your correct..there is no the so called best year in crypto, as we don't know what will happen in the next 60 seconds of the market..even if the market is bearish if you know what you are doing you can get profit from your holdings
I believe that the best years should be considered not those where the projects reached their peaks in pricing, but those in which the cryptocurrency managed to take steps into the world economic system. In varying degrees, the last 4 years were just that.

Yes, people can invest, get profits, face a decline in value at any time. That means there will be hope for crypto supporters as long as they keep holding their coins. Btw, at this time, bitcoin shows a good trend which certainly provides opportunities for people to get profits or the contrary.

Every year is a good year in crypto space as new opportunities arise every single day either for traders or investors ,I personally make gains from both bear markets and bull markets ,my advice is always build your portfolios in strong bear markets so that you can get many tokens for cheaper price and the best time for trading is when bullrun is around ,this will minimized your lose
But the last bullrun was a total different story entirely ,every single crypto investors make huge gain and only those who are left out the the ones that failed to invest any penny at all,2017 is the best crypto year for me and mostly others
I believe that 2019 is a pretty great year for crypto currencies if you compare it with 2018. Not so much is done till that moment, but BTC has made x3 and ETH has made x2 during the last several months, so it is a pretty great start in my opinion.
