currency doesn't affects Bitcoin at all. Bitcoin already acts as one, but to be able to use it heavily in almost every day-to-day transaction, it must be controlled, or regulated in a sense that the government can alter its supply at will so as to help the economy stimulate. Fiat accomplishes all of those, though because of the ability of the government to alter its current supply, it's prone to hyperinflation and devaluation more than cryptocurrencies. Personally, I'd like to see people using bitcoins in a global scale even in the tiniest transaction, though that would be highly improbable even in the next decades to come.

In my opinion, maybe it would not be happen it is because not all countries allow bitcoin to be in their market. Though technologies keep upgrading but other countries will not allow bitcoin to be legitimize.

Bitcoin is already a Global Currency.I can order products outside of my continent with bitcoins.Exchange for goods and services with bitcoins and possibly do whatever I could do with my fiat with Bitcoins.I don't see how it is not a Global Currency.If you mean everyone would be using bitcoins instead of the fiat, it will never happen.

Even if bitcoin has all characteristics of becoming the first global currency, I doubt it will ever happen in our lifetime. Because the nexus of our governments won't let it happen for their own benefit. So as a tech enthusiast or bitcoin lovers, it really doesn't matter how strongly we want it to happen. our government is here to control everything. They won't let go their controlling authority for such a decentralized currency. So majority of the bitcoin holders wish to let it happen but they hope very little about it!

It is already a global currency because anyone can freely use it but the real problem is the issue about the legality in countries and this is the reason why bitcoin is being prevented from reaching its mass adoption and be used as a medium of payment or as a currency. But I understand why some countries dont want it as a currency it is because of the volatility of it and it is hard to use a currency that is not stable. And I think it will never be stable because it is being traded and people are just into it because of the profit that they can get from investing in bitcoin.
