Unfortunately, no real discussion has unfolded here on the actual topic, that I think it is better to close the thread.

What can be said from the posts so far is that there are many who believe that the NFT hype is not over yet. That surprised me, since many indicators clearly point to it.

That was a pretty short hype, but you can state that the NFT hype is over. This can be measured most clearly by the prices for NFT projects and NFT tokens. If you take Chilliz, for example, the price has collapsed by 75% from the high. In comparison, Bitcoin is currently valued around 45% lower from its high.

NFT hype is over, what do you think will be the next hype to prepare for?

Didn't Bitcoin collapse a couple of times because nobody really knew how it is going forward? I am quite sure we haven't even scratched the surface for NFTs at this point in time as much as we haven't scratched the surface of Bitcoin in 2015.
Maybe it was but couldn't deny that these projects are just relying on Bitcoin. We are becoming hopeful that NFT's will stay in good shape but as long as the entire market isn't bullish, so we can never expect such a thing.
And another factor is that we can't expect investors will invest in NFT's projects. Why? They need some proof that these projects are worth to invest.

I dont think nft hype is done. NFTs uses case is too many. We can use NFTs for games property ownership, ticket, or even real land ownership. NFTs for games it self did not reach its full potential. Imagine if games like CSGO and Dota 2 used NFTs which is good for their community, because the item price is so expensive and many website use the item for gamble. This is why NFTs will stay here for next decade as long as blockchain used.

The NFTs hype has not over yet. The silence is because of Bitcoin's low price. When BTC will go up, all NFTs token will take their value back and maybe NFTs hype increases. And people will again take Interest in NFTs Tokens.

These NFTs collapsing are shitcoins. Hypes around altcoins like that are known for not lasting long and causing a lot of losses for investors. But I think we can't say NFT as a whole is over for that reason. There are many promising NFTs around and I would say the best NFTs weren't even created or launched yet, because it's a very recent phenom.
It will be a huge success when mainstream gaming industry adopt NFT technology and it will work in a sustainable way, not being necessary to rely in ephemeral hypes to thrive, like bitcoin.

I don't think that hype has even started yet. Can you name any NFT which hyped in the recent past? I would rather say that the meme hype has come to an end nd now the time has come for NFT to show its true potential.
Different people might be having different opinion but I'm sure any of these hype will sustain for long time or at least for end of this year whereas bitcoin hype will get back to in its original shape again and that will last until next year and if you are really looking for making good money then you should go for investing only with bitcoins rather than looking for any other short-term hypes.

In my opinion also, NFT hype has already been done. Now it would be the best time for getting back to bitcoin investments by ignoring all others.

For me the hype is not yet over since we didn't yet see the full potential or the super hype of NFT. Actually, it is possible that NFT is just about to begin since there are a lot of projects now are related with NFT. So, not yet over.
Yes, it's definitely not over yet, but NFT hasn't fully started this month either, so there's still something new to look forward to and that would be a very useful surprise for NFT, as there's been a lot of positive response to NFT at this point.
I think I read some readings a few days ago, if I'm not mistaken at the crypto bloomberg that NFT is still very popular today. maybe only the bitcoin trend is slightly down, but not for NFT

I don't think that NFT Hype is over. The best is yet to be seen, it is comparatively very new market and passing through consolidation phase, next week when Binnacle will launch NFT Market then we may see a Huge Rally. We all know that Binance is the other name Success in crypto space.  Cool Cool Cool

I also think that the momentum of NFT is just being built at this time.
besides binance currently, several exchanges for the NFT project are also developing.
even in some of the social media communities that I follow, some deliberately continue to collect NFT.
those who know how to use it well, I think understand how to get the benefits that can be obtained. I believe this will continue for the long term.

In fact the NFT is perfect technology.

For long NFT hype it need a good project with strong ideological core that bring a real value to the world. The real value that is available to measure through money flows, social impacts and etc.

We sure the NFT era is only in the beginning, the good project will come. For example we have create a new one for eBook & Audiobook markets with perfect potencial of 27% CAGR and US $36 billion global market.

So we sure the NFT hype is not ending but in pause. A good projects arise in pause time. After pause the fantastic time coming to growing fast in the new unique directions as for new ideas as for community.

We will be glad for your comments about our ideas, please visit topic https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/the-future-of-defi-5344683

Thanks  Smiley!

TBH, it is very hard to predict which hype will be the next one. Nobody expected that DeFi will be that popular and at the same time, nobody expected that DEX'es and NFT will be creating these huge hype around it. Its hard to predict but whatever it is, I will wait for it Smiley.

while I think that NFT hype is not over yet, it is here to stay, there are signs what the next hype will be, and that are IoT projects with practical purpose
there are several projects at the moment, and they should thrive till the end of the year

do not take this as an advice, but look into it, and do your own analysis

Well as many hypes are happening with crypto, there will always be time that they will end and NFT hype surely is over already.
On the other hand, there are still coins related to NFT that are still popular right now like AXS or CHZ or ENJ but its obvious that the price of it is lower compare to where it was months ago. In general, the hype isn't there anymore but still the project is still running and there is a community around it and the hype helped them to stay alive.

yes like every platform this one has a big potential and i can wait to see my holding climbing to more than 3 folds at least.
i think it's not difficult for you to get the lowest profit x3, the last drop of the market had a lot of NFT coins falling sharply and i see it as a good opportunity to accumulate more favorite coins.
Yes, it's really good to take the opportunity now to collect some NFT coins, because usually after the decline, there is always a big increase and the late ones won't get anything and will always regret it.
must remember that nft is different to erc20, each nft is unique and the price usually based on each NFT as an individual coin not based on the general price of a coin like erc20 or even real cryptocurrency.
therefore buying nft at the dip could be risky if you can't really judge the real value of an NFT.
however if it's generic NFT like for example slp of axie then maybe it's still profitable to buy around the dip, otherwise nft is just a harder option to make some flipping.

People are keeping their hopes up for Binance to vitalize things for the NFT market. As we know, Binance will start this service in this month. But we are halfway June and there is still no fresh news about it as far as I know.

NFT games are still kicking and doing their best to stay still, there might be some dip on hyped NFTs but its good that we have a great project for NFTs. NFT art might be on a big hype before but I don't think its over already, it just happen that the market is going into bear trend but if its a good NFT I believe it still worth holding for.
NFT games takes a lot of developments before it become fully recognized. NFT games are in development pace right now, most of the best games are under developments right now and others are recently conduct their pre-sale to gather more funds to upgrade their systems to develop the best NFT games. Next year will be the best year for the NFT games. As you can see, Axie infinity has a good start right now gathering most of its players in middle class countries where people need to earn money. Binance recently launched their NFT platform in their website we'll see in the next couple of weeks how this platform will create new hype in the crypto space.

There is more to NFT that meet the eye, to be honest I've not seen any interesting use case compare to NFT this year, I prefer NFT than crypto DeFi projects and also those Swap platforms, I believe this is just the beginning for NFT project sooner or later you will all understand, drops in value is a must as all crypto projects except stable coins are highly volatile

Don't be so sure that NFT hype is over yet.  Grin  Because Binance is on the way to open a NFT market also in this month. I'm expecting it to draw a really big attention of people. But after some time, the hype will be over eventually I think.
it eventually just gonna be another category for blockchain based things. maybe in the future NFT art in general gonna compete with patreon or the likes where artist could get incentivized from membership or selling art, it's basically the same thing
except with NFT we could literally automatize everything and set the fee for the market place significantly lower compared to the existing art platform that are centralized and rather charging too high with strict rules imposed.
