Partnerships update: SPARC is now working with Temple Scott Associates, a leading Canadian government relations and communications firm. Goals: develop government relations-focused briefing materials, introductory meeting program to establish brand recognition and relationships.

Its looking like 2018 could be a good year for SPARC.I emailed the team a few days ago and just got a reply:

Good evening Mark,
 
Indeed I would like to assure you that we are on a good trajectory to hold a successful ICO this summer (intentions for Aug). I would be happy to have a detail conversation with you. Essentially:
1. We have secured partnerships with major customers (MOU with Compute Canada and the Centre for Advanced Computing)
2. We have begun discussions with major compute suppliers (Major Canadian Telecom companies that we cannot announce publicly yet)
3. We have the backing of important investors from the states and are currently organizing a series A for April.
4. We are testing, validating and benchmarking our technology/compute platform with the Centre for Advanced Computing.
5. We are preparing to be listed on two major exchanges by the ICO this summer.
6. We've expanded our team to include new expert developers, a CFO and a COO.
 
Its certainly worth holding on to your SPARC.

Also SPARC's twitter account is full of updates on what the team have done and are doing.Its well worth a visit.I wish i bought some more SPARC at the ICO when it was about $0.01 each.

Congrats to this achievement! Finally some concrete application of your technology. 

Tech update: SPARC completed preparations to run and test its first pilot project using its Distributed Compute Platform.
A computational astronomy project from a PhD student at Queen's University will serve to benchmark performance and relative cost.

Since Jan 1st 2018 SPARC have been very actively tweeting what they are doing.This is a great sign that they working hard to make SPARC a reality.I am glad i bought in early when i did and see only good things coming from them in 2018.

Well, I hope they do well.  I would buy more but the address was rejecting.

Edit:  It still is rejecting transactions.  My first one went through the other week.

Token are still distributed on the alpha SPARC platform for the participating BOINCers , so I don't think this coin is dead

Their 'presale' wallet is now rejecting transactions.

What is going on?

I keep getting a transaction out of gas for the presale address, and when I looked at the address all of its transactions were out of gas.

Any reason for this?

It seems there was a longer delay between the BOINC work update and the SPARC allocation: Got finally some SPARCs this week! Everithing is rolling!
