Kogi government pays N2000 as salary to workers in February. True or rumor?

Is this not surprising: Despite mandate on minimum wage, Kogi Govt pays N2000 as salary to workers

Topic: Continuation of bad economy after crude oil price soar over $100

Crude oil (OPEC crude oil) is now over $130 per barrel (over 70% of Nigeria's total export), yet was the ASUU strike, yet no increase of minimum wage. When minimum wage was increased during the during former president time in 2009 or so, no negative effect like when it was increased in 2018, it was like no minimum wage increment as the naira purchasing power has greatly reduced.

Topic: Securities have direct access to our NIN, should Buhari be involved, he gave the order and now sued.

In details:
SERAP sues Buhari over access granted to security agencies

“Unlawful or arbitrary access to people’s personal details would contravene section 37 of the Nigerian Constitution 1999 (as amended), article 17 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and article 5 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, which protect against arbitrary or unlawful interference with one’s privacy.

I think securities should first request from the appropriate body to give them the data of a particular person rather than them having direct access to the data. This shows how we have a good president and that led to us having the best economy. I hope you will understand the irony of a president that thinks... (Don't let me complete that).

BTW I don’t even know this person who they claim used my number as emergency contact, and the loan company didn’t call me to confirm if I know this person.
I have gotten this message over 5 times if different people, I even think this is the new trend, I got another one few days ago. It can be threatening at times as I got one last year while the rest I got was just about letting you know that the person did not pay the money in time. When the person is requesting for the loan, the company will be able to access the person's contact, probably there they got your number.

Our political representatives are simply after oil wells, lands and what else ? Power, they'll rot in hell!

To lead a country that is not functioning properly is not easy, because we have rank here do not mean we are good politically and also does not mean we have the best intelligence of economy development. The problem of Nigeria is like a family or a person that knows he will have to suffer today for tomorrow to be better (not like recent poverty in the country o), but the citizens will be still be the one to complain.

Na that one I no deh fit reason at all. So if someone tell them say them use person name as guarantor them no go get sense to call that number first to confirm before giving out the loan?
They do not just give out loans, they check the bank transaction history of the person (the loan site I have used before) to know if the person will be capable to pay the loan or they reduce the amount the person can loan or the person may not be qualified to be given loan at all). Also if it is a guarantor that signed, the loaner have the right to arrest the guarantor if the borrower do not pay the loan, but in this case, the loaner can not arrest you of what you do not know about.

I got a message on WhatsApp yesterday from one of these loan apps. That X chose me as his emergency contact for a loan, that I should contact X to repay his loan or else they will publish our names and give me bad credit history nationally and internationally. I replied I don’t know this person and blocked the number.  I have never and will never use the services of these loans apps. They demand access to your contacts, messages, personal information and reserve the right to use this information however they deem fit should you default payment.
BTW I don’t even know this person who they claim used my number as emergency contact, and the loan company didn’t call me to confirm if I know this person.
The MOD of some of these loan companies dey very unacceptable. I dey wonder if na so loan application and company dey operate abroad wey dem go dey call numbers for person contact list regardless of the relationship wey the people get just to tell them say Mr or Mrs X wey dey happen to know dey owe money , or if it is just peculiar to us. Make person dey careful with loan applications and company o, some na real scam and fake to just steal your details.

In my own opinion, I think the political representatives are all old schooled, we all need a chànge in power, I doubt if any of them have got possession of any Cryptocurrencies.

Recently the South Koreans had a new president in, who prior to this election has promised to revive digital coins.
I saw a list about them, they should be amongst countries making Bitcoin a legal tender.

The present administration is full of comedians who don't know the difference between crypto and forex. Even the so called "ban" on cryptocurrency isn't effective, Nigeria can give laws easily but find it difficult to execute them. There are advertisement of crypto exchanges all over TV, radio e.t.c we know Nigerian Tv media houses are censored and mindful of government laws. If cryptocurrencies was really banned, there wouldn't be adverts of binance, Patricia e.tc. The "ban" IMO hasn't  affected the crypto industry in Nigeria, if anything it has made more people aware of cryptocurrency.
The ban is effective, CBN is not in control of radio station and other media Nigerians are using to advertise cryptocurrencies, CBN can not do beyond direct bank transactions, the kind of ban is like citizens can do what they want underground but they will bear the risk themselves, that banks are not concerned.

They have been following the lead of the US for a long time, so why should the CBN follow China on something that would have benefited them more? Is it that they do not care about financial profits as long as they are causing pains and difficulties to her citizens?
I class the present government as the educated illiterates. Although, I do not know if they are following China, but just to what CBN pointed to during the ban, but with many other countries included. But, still, they are losers as they are unable to see the benefit cryptocurrencies can provide them just as Vice President once implied.

The way cryptocurrency topic is being handled by FG is confusing. I can’t say Nigeria is anti crypto or pro crypto. Election is around the corner we will hear their campaign promises.
The federal government are yet mute about cryptocurrencies, it will also make sense if they are not involved especially to ban cryptocurrencies because its effect will be worse to the extent people would have no option than to go for noncustododial means.

Make we talk true small sef, this loan app people no be am for anything. The way them deh take harass loan defaulters and the contacts on their phones no good. Another thing be say those people no deh let the time reach before them begin scream.
I have used one before, name not mentioned because I am not advertising it. After my loan was defaulted was only the time they send message to me and some of my friends, it took me over (more than) a year before I paid them, they started to call after a year and many months had passed, I think they tried enough. But I see loaning this way as a means many people are borrowing and not able to pay back, also the interest is too much, ₦10000 to pay ₦13000 in 28 days is too much. Sending message to the contacts of loan defaulters is in their ToS.

Regulation of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies
With the pros and cons of crypto regulation, will you go for the government to totally be friendly with cryptocurrencies so that it will later be regulated or you are fine with this recent implicit ban?
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are classified as assets by the IRS, so you must pay capital gains tax on every transaction you make, and with the number of active Nigerians on crypto exchanges, the Nigerian government would have benefited more if there was no ban on crypto, but rather a tax on every transaction made by Nigerians on centralized exchanges, there are millions of crypto transactions going on in Nigeria daily, imagine how much the go is worth. They have been following the lead of the US for a long time, so why should the CBN follow China on something that would have benefited them more? Is it that they do not care about financial profits as long as they are causing pains and difficulties to her citizens?

When you have ancient people in government there is always set back. Well like it or not we are still paying tax on our transactions and these capital gain taxes ain't going to the Nigerian government so where is it going to?

Ideal society taxation of cryptocurrency transactions is a good move toward revenue generation for the government, but in 9ja's case, it will become an avenue for looters to steal the collective resources of the taxpayers' money. I even like the way our government dey go even if they ban cryptocurrency or not them no fit stop people from using it just as we dey do now. Make them no collect from money were them no give us oooo, people dey trade in commodity were no get any attachment to 9ja economy so if government wan tax us aside bank charges baba the tax regime is not proper according to political-economic

for everything, there always will be pros and cons, and IMO, the Nigerian government acted from a stand point of ignorance and wickedness...the fact that crypto transactions are still ongoing in the country is unexpected to them, as mostly the implicit ban was meant to suffocate crypto activities. Let us continue doing things undercover like this until a better government comes in with fresh minds, because if they decide to get monetary benefits from crypto transactions in the country, the funds accumulated has a high probability of being embezzled, so e nor get use for now.

Regulation of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies

I am taking this as fun to know people's opinion about cryptocurrencies in Nigeria, weather it should be regulated or not. CBN do not look for ways to make the government to benefit from crypto transactions by regulating it, instead, they just like to follow China and come up with anti-bitcoin criticism which is not exceptional in fiat as fiat are mostly used in illegal activities out of all the money existing today.

If cryptocurrencies are regulated, the government may draw out means of tax deduction which all the centralized cryptocurrency exchanges will have no option than to comply with, it can even get to the extent of Nigeria demanding for each exchanges to have a branch in Nigeria in a way the government will look for more ways for the exchanges to have no option than to comply.

Cryptocurrencies are not regulated in Nigria, the CBN banned crypto transactions which is deemed and actually an implicit ban. The government are not benefiting from crypto tax and we Nigerians see that as a benefit. But, if we check the other side, the CBN ban had gone far to the extent that make some Nigerians not to make use of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, there could have been many rise of crypto organizations in Nigeria, there could have more crypto industry development in Nigeria which can be impactful to our economy, but the ban is making all these progress not possible.

With the pros and cons of crypto regulation, will you go for the government to totally be friendly with cryptocurrencies so that it will later be regulated or you are fine with this recent implicit ban?
Even though CBN banned crypo transactions in Nigeria, the transactions are still ongoing even with the leaders of the country taking the lead in such transactions. they claimed it is banned yet advert for learning and trading of crypo is seen in all hook and cranny of the country without been checkmated and the advertizer prosecuted.
For me I think our government have to go back to understand what cryptocurrencies actually are which are virtual currencies that can be exchanged online to purchase goods and services, and the value of legal tender currencies does not determine the value. They also need to understand and have it in mind that there is a lot of innovation in the world today which cryptocurrency is part of it and become totally friendly with it.
