I heard about some kind of secret pool available from the chat when I was watching it last night.
You were giving away this access to the secret or VIP position in this NFL survivor pool to some people who guessed for trivia questions or something like this.
But what is that about and what are the advantages over the ones who are not in this secret VIP member pool?
I saw this too, they had trivia a week ago on chat for a chance to join the secret pool exclusive for chat members. The advantage here is that you'll have more chances of winning because there won't be a lot of users joining this pool since the access is only given out to users who answered the trivia first. As for your observation about the Chat Pool, you could be correct since it's indeed relatively more difficult to get in that pool (Trivia winners only) and you are also correct that the prize for that one is a free bet (0.3 BTC free bet to be specific). However, we won't know for sure if it will have the lowest entries, so "more chances of winning" will be decided early September when we see all the entries for each pool. Go ahead and look at the number of entries for the BTC Talk Pool at Games and Rounds, great value there too!
Just to be clear, it's NOT JUST ONE free pool and they have SEPARATE GUARANTEED prizes! There are lots to choose from and all you need to do is qualify for each!

Currently, there are five (not so) "secret" free pools open.
First one is the most obvious: the Free Pool with 0.5 BTC Guaranteed. For this one, all you need to do is log in and go to the NFL survivor pool page and you'll see that you can immediately join the pool. The second one is the BTC Forum Pool, found at Games and Rounds.
Three other secret free pools, also with their own guaranteed prizes, are also available. One is the Chat Pool (which you mentioned), and the other two found elsewhere in the web. (We won't tell you about it but we can give clues: check our social media pages and a popular forum site
)By the way, you can also choose from the other seven paid pools, buy-ins ranging from 0.002 BTC to 3.0 BTC

What if multiple people win a pool?
If multiple people win a pool, the total prize of the pool will be split between them.
Are there any rollover requirements for this promotion?
No. You are free to instantly withdraw any prizes you win from this promotion.
Can I enter more than once?
You can absolutely buy into the paid pools more than once! However, you can only submit one entry into the free pool.
Can I create multiple accounts to enter the free pool more than once?
No, you cannot enter the free pool with multiple accounts. We have extremely sophisticated methods for detecting multiple accounts in our system. Any user or team of users that attempt to defraud the contest by using more than one account will forfeit all promotion prizes and be banned from the contest. Any prizes won from fraud accounts will be split among all remaining prize winners.
