I was just reading this post and thought crossed in my mind that there has been no advertisement for Bitcoin. It's all growth has been natural, it's quite surprising if you think about it.
There is not really any need for bitcoin to be promoted, as in a way this is done indirectly by all the business that are related to this market, as exchanges, casinos and any business which accepts bitcoin already promote it.

Besides unlike altcoins which are centralized and owned by just a few people, bitcoin is truly decentralized, so we do not have a CEO or a board of directors which can take the decision to do this and assign funds towards this goal.

Bitcoin has advertised itself, people believe in the currency, how many currency can withstand the criticism and propaganda by the government against it, different nation government has put strict laws against this digital currency but it is still in existence that should make people to understand that Bitcoin is not just a digital currency, there are some monetary problems bitcoin has solved, the publicity of Bitcoin has always been it's value, the value of 1btc will always be higher than any currency in the world, why won't people like it when they can store large amount of their wealth in just 1btc, sooner or later every critic of bitcoin will join us here, it wouldn't matter the amount of their investment.

There was this forum that had people in it to whom it was announced and that is also a form of advertisement, it doesn't necessarily have to be a paid advertising campaign or running ads on TV or buying billboard spaces just to let people know about it. People who were involved in the creation and announcement process knew that it would eventually spread all around the world so they didn't need to market it, besides, people do marketing for things that they create for money, Satoshi and his colleagues and helpers didn't create Bitcoin to earn money through it.

Some people, like Hal Finney, were also active on social media platforms such as Twitter at that time and they used to post updates about it publicly, so the word spread little by little and that's the reason why it took so much time for adoption to reach this place or we would have had a price higher than this in the past if there was paid advertisement done just to let people know about it.

Bitcoin isn't doesn't have a marketing team like many centralized altcoins. It can, however, be advertised indirectly. Whenever a major company accepts it for payment, whenever an exchange buys a Super Bowl ad, when a casino pays a big influencer for a social media post. These are all forms of advertisement. Bitcoin's properties have attracted commercial ventures to develop around it and do the marketing on its behalf.

The community are playing a big part in Bitcoin advertisement, do you know how many old videos and pictures telling the world to buy Bitcoin? It's part of advertisement, I know that a pretty good numbers of people are into Bitcoin today because of me, they had no idea about the benefits of holding Bitcoin and thankfully they are willing to learn something new so I teach them everything.

There are many others like me on this forum, even before I came on here there have been many people telling their friends and families about Bitcoin, I know a family that are all into Bitcoin, from their father to their last born, everyone in that home are Bitcoin investors, if you are not seeing it around you that doesn't mean it's not happening.

Faucets also plays a big part too, thanks to those running them back in the days, there are many people who get to know about Bitcoin through faucets, years back many people are finding ways to make money online and that's how they find crypto faucets and they start getting some free Bitcoin with time, it's all form of advertisement and like I said before, the Bitcoin community played a bigger role in the life of Bitcoin.

That’s not totally true. In the early days people like Roger Ver put a lot of effort into advertising Bitcoin. Over the years I’ve seen billboards, commercials, mainstream tv appearances, etc. The biggest advertisement is likely word of mouth and historical performance though. Still, most people’s view of crypto even today is that it is a scam.

I actually see another side to it, where Bitcoin is being used as a promotional tool. Yes, more people and companies are leveraging Bitcoin to grab the attention of others or attract new audiences to enjoy the services offered by the advertising company. I've seen this a lot on exchange platforms, and these ads are prominently displayed on big blogs and YouTube as well.

Their words are something like this: "Buy Bitcoin now with PayPal on exchange X" or sometimes they offer perks like, "Start trading Bitcoin on exchange X and get instant rewards." I think Bitcoin has become popular enough to be used as a hook to draw more visitors or customers to a company through their ads.

Bitcoin seems like it doesn't need advertising, but advertising needs Bitcoin.

It is needed to promote Bitcoin by advertisement ! I think it's probably wrong because Bitcoin is already too much famous and known to everyone and Bitcoin no need any kind of advertisement for known to others. It become famous because of its own work there is no need of advertisement to make it more famous. We have seen many advertisement of BTC in many exchanger side or other crypto website but I think that's not essential for promoting with kind because it's already too much famous and its known to everyone because it's surely profit tendency.

Bitcoin is value in itself, its value is sufficient advert to sell it to anyone. Most people stumbled upon Bitcoin as a remedy to the financial channels they had issues with. The question is, who would not be happy to embrace a solution when its features are more than the traditional system that you were used to. That alone is more than enough to give you a second view about what the future holds for Bitcoin.

Furthermore, in my opinion, Bitcoin's most significant quality is its decentralization, which has allowed people worldwide to become familiar with and engage with Bitcoin. They benefit from Bitcoin precisely because of its decentralization. If Bitcoin were to be associated with a single country and placed under specific regulatory authority, then there might be a need to advertise it. However, in reality, Bitcoin's nature is not designed for centralized authority.

So, because of these reasons, there's no need for Bitcoin to advertise itself, and it does not need our advertising.
You are right, if one person tries to start a campaign to advertise BTC, then people might come to think that BTC is his product, and that's why he is promoting it, and in the end, he might scam us and rug-pull us. But I don't think back then or in the early 5 years, anyone would agree to spend hundreds of dollars to advertise BTC on different platforms, whether they were online or offline.

The thing is, many faucets, exchanges, and other products and services using BTC in some places are promoting their products, but BTC indirectly, which will not create such biased thoughts in others' mind. So, the fear of centralization is eliminated.

From the name bitcoin, the first thing you will know is that “bitcoin is a desensitised digital currency ...

Desensitized? You're probably right, but I don't recall anyone using that term to describe Bitcoin before. Bitcoin doesn't have emotions that could be "desensitized." Did you perhaps mean "decentralized"?

It was a typing error, actually a decentralised, not desensitised, so thanks for the correction.

Bitcoin fans and users are the ones who have taken it upon themselves to promote Bitcoin's benefits in different online communities and platforms. The organic word-of-mouth method, not standard marketing, has clearly shaped Bitcoin's remarkable rise.

Bitcoin doesn't necessarily need marketing by any organization, just like many altcoin projects do some social media promotions and bounty campaigns. Bitcoin promotion comes from us and some other ways that openly grab the attention of many people, particularly non-Bitcoiners. When I started hearing about Bitcoin, it was just people that normally talk about it, or sometimes in movies. Although I started to invest in Bitcoin after attending a Bitcoin seminar in school, there are people who, on their own, organize some Bitcoin get-togethers where they invite Bitcoiners and non-Bitcoiners to come and learn more about Bitcoin. There are some old threads on this forum where a member was teaching Bitcoin in church and another member thought about Bitcoin in school, those are still ways for promoting Bitcoin.

At first when it created well its surprising to see how bitcoin been so successful eventhough without any advertisement back up to get more passive growth before. But the technology speak up for itself and this has been well recognize by many people especially when they see something great coming on it on investment or even on its technology. Right now bitcoin doesn't need any advertisement since its widely known and if you talk about crypto bitcoin will come to peoples mind so there's no use to market it if someone will volunteer to do such heroic action since bitcoin is already so famous.

Right now I wonder on how far could possibly go on crypto and bitcoin industry since if majority of big countries will fully adopt it then provably we can see bitcoin price to pump up for more especially the supply is so limited.

It's all growth has been natural, it's quite surprising if you think about it.

Is it? Or perhaps you did not fully understand the potential of Bitcoin?

To me it comes to no surprise. The advertisement is the product itself. That's how amazing Bitcoin is. And to those who do not understand how it works or why its so astoundingly important, it might seem like a surprise. Furthermore, Bitcoin had absolutely no competitors because it was the first in its field. Now there are alternative cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and Cardano but if we are being really honest to ourselves, Bitcoin still is the number one. No question. Sure it has its problems, but the solutions exist. And as long as that is true, Bitcoin will remain #1.

Bitcoin doesn't have anyone controlling it, so it's obviously no advertisement that's been made for it to become popular. However, bitcoin enthusiast are the ones who is promoting and advertising bitcoin. Also, these YouTubers who call themselves a crypto experts are also advertising bitcoin. They are not paid to do it, but the poker profit they will make when there's like a 50% global adoption is more than enough for them to be earning.
And currently, merchants are advertising bitcoin as one of the accepted payment options for customer's convenience.

Bitcoin does not require any advertising because it has no organization or ownership of its own. But Bitcoin is a globally known coin. Bitcoin doesn't need a new introduction as countries around the world already know about its importance and necessity.
I definitely agree with this and it also explains why there's no Bitcoin advertisement. If you ask me, i think spreading Bitcoin and teaching someone or a group of people is very much the same as advertising Bitcoin and it's also free although it won't be the same as other advertisement where it is advertised on the internet. If you think about it, when Bitcoin is created there aren't lots of people who use it and compare it right now where some country legalized Bitcoin and known throughout the world through internet without advertising.

          -   Bitcoin is not under regulation, so it is not surprising that bitcoin is decentralized. Then, in my assessment and observation, if I am one of the advertisement owners, I will see and know that I am hearing and watching news that is purely negative, and I will think that my advertisement business will be affected.

Maybe this is one of the reasons why advertisement companies don't want to associate their business with Bitcoin.

Yes, you are correct, Bitcoin has no advertisements, but there are companies that do advertise Bitcoin because it is part of their company activities. What I mean is that, those companies that do advertise Bitcoin or Bitcoin logos in their company manuals or whatever, might be using it as methods to pay their workers, mostly in an online company such as gambling, and online shops can easily pay their workers that are outside their country, just like how most casinos pay through Bitcoin pays their bettors through Bitcoin.

Those companies are not advertising bitcoin, they are using bitcoin's reputation to promote themselves, they are using bitcoin to attract more customers and bring them revenue.  Bitcoin is decentralized and not owned by anyone, but if bitcoin is owned by an individual then the companies that are using the bitcoin image are even violating copyright and need to pay for the bitcoin.  they are using free bitcoin images to promote their business, bitcoin is advertising their business, they are not advertising bitcoin.

Bitcoin advertising is everywhere - I've even seen national television reporting it. Basically bitcoin doesn't need to be advertised - but advertising can make bitcoin much more famous. Bitcoin has been advertised by various centralized exchanges and many influencers too - so I'm not sure bitcoin still doesn't get good publicity in the digital world.

In fact - bitcoin has never paid for any advertising, but bitcoin has been advertised and exploited for the benefit of each advertiser. It's never the same as other crypto - bitcoin is different. One of the biggest advertisements about bitcoin this year is - progress of a spot bitcoin ETF that has not yet been approved by the SEC.
I shouted while agreeing that Bitcoin has never paid any party to advertise like a company advertising its brand and product advantages.
Bitcoin spot ETFs are the biggest advertisement currently being discussed throughout the world with all types of media that function as advertising spaces.

FC Admira Wacker football club put the Bitcoin logo on their jersey. Bitcoin advertisements that all spectators who attend the stadium see every match.

By the way, Congratulations on rank up Legendary _BlackStar.

The fact that Bitcoin does not need advertising reveals all its strengths. No matter how governments call it a bubble or an unreliable asset, supposedly caring about their population, people still look for and find out the correct information about it.
I would say that Bitcoin can be compared to a wind or a wave, from which it is very difficult to isolate yourself. And this is probably the only one whose information does not have its advertiser.

Bitcoin does not need any advert since it is a financial instrument that people trade and make profits from it. Bitcoin had been in existence for more than 10 years now a d it does not need any advert to inform the public about it potential just like the random altcoins projects that we know that can't survive without doing publication or advert to inform investors about it potentials. Many altcoins that we knew are owned by private individuals which make market compulsory so that investors can be informed and purchase the coin project according to there level of risk taking..
